mechanically, She could survive it if she had the PED suit. so long as you exit hyper mode before 15 seconds and don't shoot at all during hypermode use, you can take an infinite amount of damage during that period, it's usable back too back.
That being, said. actually, even if she does shoot in Hyper mode, the only way she's losing energy is from her own attacks.
she could just tank the scarab gun like that, and shoot him while he can't actually see her with the Hyper beam (charged or uncharged), or Hyper missile.
the missile would likely be ample to kill him.
but, then again the PED suit is cannon, the Scarab gun is a "cheat" in a sense, doesn't exist within the halo story.

The spartan laser is stronger than a super missile, but Samus can fire out more shots of them before he could fire one laser shot.
A super missile would be enough too kill him Judging by Other M their stronger than the rockets the UNCS SPNK uses, the spartan laser would take several shots too kill her. she gets hit by attacks like that all the time and survive.

Sniper would ping off her armor. her shields are not as weak as his, or even as weak as the highest Level Elite shielding (which even those the Sniper bounces off of the first few shots)

Samus has no weak spot on her armor. she's beet hit their before with an energy weapon melee from a super human strong enemy (during a cimetic even) and not even take a scratch.
just like him, her armor is entirely coated in an energy shield, but frankly her's is stronger as it doesn't cack out when being hit by rockets, snipers, large vehicles, super sonic kinetic forces (kinda like the Gauss cannon) and more.

Chief's a spartan II WITH cortana, she elevates his abilities beyond normal spartan II threshold, on top of that Chief also has the latest Mjolnir armor.
Noble 6 is a Spartan III, the cheaper kind of spartan.
Then you have Samus, who has even better armored and armed than Chief or Six combined.

If you were to literally take Samus, from any point in any game and program as is into Halo he still couldn't kill her by hitting her in the back because, even in her incomplete suit(The one from Metroid 1 and the beginning of Metroid ZM) is more durable than anything in Halo and would protect her from his hit. And she could still blast him in Halo. And this argument isn't unwinnable. You can successfully argue Chief's side with logic.
Because the way i see it, considering they are both fictional characters, one of them has been created with superior armor and abilities than the other, this one being samus.
Maybe if they both took of their armor and engaged in hand to hand combat, chief would have a chance, but considering he wears it almost all the time (and is uber pasty because of it) im presuming that samus would wear one of her suits too.

1: Samus also has super human reflexes. 1 missle? good job, catch 5 simultaneous..
2: or other super humans. Samus is a lot more agile than him, and based on Other M and the Metroid manga? welll within Spartan-II ballpark for melee capability.
3: Samus' gunship = faster than every ship known in halo. Gunship > banshii. beh Samus could take it without her ship.
4: gravity suit, neutralizies the gravity hammers effect, making it nothing more than a mere bladed stick.

@pausemental well if would compare MC health to samus health it wouldn't drop instantly her suit can with stand bombs nucluer fusion blasts to missiles to the face and varies beams such as ice plasma and nova beams and still have good health she has 12 energy tanks the contain 99 health points and those things at maxium well take like 12 health away and thanks to varia suit it cut that damage in half so i think a little plasma pistol blast wouldn't be as effective.

The spartan laser is stronger than a super missile, but Samus can fire out more shots of them before he could fire one laser shot.
A super missile would be enough too kill him Judging by Other M their stronger than the rockets the UNCS SPNK uses, the spartan laser would take several shots too kill her. she gets hit by attacks like that all the time and survive.

Sniper would ping off her armor. her shields are not as weak as his, or even as weak as the highest Level Elite shielding (which even those the Sniper bounces off of the first few shots)
chief can dodge missiles, but can he dodge 5 homing missiles at the same time? or being rapid fired?
her suit can't handle high heat? play a metroid game, it's called the varia suit, which gets better with the gravity suit. she takes less damage than he does from plasma fire, even it it engulf's her entire body

Samus has no weak spot on her armor. she's beet hit their before with an energy weapon melee from a super human strong enemy (during a cimetic even) and not even take a scratch.
just like him, her armor is entirely coated in an energy shield, but frankly her's is stronger as it doesn't cack out when being hit by rockets, snipers, large vehicles, super sonic kinetic forces (kinda like the Gauss cannon) and more.

It's not that at all.
by the time this came out, there was only two games for each series.
problem is Halo had significantly more cinematics between the two games than Metroid. some of which weren't even in the actual games.
So the person who made this video had much more to work with on the Halo side.

severe lack of Chozo technology known to figure that one out.
we know Samus' powersuit, Chozo technology, trumps basically any enemy or person in armor seen in Halo's 1, 2, 3, ODST, Reach, and/or Wars.
but that one suit is the only fully operational technology from the supposed "golden age" the Chozo once had that still works. everything besides it seen in the games is Declining chozo era technology.
but seeing as it pretty much has no limit to how strong the suit can become so far? says a lot.

Samus was trained by the Chozo, Metroid's equivilence of the forerunner (possibly even the Precursors) since she was 3, chief was trained since he was 6 by humans.
but otherwise, Samus has a stronger shield, gets more energy back out of her recharge.
more durable, lighter, faster armor with a LOT more gadgets in it.
as WELL as better weapons with infinite ammo.

@Recon527 How so? Samus started her training at an earlier age then the Spartans. On top of that she was raised and trained by an race so advance they reached the peak of technology. The fact that she designs her own ships, can hack a foreign computer with no AI and does 'seemingly impossible' mission on her own(With little to no support from the Federation) I'd say she has better training.

Noble 6 is a Spartan III, the cheaper kind of spartan.
Then you have Samus, who has even better armored and armed than Chief or Six combined.

so in short: because they are both fictional video games IT IS A STUPID ARGUMENT.They can both kill each-other using the various gameplay elements implemented in their respective games. if you took them out of their games, they would go by the gameplay elements of a different game. in super smash brothers, you can kill samus as mario.
if you put samus in halo, mc could assassinate her.
if you put mc in metroid, samus could just blast him.

If you were to literally take Samus, from any point in any game and program as is into Halo he still couldn't kill her by hitting her in the back because, even in her incomplete suit(The one from Metroid 1 and the beginning of Metroid ZM) is more durable than anything in Halo and would protect her from his hit. And she could still blast him in Halo. And this argument isn't unwinnable. You can successfully argue Chief's side with logic.

Because the way i see it, considering they are both fictional characters, one of them has been created with superior armor and abilities than the other, this one being samus.
Maybe if they both took of their armor and engaged in hand to hand combat, chief would have a chance, but considering he wears it almost all the time (and is uber pasty because of it) im presuming that samus would wear one of her suits too.

Same with grunts, master chief can be killed by a little walking triangle.... Any argument with fictional (particularly video game) characters is pointless, because there are so many factors that would contribute to a victory for either of them.

Her suit does have more shielding than his and Varia suit is suppose to protect her from Super Heated temps. Besides were he is going to get a plasma weapon at? I am defending master chief on what is an un-winable argument. It is completely pointless arguing for mc with logic, because they are both fictional characters, and one of them is grossly over-powered.
MC will just duel wield and throw grenades, maybe use a bubble shield, maybe hit her a few times, and thats it :)

1) Samus uses missles/supermissles- master chief has 300% faster reaction speed (even faster in combat or with cortana), allowing him to either dodge or possibly CATCH the missles
2) Melee fight - the only person fast enough to stand toe to toe with MC and win is Keaneu Reeves
3) Banshee- Nuff said
4) Gravity Hammer

it generates less than half a megawatt of energy, Samus gets hit by multi terawatt bursts, EMP grenades, small nuclear blasts, nothing more than a minor loss of energy and sometimes a bit of static.
even under the false assumption it could power down her suit. being the more agile of the two and faster, it's an easy dodge even with it's crap homing, and her Ice beam could easily neutralize it.

@pausemental well if would compare MC health to samus health it wouldn't drop instantly her suit can with stand bombs nucluer fusion blasts to missiles to the face and varies beams such as ice plasma and nova beams and still have good health she has 12 energy tanks the contain 99 health points and those things at maxium well take like 12 health away and thanks to varia suit it cut that damage in half so i think a little plasma pistol blast wouldn't be as effective.

power drain, plasma pistol, Armor lock, Grenade launcher. none of those would instantly drop her shield.

However, it is obvious that with the limitations put on MC (8 grenades, 2 weapons, limited ammo) that he would get clobbered. Don't try to boost him up with your imaginative outlook. He's the limited of the two.

I agree with Samariyu. Therisont is the only one who made factual claims. It's kinda sad. Technically you guys, for those who started saying Halo is better than Metroid, cannot compare these games. They are no where near similar with the exception that both characters where and advanced suit and both have augmentations. Master Chief would have a terrible time against her though. So this whole SvMC thing needs to end. I'm not saying Samus is better. I like them both evenly.
