Right click your volume tab on the task bar.

Click "Recording devices".

Select your microphone.

Click "Properties".

On the tabs up top click "Levels".

Move the meter all the way to the right. (100)

Click "Apply" and "Ok"

@RabiEnRoll What recording software do you use and what editing software do you use.. I myself am in the middle of LPing NSML and I turn out loud enough and the in-game sounds perfect. I know I can help ya.

@Night4ce1 It's not related to the game itself. It's just his audio and microphone volume levels that are borked.

@OptimisedGaming OR it could be recording software holding him back.. I use Camtasia Studios to make my videos. The editing software CAN individually raise his voice recording and lower the windows sound output recording. All done in under a minute..

@Night4ce1 I recall he said he uses FRAPS. Problem is FRAPS has no volume control and records your system at max, regardless of main volume setting, so the only way to change levels is to reduce game volume.

You are right, there IS something on that ledge to the left in Extra 3. It's a LOT easier to reach with a Reisen suit.

@Torqegood He sings a little bit at the beginning of some videos as a sound test to make sure his microphone is on when he starts recording.

have you tried the simple trick of just turning down the wave volume on your computer of if your are running vista/7 turn down the audio for the game it self?

@TheRealNinjaBoy These would not serve to make me louder. I want myself to be audible at reasonable system volume levels regardless of the game volume.

Also yes, I do play with the system volume to turn the game down when recording.

@TheAlansine I may give this a shot. I haven't found a volume control in VirtualDub but if all else fails I can just crank it up in GoldWave and then overlay the new louder audio.
