  • I think your strumming is different when you play fast than when you teach it slow

what I hear on fast is

    ( D U UD U UDUDU)

when I teach I use a variation of this strum, I think it is easier for beginners

    ( D UDUD UDUD )

  • thank you bro God bless you

  • Your videos are great :) Thanx! It's been very helpful.

  • the strumming seems difficult.. but anyway u r a great teacher... sincerely.. God bless u.. i think the strumming depends on the singer..

  • Can you write down the first part of the strumming and chop. How to play that in slow motion thanks ?

  • whats all the chords for blessed be your name?

  • Dude you are great! I wasn't dising you. You are amazing and I thank you!

  • Maybe I am just stupid, but I don't get the verses at "blessed be your name". It seems so easy when you do that, but I think it is a bit diifficult =/ Could you/someone describe it a bit more in details? there is some few words I don't understand beacuse I am a Norwegian xD

  • You can just do this... strum tapx2 strum tapx2 strum tapx1 Then move on to the next chord

  • Maybe I am just stupid, but I don't get the first part of "Blessed be Youre name". ( from 2.32) I think it is a bit difficult =/ I am a beginner, though...

  • Would it not be easier to explain the strum pattern as dd uu dd uu du du. I expect it is the beats that you are trying to show..but grouping the strokes like this makes it pretty easy to remember.

  • No, This is not a straight eighth note pattern. It has a 16th pattern at the end(dudu).

  • Nice lesson. I'm wondering why I'm paying a teacher? You helped me immensely. Thanks, dude.

  • I really liked your channel and this video. If you need any help getting this video exposed I use a site called tubeviews.(net) It has really helped like 20 of my main videos get to the top in position. Its nice.

    Nice.

  • You are great teacher ! Thak You !

  • gosh i suck

    but youur so good

  • fantabulous..that was masterpiece of a teaching!!

  • Thank you man this is good stuff!

  • awsome video i love to play guitar to and i know how to strum rythem really good. Where can i find the strum patterns for these songs.

  • Why doesn't this sound like the strum pattern on the Blessed Be Your Name lesson?

  • Not sure? lol Probably cause when I sing it I strum different. I play a little different if I am just playing in worship band versus having to sing with the youth. I have been doing it for years and still haven't gotten the hang of keeping it so consistent

  • Dude your amazing. Way to use the gifts God has given you. God Bless!

  • thanks a lot man (or woman :-)

  • Hey smitty, what happened to your videos? I have been waiting for a new one! You were the first person I learned songs from and you better keep it up!!

    ;)

  • Hey

I think your videos on "Here I am To Worship" are great. I am also trying to learn "Amazing Grac" and "Agnus Dei" on Acoustic guitar. Could you please pst instructional videos for these for me.

    Thanks and God Bless.

  • i have seen a lot of videos teaching "how to play that song..." but this one was the first I found that taught in a simple way the strumming patterns which i was struggling to learn. Thanks for the video and keep up the good work.

  • glad it helps, thanks for commenting

  • Nice these vids helped me and alot of people wether they comment or not. It is hard teaching strumming cause the slower you go the more weird it is, the speed gives control i guess. God bless

  • no problem, glad they help

  • does this work for "Let everything that has breath"

  • i dont think so, i'll have to check I don't know that song very well. It might work to think of it, try it out, let me know. I'll mess around with it

  • thank you brotha!!

  • Thanks for all your lessons, particularly for these strumming ones. God Bless

  • your welcome
