  • awsome love chris de burgh and this is a fav one

  • ora vamos la. esta versão ficou uma maravilha. em termos. de riquezas de arranjos.gostei muito.na versão do paul .e um clássico dos beatles.não da para comparar e original.

  • is dead

  • A beautiful rendition. You can't sing this song unless you feel it. You can, I guess, but no one else will.

  • Thank you for sharing Chris' interpretation of this much loved song. I have identified with this song since I was an abandoned child in the 70's.

    Love to you,

Wishing you Love, Peace & Joy,

    Bridgette, xoxooxo

  • Muito bonito, parabéns!

  • This sounds like a very carefully prepared version. I am playing it over and over; it is a beautiful interpretation.

  • sometimes I wonder what all the fuss was about..the Beatles were really not brilliant, good -yes, Brilliant No.

Having being a Beatle fan in the late 60's and 70's , I find most of the covers are far better than the originals.

And its not about technology since no one sings Elvis better than Elvis. It's about being brilliant and the Beatles were not

  • @VN223 you're an idiot

  • excellent vocal

  • Die beste Version dieses Songs.

  • This version is the most I like, so goooooooddddddddd

  • Wow ....amazing! ...Loved it!

  • ok aay

  • Simply a better version than His Sloppiness could manage these days. Feel free to disagree, but anyone who understands music knows it.

    Cheers.

  • GREAT!!!!!!

  • Chris is a great interpreter of songs, and always had a very strong live voice when i saw him in concert in the 90's. George Michael does a better version than all of them. he is very good at cover songs (see you tube)

  • People make me laugh , you make comments about the better voice and also criticise Paul macs Voice ..You obviuosly have never Sung for a living ..Most pro singers loose the top end of their Chest register( as High as you can sing without breaking into Choirboy Falsetto) as they age .Pauls Hi chest and chest voice are great , he is fucking 60 Odd! ..Chris de Burgh sings it in a nice club cabaret style, his vibrato is a bit scarey, his version not have the angst and whimsy of Pauls .

  • @candidcomment I think you know what your talking about musically. However, to suggest he is Cabaret i disagree have you listened to any of his up tempo stuff? What do mean about the vibrato being scary?

  • @truthwar333 aha VIBRATO _Ok have you heard of Fergal Sharkey? he is another irish singer who uses so much Vibrato when he sings its Horrible, I assume you know what Vibrato is? as a singer you try not to use it cause its horrible and subrtacts from holding a Clean nice intonated note( No Vibration) Chris has had a few great songs but he sings this with Vibrato.its just wrong!

  • @candidcomment Hi - I am not sure if I understand the concept of VIBRATO is it making your voice warrble so it is easier to hold the note better? Are you a singing coach or something?

  • @candidcomment I see your point Candidcomment but honeslty Paul Marcartney sounds dreadful when he sing thos live. I think Chris would give him a run for his money if you put them both on stage at the same time to sing!!!!

  • @truthwar333 Yes ...but you are missing the point. Who wrote this amazing piece of meloncholy? PAUL !!!!!!!! Not Chris ! Lets jump to Bob Dylan , he sings like shit but he sings the songs he writes beautifully, it takes so much more than being a good singer, good singers are in every second Bar , but great composers that sing their own incredible compositions.

  • This is an excellant cover from Chris De Burgh. The orchastration is just right, and his voice is spot on. This is my favorite Beatles song, and one I listen to every day.

If CDB could play piano and sing, it would be near perfect.

  • Any One's Better than the Beatle's vocaly their just bad.

  • @bufsoftley stfu noob u know nothing.

  • @bufsoftley Well Pavarotti ..try and sing "OH Darling : in the original key ! then tell me about how bad the beatles are!

  • Just when you think there's a Beatles song no-one can kill.....!

  • orchestra douze points, de burgh nil points - sir, you cant sing this song without emotion and you have just been the first to do so

  • Outside of Paul McCartney's incomparably haunting & original recording... with him playing on the piano, with Ringo and John Lennon each doing their own parts contemplatively.... this is one of the best. But for sure, de Burgh's rendition here has, unquestionably, the absolutely most exquisite accompanying background music, by far...

  • The best is Chris de Burgh This is the best Lied. .)

  • What an amazing cover!

    Moved me to tears.

What a great song by sir Paul McCartney.

  • You can never be as good as the Beatles, but this is as close as you can get.

  • Un excelente interprete, una voz increible.....Me emociona escucharlo....sobre todo recordar....Gracias, cariños.....

  • what a guy watched him in liverpool this year he was fab xx

  • My favorite beatles tune and my favorite male singer.

  • sounds just like on the footsteps album

  • Fantastisch! Beter dan een Beatle dit ooit heeft gezongen......

  • I have to respectfully disagree. Chris' voice has aged much better than Pauls. His voice is richer than Pauls and therefore does a better job. I think the original Beatle's version is great though.

  • @doncolaf1 Pauls middle voice has definately lost it's way, however his top range is as good, if not better than ever. Thing is CDB has only ever sung in a certain range so he's nothing to lose. That said it's a decent enough cover.

  • @ziggy95 I have to disagree about Cdeb only ever singing in a specific range. If you check out his older material, such as The Ferryman and high on Emotion, you'll notice that he use to hit much higher notes. Like all singers, CDEB's voice has also changed over time. It sounds lower to me, deeper. I've heard him live a couple of times and his voice comes across as very strong. Although I will admit he has to go into falsetto for very high notes. But still, it has aged better than Paul's.

  • @doncolaf1 ARe You Drunk?

  • @rambo2012 I have a glass of wine every now and then, but I think I was pretty lucid when I made that remark. I'm just telling it how it is. Find any recent video with Paul singing live. You simply can't compare the two. Paul's voice is shot!! Yes, Chris is a vibrato as has been explained below and I can understand the original beatles version being better, but as far as their present voices are concerned, Cdeb's in simply better.

  • @f1cola Karaoke!

  • @rambo2012 Is this the REAL Rambo?!?!?

  • @doncolaf1 No disrespect to Sir Paul, but I have to agree ... my only criticism is that with such a gorgeous smooth voice, I do wish he'd hold the notes longer instead of singing so choppy.

  • @doncolaf1 Paul is older than Chris. Period.

  • Your kidding! Paul is great and leaves Chris De Burgh way in the shadows. But honestly Paul sounds dreadful when he sings this live - Chris De Burghs version is much better by a mile. The only better version than this is George Michaels version.

  • Sehr schön!

  • weakest song and one whats been done to death . but all the rest on album are first class or it may be me not likeing this song

    pacman

  • great performance, just love it

  • This is a great perfomance - he does it justice!

  • :-)Hab ich auch im ZDF gesehen..danke für das Reinsetzen..:-)

  • wonderful.thank you.keep sending more videos.
