  • ♥ we keep tiny pieces of love and they live forever in the beautiful moment carrying the tide of time back with just a small token.

  • bouleversant , et en 3 mn on arrive à créer une telle émotion!

  • Anyone camera gear?? Lenses?

  • Just Beautiful - Bravo!

  • I've seen 2 versions of this with different background music. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about the piano sheet music for the piano background version. Thanks!

  • I cried from the very start, still crying and can;t stop, no wonder this little film won a global filmmaking contest for aspiring directors. It's titled "Tell It Your Way"...it is so touching... thank you. A friend shared it with me too... people can have their own minds and be individual thinkers without following maniak leaders, they just need some compassion and heart.

  • Kindness matters

  • Am I the only one that cried a little bit? .-.

  • @rachellseesstars >.> Nope

  • @rachellseesstars These tears are the cleansing kind--that come from the soul. It's wonderful to not be alone, too, because of your asking that question. I'm so grateful that a friend shared this video with me, and I'm sharing it with others, too. (Chase)

  • Excelente história contada em apenas 3 minutos.. fantástico....

  • This is lovely. Thank you. :)

  • OMG this is amazing from start to finish. It is so captivating. The music is perfect for the film and the young children look so much like the older actors. So well done! I can't stop watching it. What a worthy winner. The judges got it spot on!

  • The beauty and pure innocence from children untouched by ingrained thinking of prejudice

    …..Loved it♥ ✿•*¨`*♥ •.❤♫❤.•♥*¨`*•✿ ♥

  • As a writer I am humbled by your storytelling ability, it is going to make me rethink the way I am writing my screenplays, to see if I can use less, to gain so much more.

  • Thank you for sending this exceptional movie to my wife Trudi (who is German) and myself. We are new filmmakers, and we were inspired by your remarkable work! I never thought that you could create such a compelling story in 3 minutes. You are a gifted storyteller. We look forward to seeing your other films!

  • loved it

  • I watched it without sound and could follow it very well. pure cinema.

  • Still better love story than twilight

  • The best films always tell their stories with the images they portray. Had it not been a prerequisite, they could have told this story without using a single word.

    Fantastic work!

  • you should turn this into a movie about ww2 and the holocaust it would pay to see it not only that it would an educational experience and a great movie just saying and god bless all victoms of the holocaust

  • i watched this in skool today

  • This is such a beautiful short film. Thank you so much for the inspiration you have given me!

  • Amazing. Very touching.

  • very good !!!!!!!!!!

  • Traurig und schön zugleich gemacht. Klasse!

  • i saw this in school!!!

  • So sweet

  • Amazing :)

  • thank you for posting this

  • hi

  • @STONEMAKERCANADA If you have nothing intelligent to say, please leave.

  • That was beautiful. Just... wow.

  • This has more substance in 3 minutes in many blockbusters. Sad really.

  • Beautiful....

  • Wow. so good.

  • really beautiful and heart warming

  • Wow

  • Goosebumps.

  • This is really beautiful and touching..And given the restrictions. You should really make a full-length movie based on that story.

  • Beautiful

  • Profoundly moving, I cried.

  • @ferreirafsa That is an insult to homosexuals, who were also killed and prosecuted by Nazi's. I hope you thought about that before you laid your hands on the keyboard to type. That is the same as saying they were "repressed Jews."

  • I cried

  • Nazis are nothing but repressed homosesuals.

  • Amazing.

  • beaultifull

  • Man this was incredible. When I heard about the contest I thought about how much they wouldn't be able to say but what really blew me away was how much they could say without any words at all.

  • @spartanman123

Soooo true!!! That's the magic of film making.

  • I like this, giving the lines they had to use it was creative.

  • I like this, giving the lines they had to use it was creative.

  • Neil Strauss aka Style posted this on facebook so I checked it out. Very creative!

  • Silly Germans, always starting world wars and losing. At least their music is decent.

  • AWESOME!

  • Why the frick is a 8year old boyscout wearin a lighter? lots of herb in germany

  • Artfully made bit of anti-White propaganda.

  • @Veritatis61 All white people are nazis? Fuck you. Everyone in this flick is white.

  • wow.... amazing story telling with so few words

    chills up my spine

  • Amazing Story

I'm so glad that they all survived.

  • You can say a lot without words :)

  • Beautifully done! The entrants in this competition "Tell It Your Way" were restricted to six lines of dialogue........but oh what a story this tells!

  • This is truly one beautiful short cinema piece.

  • Made me cry...ahhhhhh!

  • This gave me shivers.. Simply amazing.

  • Goosebumps..........

  • Cool! :o)

  • I honestly cried.

  • BEAUTIFUL!

  • had to watch this the second timeeeeeeee

  • This is a beautiful video. It captures the innocence of children even in horrific circumstances. My prayer for all of us is that we would have compassion for each other and seek to love our neighbors as ourselves. May G-d Bless all of us who were affected by WWII. I pray for the holocaust survivors who are still suffering from the torture they received that G-d will give them a great reward both now and in the next life. • incredible film

  • So beautiful... I had tears in my eyes by the end.

  • AMAZING...

  • Superb - a heart warming and positive story. We need more of this humanity in everyday life.

  • A beautiful story. thank you

  • Wow.

  • Thank you for telling a story through eyes and lens and heart. You remind us that hate may crush us, but love can repair the past. The 716 woman in Auschwitz would have cheered your vision, for she often said, "I do not hate. To hate is to let Hitler win."

  • Beautiful!

  • I am so moved by this. Brilliant. Words so often get in the way.

  • is this UP 2 ?

  • Someone just sent me this at work...now I'm crying at work...

  • wow. That was amazing. Great work!

  • I've watched a 3 hour film and experienced less emotion. There was no need for the Jewish Nazi point - this would be moving whatver the belief system portrayed. Beautifully made.

  • Nitpick: Doesn't the caption "Germany, 1943" count as a line? And how can "Get away, get away" count as a single line of dialog when it's in two separate shots of the scene? I would have scored this as eight lines.

  • @rpresser Depends on the specificity of the rules. If they only allow those six lines of spoken dialogue the caption would be fine. Also I don't know if they had to use exactly six lines and those were them or if they had to use those lines but not necessarily once each.

  • @spartanman123 they could only use 6 lines and each one was given to them "get away. Get away." was one line btw

  • @Catmonk201 Ok did some further research on the contest. The only two rules were it had to be the same six lines of dialogue that Philips Cinema used in their parallel lines project. I'll assume that means they can use the same line again because in The Gift, which was part of the project they also use get away twice. And as for the caption it says six lines of dialogue and that isn't dialogue. The other rule being the films had to be 3 minutes or less so obviously not relevant.

  • @spartanman123 thats because get away get away ws the line not get away was being used twice

  • beautiful!

  • 59 persons are heartless or neo-nazis

  • Apparently can't type either. Too much emotion right now.

Had to watch it a second time. Couldn't see that well through all the tears the first time.

  • Had to it a second time. Couldn't see that well through all the tears the first time.

  • i'm speechless.

  • Awesome!!

  • Wow.. so powerful

  • Amazing.

  • This was stunning and emotional.

  • Even though the German didn´t sound so well, this short film was just wonderfull

I had tears in my eyes at the end of the video

  • great movie, but the germans dont sound real german they sound more like americans, that try to speak german

  • That was an amazing short movie

  • PONIES

  • Clad to be a jew

  • at first i thought they were speaking japanese. well, it's probably because i'm german. so much cliché in so little time ... but seeing it from the cinematic point of view it was just wonderful with very few words. i also thought the accents were adorable. :D especially the girl's one. aaaw. :)

  • @FancyChaos Well, I'm a German who speaks Japanese fluently (Level 2 according to the Japanese Proficiency Test) and can assure you that it doesn't sound like Japanese at all. And no, the German spoken in this little jewel of a film doesn't sound that bad at all. Yes, for Germans it is obvious that those people aren't German, but it sounds much better than in many American movies I've watched so far (and that were many). If our spoken English sounds like that I'd be happy indeed.

  • Wonderful. So much said with so few words.

  • Hitler - the very first modern Brony.

  • Very moving and inspiring reminder of the good in everyone in us.

  • Youtube Godwin's law violation #222,542, 381

    Fail.

  • ending was a little hokey, due to poor music choice

  • wow

  • This made me crie! For me the most sad part is that all that hate and pain was true

  • This is absolutely spectacular.

  • such a touching concept for a video

  • That made me cry...........

  • This gave me goosebumps.

  • I love this!!!! Does anyone know what camera was used?

  • Oh....oh my....I'm speechless, and tearing up. Amazing...

  • wow. this made me cry. heartfelt man..

  • very well filmed. congrats.

  • To all the people that complained about the German "accuracy", maybe you should have donated thousands of dollars to the filmmaker, so he could have flown "real" Germans to the U.S., and put them up for a week during filming, or paid for the crew to go to Germany, for more "location/accent accuracy".

Be REAL people!! Did you "GET" what was going on in the film?!?!

I thought so: Then it did it's job fine..

  • I think the thing I find most ridiculous about this film is most of the other canidates were probably shot by amateurs and low budget film makers… this film was clearly shot by an already employed film maker with a very expensive camera..infact google says he is an established director AND producer…way to shit on the little guys buddy

  • @FernandoLuis191 lol no he's not. he's small time. i just googled him.

  • amazing!

  • @Krissnix Firefox + AdBlock + NoScript - Go Fight Win

  • pretty amazing for just three minutes.

  • cheeesy

  • It's not a "cute story". It's a heartfelt portrayal of unselfish empathy and compassion for another human being. It can apply to any ethnic group, any language, any time. We can be "that boy" to someone else - what is wrong with that message?

  • 53 people who disliked this are heartless.

  • @Bluelantern -- "They have neither head nor heart." -- Nietzsche

  • @htwhyppe sympathy is a weakness according to Nietzsche so your comment makes NO SENSE

  • And seriously how can you dislike this?!

  • Fantastic !

  • poetry in motion.

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

  • And so it goes on.

  • woah.

  • Philips ran a contest called Parallel Lines in which they asked people to create a three-minute short film using only six lines of dialogue: :”What is that?”, “It’s a unicorn”, “Never seen one up close before”, “Beautiful”, “Get away, get away”, and “I’m sorry”. After more than 600 entries were submitted, director Ridley Scott selected the above film, titled “Porcelain Unicorn”, as the winner.

  • That was incredible. I'm in tears right now </3 Thank you so much!

  • chills

  • Quite possible one of the most beautiful short films I have ever watched! Kudos to all involved with the making of this film :))))))

  • This was amazing. Thank you.

  • i'm crying. this was beautiful.

  • they shouldnt have talked at all, the very bad german ruins the movie for everyone who can speak german.

  • excelente

  • oh my god x.xxxxxxxxxxxxFUCKING

    AMAZING

  • Entrants in the Philips-sponsored constrained cinema competition Tell It Your Way were restricted to just six lines of dialogue: “What is that?,” “It’s a unicorn,” “Never seen one up close before,” “Beautiful,” “Get away, get away,” and “I’m sorry.”

Keegan Wilcox’s stunning Porcelain Unicorn was hand-picked as the Grand Prize Winner by director Ridley Scott( via +Tabitha O'Melay)

  • What's German for, "You did a shitty job of putting this back together?"

  • Wow, that was wonderfully done.

  • I'm the kind of person that loves short films and movies about explosions and shooting and guns and killing...but I do have a soft side, and this touched it.

  • There should be more videos like this on Youtube. It's just breathtaking

  • I wish more people would immediately thumbs-down ANY comment they see asking for thumbs up, or discussing the number of people who disliked the video. We can all see that, and have no reason to validate you. Let ACTUAL comments get the thumbs.

  • its really nice but sad that they try to speak german if they are not german. me, as a native german, hears that... it would be okay if they speak english, but for me it destroys the feeling a bit...

  • 50 nazifucktards arround here…

  • Whatever. I thought it was great.

  • So were 48 people mad that hitler lost the war?

  • 1)Unicorn

    2)Jews

    3)Spielberg

    Watch Tintin

  • @Dalmos85 Bravo ! It's encouraging to see that now and again intelligent and sensitive people also make comments..

  • Awesome. Very well done! :-)

  • @Dalmos85 My sentiments exactly.

  • The predictability of Nazi/Third Reich films winning prizes is a total blow to real creativity and contemporary style and content in cinema. Even if well ment and well done, this can only be called exploitation.

Not only is the spoken language hardly recognisable as German, but this is another example of a reproduction of cultural and historical stereotypes for the sake of instant emotion that wears off quickly and leaves a bad hang over of shallowness.

  • @Daimos85 We should never have enough of this films, for the eternity, so this would never happen again! Go cry to Auschwitz!

  • @Daimos85 What does an accurate costume makes for a difference in a mass murder situation? It´s not about acting nor costumes my dear, your just sad!

  • @kurwinsky You are again mixing up my formal criticism of a 3 minute short film made in 2011 with actual historical events.

But if you like to go down that road, I will tell you the difference: The (at least) 6 million victims of the holocaust didn't wear costumes, weren't actors and were not Americans. To them it would be sheer mockery, if they had known that some 70 years later a bunch of young Americans use their actual suffering and exploit and distort it for a cute story in a short film!

  • Propaganda films are so much fun!
