Okay one question, in the wii version piston honda only lost once...assuming it was to Mr Sandman(Champ) so if he has a "perfect" record why doesnt he fight bear hugger?
1. In the NES version, the Hondo Rush was called the Piston Punch. And his uppercut was called the Kamikaze Punch. (I learned that from the Nintendo Player's Guide :P)
2. You forgot to mention Piston Hurricane, from the arcade version and Super Punch-Out on the SNES. He fought just like Piston Honda, except he was black, and was from Cuba.
I've got a better question, WHO THE HELL PUNCHES A GUY WHOS BOWING? I know the bell has rung, but thats still dickish little mac. VERY DICKISH

In my wii,if you hit hondo on the body when he does the hondo rush, you only gain a star insteaf of 1 hit KOing him.

Hondo's theme is an arranged version of "Sakura, Sakura."

When bowing, if you have the chance, throw a star punch at him and he'll go right down!

You do realize you could've just dragged a fight with Hondo on to Round 2 in Exhibition, right?

I loved how Piston Hondo showed off some Japanese food in the Title Defense mode intermissions! Stereotypes for the win!

Hondo has 6 "Mid-Round Intermission" Scenes... which I actually find very interesting.

Piston Hondo should have been Major Curcuit Champ

@BluntmanEXE I bet they switched it to the Hondo rush to make it based off the Hurricane rush.

I gotta say. The theme mixing in the beginning of every episode is awesome.

how do you know its not a new character completly, they like to have new characters with names very similar to other ones, just kidding.
zigguaurt8 2 years ago
It's the same character. They just changed his name to avoid copyright infringement with the Japanese automaker, "Honda".
