  • PULL THE STRING!

  • 3:02 for Dracula's FUCK YOU!!!

  • ¿Dr. Acula? Excelente Stanley DeSantis como Feldman.

  • Bela was a no nonsense guy. What was up with his arm?

Damn, Johnny is such a great actor and I think Tim captured the time period perfectly.

  • @CanadianWarMachine He was a heroin addict I believe, hence why he's always taking his 'medicine' off camera.

  • @LunaticFringe20

Yeah didn't know that before I watched the rest of the movie lol

  • HAHA its so funny to see johnny depp in lady clothes!!!!!! I cant stop laughing !!! :D

  • " Oh, this has to be a put on!"- I admit, if that was a prank, that would be pretty awesome.

    TO THE PUNK'D MOBILE!!!!!

  • HAHAHAHA!!!! THAT IS THE MOST ULTIMATE "FUCK YOU" IN MOTION PICTURE HISTORY!

    FUCK YOU!!!

  • I love the way Bela looks at Ed when he pays him. Bela seemed happy that Ed pulled through for him and gave him the opportunity to work again.

  • Wow lets see

    Scrubs references this movie

    and so does

    The Seed of Chucky lol

  • I'm four parts into this movie and I love it already! Johnny Depp is amazing! he's so talented and I love the permanent smile on Ed's face.

  • PULL THE STRING, PULL THE STRING

  • "We don't have a permit. Run!" LOL!

  • A movie with characters named Edward and Bela that is actually entertaining, well acted, well written, well directed and is an all around great movie?! Who would've thought?!

  • Bwhahahaha

  • What's to protect? That was PERFECT!

  • Not even Tony Montana can't say "fuck you" that epic.

  • Karloff isn't fit to smell my shit!

  • Anybody else agree that Sarah Jessica Parker looks like a man herself @ 6:35 ?

I mean, wow!!! I know they probably did it on purpose, but she doesn't look any more feminine than Johnny does in that angora sweater and blond wig. LMAO

  • @OldManMiki My mom says she's got a face like a horse, many people do, they even did a joke of it on Family Guy.

  • Best ''Fuck You'' in movie history

  • @Tikkuja i loled

  • DOCTERRR ERRR ERRR ACULA!!!!! lol and all those weird hand movements♥ lol!!! i luvvvss johnny depp!!!! AMAZINGLY AWESUM ACTOR EVAR!!!

  • It was weird to hear him call Karloff that limey shit, so I checked it. Sure enough Boris Karloff was really an Englishman called William Pratt. You live and learn

  • aww i wouldn't care if my man dressed as a women hehe i'd love it lol as long as he loved me haha

  • whats to protect its perfect?? lol

  • If you listen to the commentary on the DVD, Burton explains that the relationship between Ed and Bela was similar to the relationship that he shared with Vincent Price while working on Edward Scissorhands.

  • i'm loving this movie..

  • i almost cried laughing when he said "fuck you!"..that was epic!! xD his expressions was priceless!!! xD

  • 6:37

    BOOBIES!!!

  • 2 :19

  • Karloff? Sidekick? FUCK YOU!

  • I'm sorry Bela but your wrong- Only Boris Karloff could have played Frankenstein's monster- You played the monster in Frankenstein Meets The Wolfman- it was the worse portrayal of the monster yet- even Glenn Strange did a much better job playing Frankenstein's monster in Abbott And Costello Meet Frankenstein, and he was Sam the bartender from Gunsmoke

  • @willeecoyotee, He played a sex-change narrator in Glen or Glenda, you don't seem to be bothered by that. Oh, and its Burton who's "Wrong", since he wrote it not Lugosi (if you consider that to be wrong). Was it even Lugosi's fault that he wasn't a great monster? I'm pretty sure he didn't think of himself as Frankestein material anyway.

  • Béla Lugosi + Ed Wood= today = Tim Burton + Johnny Depp they basically do the same thing

  • @YoungBossMajor 3:12 Fuck you!!!!!

  • @YoungBossMajor why are you talking to yourself and then saying the same thing again but replying it to someone??????????

  • big Ed Wood fan I like His films even knowing that He is voted worst filmmaker of

all time I like his work

  • Doctor Acula?

  • @tripwilliams2 no DR. Acula

  • lugosi didn't resent karloff in real life.

    this scene's still funny though.

  • @norristerse i thought he did i heard somewhere that he resented karloffe because karloffe got all the good roles

  • @MyWilliam1996

oh, maybe he did then. they just exaggerated it for this film (i could be wrong about that too!)

  • @norristerse yeah they probably exaggerated it

  • Dr. Acula...wow, subtle.

  • Oh.. I LOVE THIS PART!

Johnny is the greatest Ed Wood! <<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3

  • I need to make an iPhone ringtone of Bela yelling 'Fuck you!' and 'Bullshit!'. That would be a win....for me.

  • @rabidrabbitshuggers You have to share that with all of us!

  • haha.. this movies a gem.

  • Pull the strings!

  • that "two people" thing is really a good point to be made. we all let a part of ourselves be seen by the world and hide away the rest of our personality that we are ashamed of.

  • we don't have a permit. . . RUN! lol XD

  • karlof + sidekick = FUCK U

  • Depp ,=Brilliant, but Landau, was a Revelation!!

  • So, that's Where JD from scrubs got his screenplay idea from. Dr. Acula.

  • What I dont get is why should Bela Lagosi, a man who was born in Austria-Hungary and living some years in Berlin, pronounce "Franenstein" in a english way and not german?

  • @tekus89 imagine your Austrian/Hungarian and living in the U.S.A and you have to entertain the people in that country. You'd favor a pronunciation that they could understand. Sure it's not technically correct but thats what they understand. So, favor the mass populace that the film is made for rather than the technically correct few that might jump in and correct you.

  • Yeah, i guess its better in movies to take the english pronunciation but thats a movie about his personal life. I dont think he spoke like that out of movies.

Even Karloff said Lagosis biggest mistake was not to learn and understand the language correctly.

  • Special features on the Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein DVD. They had the footage of the prank they pulled but stopped rolling just as Bella began to look hot-tempered and started to storm off. They continued with the story by asking a couple people who were on the set, who had studied both his and Abbott and Costello's work, and Bella's son about the story, all of which had basically the same story. At the least, one person said he screamed "Vee should not be playing ven vee are vorking!"

  • Dr... ACULA!

  • BULLSHIT! Im ready now! roll the camera!

  • i love johnny depp and tim burton

  • They work together so well don't they!!! When they join to make a movie it's like magic.

  • Bela Lugosi said Fuck you and it made me smile because he was a great actor and I can picture him doing that transition from calm and collected person to a madman in a fraction of a second.

  • He flipped his shit on Abbott and Costello when they pulled a prank during shooting of Meet Frankenstein. When he learned acting in the Old Country, they only had so much film to shoot with, so he was accustomed to doing single takes. When they ruined his take, he fucking lost it.

  • 1. Ed Wood sounds like Dave Foley, especially when he's in drag.

    2. Hey, it's Vito Spatafore!

  • @TVLazarus: lol you are so right

  • Seeing Johnny is a dress...

His voice reminds me of Willy Wonka!

  • "We don't have a permit.. RUN!"

  • @Seabearr yep best bit

  • @Seabearr He looks like his Willy Wonka character in that moment

  • @Seabearr Me in the situation all the way xD

  • everybody says that the f word is used 8 times in this movie but i only noticed 7 f words could someone please tell me what f word i am missing

  • lmao, wtf?

  • ed wood was never made to make films And im not saying johnny depp is bad im saying that ed wood should of never made any movies since they suck

  • I won't argue with you that his films are an acquired taste at best, but Ed Wood's film's are like an abstract piece of art, beautifully cheesy to some while stupid to others

  • I was recommened this by a friend and I am so glad she did. This is the best. Martin Landou, Johnny Depp, Billy Murray are fantastic

  • it reminds me of the new king kong

  • FUCK YOU!! XD

  • Aye.

  • That was the most epic "Fuck you" ever spoken on film.

  • @Puaru Béla Lugosi + Ed Wood= today = Tim Burton + Johnny Depp they basically do the same thing

  • is there a reason there are roaming bison behind bela lugosi at the end? in a transvestite film? come to think of it, what could the purpose of lugosi's character be in that movie?

  • The bison are behind Lugosi there because... well, that's how it is in the actual "Glen or Glenda". Lugosi's character exists in that movie because Ed Wood was able to hire Lugosi and needed to fit him into his transvestite movie, somehow. "Plan 9 from Outer Space" may be Ed Wood's most famous movie, but "Glen or Glenda" is ten times weirder, and possibly even more unintentionally hilarious.

  • so basically lugosi was crammed in because he was a big name that ed needed. and i get that the bison were in the original, but im asking why would the real wood have put the bison in for no reason?

  • Remember how Lugosi is supposed to be sort of a God-like figure who is overseeing things? Well, he says "Pull the string!" and the bison start stampeding, because, well, he's the Puppetmaster and he just pulled their string. Stupid, maybe, but that's the best I can figure it. Why bison? Because Wood had some stock footage of stampeding bison that he could use for free to pad out the run time. The answer to most questions involving Wood's choices is "It was cheap."

  • hahahahahah i laughed soooo hard at, "PULL THE STRING!"

  • The great thing about Lugosi was that no matter how crappy the script was, he always acted it as though it was the best script in the world! The way his career ended was really quite sad considering how big of star he was in the early '30's! No disrespect to Ed Wood though, at least he recognized Bela's talent!

  • Beware of the big green dragon that sits on your doorstep.....PULL THE STRING.... who in the hell would put that shit in a movie LOL!

  • A genious!

  • parker doesnt look bad at 5:00.

    surprising.

  • "Karloff? Sidekick? FUCK YOU!"

  • PULL DA STWING

  • 3:00

any seinfeld fans? thats the "side-ler" !

  • what about the brozere?

  • lol

  • J.D From Scrubs Stole Ed wood idea!

    Oh One more thing

    PULL THE STRING!!!!

Sorry I could not help myself

  • lol, "Karloff....sidekick? FUCK YOU!" That made me laugh my ass off.

  • haha me too lol

  • Karloff...Sidekick...FUCK YOU!!!

  • PULL THE STRING!!!

    LOL LOL LOL LOL!!!

  • The mad face Johnny makes at 3:27, that's so him!

  • FUCK YOU!!! LOL

  • we don't have a permit...RUN!

that part was funny, yet i have doubts that that's what Ed Wood did in real life

  • we dont have a permit...RUN!

  • LOVE THIS MOVIE AND PLAN 9

  • he doesnt remind me of WONKA AT ALL in this movie he makes me think of how ed wood is

  • omg dr.acula! like from scrubs lol!!! love it when i see depp play this he reminds me of willy wonka!!! woop woop i love this lol!!!!!!!!

  • PULL THE STRINGS!!!

  • CARLOFF DOES NOT DESERVE TO SMELL MY SHIT!!!!

    hahahahahahaha

  • carloff? sidekick? FUCK YOU1!!!!!!!@!@hate!@#!

  • i love how bela swears :D

  • weird i wonder how ed's imagination worked i mean who could someone write the dialouge in the films or the stories of it. at least he got legosi on the screen again. rip wood & logosi. lol "pull the string.pull the string." best line in an ed wood film.

  • The guy who plays Lagoci sounds like Leasly Neilson at times.

  • LOL we dont have a permit RUN!!!

  • XD his faec when he says tht

  • i wonder wat it be like if bella was still alive and actually did this

  • Johnny Depp's Ed Wood reminds me of Brendon from Home Movies.

  • Ed Wood wasn't a terrible director and his movies weren't BAD. just low budget. With more money, he could have done more. Trust me, if you want to see cinematic CRAP, go see "The Spirit". Now THAT was an hour and a half I'm never getting back!

  • Haha oh yea. That was crap lol

  • Ed Wood (the real person) isn't half as bad as some of the movies today.

  • he had enuf budget to do more than one take.

  • i personally think his movies were crap. its not an insult, its just an obvious statement: they were crap. HOWEVER, they do keep you entertained, albeit on a more comedic side. even though they suck, ed was treating every movie like citizen kane and had passion for cinema, which you have to respect in the man. he always looked on the bright side, unlike uwe boll, who'd rather bitch and fight his critics in boxing matches than be proud of his work.

  • i agree with you - his movies were crap! But we gotta respect him for his passion and, like you said, for treating every movie of his like citizen kane - he loved his work and always wanted to tell a story to the audiences... he didn't have the skills but he was a good filmmaker in my opinion and he earns my respect without a doubt!

  • Agree on the Spirit but the man barely took a second take that's not because he was low budget, but because he was lazy and focused on just finishing the script, and that dialogue...jesus. Thats bad entertaining but just bad.

  • Allthough the real Bela would never curse like that, it's hilarious to see Landau (he blooddy brilliant!) go bananas like that! I just love "Bullshit! I'm ready now, roll the camera!", and how he swings his arms around!

  • Johnny Depp dressed as a woman kinda reminds me of John Travolta dressed as a woman in "Hairspray"

  • Pull the stringk!!!!! LOL!!!

  • It must be confusing being an actor playing an actor who has to act in the acting movie! lol

  • HAHAHAHA 3:41!!!!

  • I love Johnny in this movie. But why is it rated R??

  • I think it is because they say the 'F' word a few times. I believe that gives a film an automatic R rating, but I could be wrong.

  • if you use the F word more then twice the movie automatically becomes rated R

  • The language probably. It's possible the MPAA has something against transvestites too. Who knows.

  • lmfaaaoo @ 3:10-3:45

  • J.D. makes a great woman! :-D

  • I love how Johnny's portrail of Ed Wood is similar to his Willy Wonka character. I love both movies. lol

  • Yea I recognized that too. Willy Wonka and ed Wood have really similar characters... Especially the tone of his voice is similar in both movies

  • I wrote, directed, and starred in it, just like Orson Welles did with Citizen Kane!

Yeah, well Orson Welles didn't wear angora sweaters, did he?

  • Love that part!

  • 9:30 - lol!

  • LOL she WAS beautiful but now the horse has taken completely over!

  • Yes, know that you reminds me, I have to agree. I remember, to have seen very uncharming photos- also of her wrinkled hands.

    Sorry.

  • Anyone notice how the company head called him Ward instead of Wood at 9:16?

  • i think he might have said that purposely, oby treats wood with much respect in this movie or his life or it could be a mistake

  • FUCK YOU!

  • I wish he'd made Dr Acula

  • I know, it sounds awesome!

  • Karloff? FUCK U!!!!!!

  • "We don't have a permit. RUN!" awesome line

  • 4:00 - 4:52 I need to quote this.

That line was weird, seeing the scene of the film itself would be just laughable.

But not only do you get Landau living the character of the real actor, it's Howard Shore's score. That music in the background is such an aid that you actually feel the chills of imtimidation of something that you could regularly laugh at.

It's like we're seeing the entire shoot take place from Ed Wood's view. "Perfect!" (under gasp of bewilderment)
