Just a tip for you. If you are allowed to drive around the burn out box and then back into the water to do your burn-out you will launch better. The front tires will still be a bit wet from driving through the burn-out box water and will drip into a small puddle when staging. When you launch your rear tires will spin a bit as they go through the puddle and you will lose some time. See if makes a difference for you. Cheers.
@p71c1 Your car has a lot more potential if you can keep your rear tires hooked off the line. If you look at how long your tires were squeeling it's around a second. I think if you can keep those tires glued you should be able to run a 14.2 easy. Would be cool to see what happens if you add some longtube headers into the mix.
I enjoy the vids, but thats not a lightning it's probably supercharged to be able to run that fast. lightnings have the flare side (step-side) beds. love the vic tho
Nice Crown Vic you have there man. It sounds good. I want to do a supercharged Lightning swap into my CV. But I prefer automatic. Would the original 4R100 transmission be good? Or can the newer 5R55S and 6R80 automatics handle it?
Sorry I meant the Lightning trans which is the 4R100. And yes my Crown Vic has the earlier 4R70W. It's a very good gearbox and I know it can handle a lot. But if I can get a modern, more efficient gearbox, then I'll keep an open mind.
@casinotriple the problem if you try to run the 4r100 with the crown vic pcm is that you will have to do lots of dataloging in order to make it work and even though I would either get a rebuilted bullet proof 4r70w or a manual trans since you are there lol
Good point, I forgot about the electronic issues. I'll probably run into a few anyway with the motor swap but one less problem to worry about. I was leaning towards my 4R70W auto to get built, so now I'm sure.
That was an amazing run, very nice job, I am surprised how well you kept up with him!

You need to get a video of you doing a burnout at the track with the slicks. That would be sweet.

@casinotriple thanks man
are you talking abouth the crown vic trans or the lightning one? because depending of the year of your crown vic it's either a 4r70w or 4r75w
