I went on it finally today at Canada's wonderland. I went 4 times this summer and it was always closed. And it's pretty boring. It spins very slowly. The only I found that was decent was the view. And It wasn't even that breathtaking as I hoped. Too bad it's not taller.

Wind seeker is an ok ride to say at best. I think the time you're at full height capacity is way too short. Other than that I think it's a relaxing ride with spectacular views. It's not scary at all unless you have a serious fear of heights. Go either ealy in te morning or later in teh evenig to avoid the big line ups. I'd give this ride a weak 7 out of 10 simply cz it's too short in terms of ride time.
I've been on it and its the lamest ride it goes really slow and the only thing that might be scary is the height if you're scared of heights .. its a waste ride and ghoster coaster is scarier than this ...
Windseeker at Kings Island in Ohio just opened today... So all it does is just spin? No free-fall or anything? Bleh, Five Million for a larger version of the effn Zephyr ride. (Swings).

@Scottieonfire that is just a stupid myth going around. the same rumor went around when Behemoth and Top Thrill Dragster were built. It never happened. The dummys could only come loose from the seats if the lap bar came open which cannot happen, because a) the lap bars need to be pushed up by the rider once unlocked, and b) there is a seat belt in place. If this had ever happened, the ride would have never opened to the public (3 WS are now open), and no testing would take place.

i wouldnt ride it. the support beams holding the seats are wayyyy too thin, and even the other beams that attach to the main vertical pole... fucking risky to me. i can see one seat breaking off in a few years.

The arms are one piece of structural steel, bolted to the seat chassis and to the gondola. and even in the wost case scenario a seat were to fall from the arm, steel support cables, similar to those on Skyflyer are used as a failsafe. each arm is capable of supporting thousands of pounds.
@FallOutBoyRulez1993 that would be a good thing. Issues have been found that could hamper the long term performance of the ride, so it has been in and out of service to fix said issues to make WS a safe and fun ride for years to come. I have ridden 5 times, and no problems. Swallow that fear and take a ride in the sky!

I went on it finally today at Canada's wonderland. I went 4 times this summer and it was always closed. And it's pretty boring. It spins very slowly. The only I found that was decent was the view. And It wasn't even that breathtaking as I hoped. Too bad it's not taller.

Wind seeker is an ok ride to say at best. I think the time you're at full height capacity is way too short. Other than that I think it's a relaxing ride with spectacular views. It's not scary at all unless you have a serious fear of heights. Go either ealy in te morning or later in teh evenig to avoid the big line ups. I'd give this ride a weak 7 out of 10 simply cz it's too short in terms of ride time.

I've been on it and its the lamest ride it goes really slow and the only thing that might be scary is the height if you're scared of heights .. its a waste ride and ghoster coaster is scarier than this ...

@Scottieonfire that is just a stupid myth going around. the same rumor went around when Behemoth and Top Thrill Dragster were built. It never happened. The dummys could only come loose from the seats if the lap bar came open which cannot happen, because a) the lap bars need to be pushed up by the rider once unlocked, and b) there is a seat belt in place. If this had ever happened, the ride would have never opened to the public (3 WS are now open), and no testing would take place.

i wouldnt ride it. the support beams holding the seats are wayyyy too thin, and even the other beams that attach to the main vertical pole... fucking risky to me. i can see one seat breaking off in a few years.

The arms are one piece of structural steel, bolted to the seat chassis and to the gondola. and even in the wost case scenario a seat were to fall from the arm, steel support cables, similar to those on Skyflyer are used as a failsafe. each arm is capable of supporting thousands of pounds.

Issues have been found that could hamper the long term performance of the ride, so it has been in and out of service to fix said issues to make WS a safe and fun ride for years to come. I have ridden 5 times, and no problems. Swallow that fear and take a ride in the sky!
