Well I am back again here to ask the master another question. I just purchased a new Walnut stock for this rifle. But I cannot figure out how to remove the Bayonnet Also where can I purchase parts for this rifle
As for parts, the only place I am aware of is gunpartscorp. Haven't tried anyone else mostly due to their ability to ship parts to Canada while everyone else can't ship out of USA.
@blackbeard456 Remove the barreled action from the stock. There is a large slot screw that runs through the muzzle end of the stock, through the front sling keeper. Back the screw out and wiggle the bayoned lug free. Might need a little gentle persuasion to get the lug to start backing out of the stock - it's tight.
@WaffenMit what holds in your firing pin? on mine the firing pin is free floating and comes out when i pull back the bolt. im told its missing a C-clip but i cant find any thing that shows that.
I think for removing the bayonet you just have to knock out a couple pins, which may not be that easy.
If the previous owner was doing a crappy job cleaning it you should pay extra attention to the gas port and sleeve to make sure there is no excess fouling buildup in there. My gas sleeve was nearly seized up with gunk when I got it.
As for buttplates, are you looking for the inner or outer?
@WaffenMitUns I believe I need the outer plate. This clown had placed a plastic butt plate and used sheet rock screws to hold it in place. The design of the CZ 52 is different than an sks in reference to the gas port and pistons. What I will probably do is clean it up and get rid of the rust then turn it over to a gun smith I use to make sue it is safe
That is my next plan of action. This weapon is so dirty, the guy lied to me about it having been cleaned and used by himself. But all of the parts are there and so long as I can write men like you and get advice I will be fine
By the way, I noticed that you had a m1917 Eddystone . I just got the Pattern 14 eddystone in perfect condition and the serial number is close to 10,000 has the red strip that tells everyone it was a 303 and the white stripe that said deactivated by the british Army. History is fun
I was watching your take down video and I cannot remove the front ring even when I depress the button which holds the bayonet. Now it does slide just a little but something maybe holding it back Any suggestions

@PRACERZ
It's a nice alternative to the common SKS.

Strange, mine falls off easily. Maybe it needs to be tapped off with a wooden mallet of some kind.

Maybe try using a narrower punch to fit in that hole.

do you have a spare magazine for this gun, or do you know someone who does, as i have lost mine i will pay top dollar. what country are you in?
WillLemax 3 months ago
@WillLemax
Last time I checked gunpartscorp had magazines in stock in 7.62x39mm, they probably only ship those magazines within USA though.

I would love for you to take some paint thinner to the metal and restore it lol

@ryangg49
Yeah it is definitely on my to-do list. I might just get a replacement upper handguard instead.
I'm afraid I might find something horrible under that paint...
WaffenMitUns 3 months ago
@WaffenMitUns that's true lol.... but there is always MORE black paint just in case lol
