The "infinite loading screen" seems to happen after you've started with a party in a lobby, and people have dropped out to give you less than enough to play. It seems like when this happens, it is impossible to get any more players into that lobby. In this case, I back out and start again.

the sniping patch made it hard to snipe traditionally now all i can do to get a good kd is qs.fix it. please make sniping like in waw, if u want qsing to require skill just remove the aim reticule from snipers as when someone qs they aim from the hip first then scope in and shot. the aim reticule make it easy for them, so take it off snipers that's it.. Get rid of that stupid 2 sec sniper rule, maybe make the scope in speed alittle slower like in waw.. thumbs up so tryarch can see!!!

Game still freezes up when dealing with multiple explosions. Was on Zombies and in the PaP room in Theater and as I started chunking grenades the game tapped out on me.

Mainly the problem with host migration in the Ready Screen that causes everyone in the lobby to return to the Main Menu? The game freezes on me (three times today!) at random even if there's not that much happening at the time i.e not a shit load of kill streaks at once etc. I'm starting to doubt if it will ever be fully patched properly and also fear it's fucking up my beloved PS3. Why does Black Ops feel like a broken game patched up with duct tape? I mean, I've been playing it a while. I like it better than MW2, but it just feels like it's just waiting to break
Before 1.05 I only got nat moderate and often strict. WITH uPnP. (Either DMZ hosting or port forward triggering, didnt matter.) Seem to work now. Still, super annoying. I would pop in MW2 and not only nat open but host 18 player lobbys.
I swear on Black Ops I can put a full clip into someone with any gun and somehow always lose..... and no I'm not a bad player! I am awesome (not to sound cocky) on MW2 but Black Ops is just designed for campers and noobs.
I was playing ground war domination on WMD and it froze at one point were I died. So I left my ps3 alone for a good 10 minutes to see weather it would put me back in my party but it was still frozen in the same place after 10 minutes. I have now found out that changing your game search to "locale" helps a lot.
I'm really tired of all the people saying "Its got some issues but Black Ops is still a good game." I'm pretty sure that if a game needs upwards of 5 patches within a 3 month period after release and it's STILL unplayable then it's NOT A GOOD GAME.

hey NGT... do you know if treyarch is going to address the problems with host lag on the ps3. i get full bars but get all glitched the f*** out. i usually quit because its too much of a headache. i think it is because the host records the game, is this the problem?
@unstopableguy1 Just go into offline split screen, play either TDM or FFA and set enemies and friends to 5 in the options. You can't use Combat Training offline, but there are bots in offline splitscreen (but just like Combat Training, you can't play any objective game.)
@belligerencypher how do you set enemies and friends to 5 (i checked the options on the multiplayer menu and there was no option to set enemies or friends)
@unstopableguy1 It might be that the offline bot option was added in a patch. (Which, as you, know requires an internet connection.) If not, then once you go in split screen (offline) from multiplayer, go to "edit game type" (I think) and set it to TDM or FFA. Then go to "edit game options" and set enemies to 5 and friends to 5 (note that these will be the last two listed on this menu). Hopefully that helps, it's kinda hard to give instructions without the game in front of me.
i own both ps3 and 360 and play black ops on both systems. i have no bias toward either. bottom line is ps3 owners got the shaft in that even after all of these patches and regardless of party and connection issues, black ops still runs WAY WAY smoother on 360 PERIOD. now if treyarch ever makes them play the same (like IW did in MW2 and COD4), i will feel as though my money on the ps3 version wasn't wasted.
@TheJaezus the rason it runs smoother is because treyarch is a fanboy for the 360 and they alone beta tested it for the 360 and just change the format so ps3 can plat it
but i dont play my 360 NOT BECAUSE I THINK PS3 IS SUPERIOR but i dont have that many games for it and i would rather suffer playing a game with an average internet connection(2-3 bars) that is free than pay 60 bucks a year wich could buy me another game.
i don't know y everyone argues about ps3 or 360 they are almost the same in every way. but there are some differences 3 to be exactly:
1. 360 has a way better community than ps3 mainly because sony only allows 100 people to be ur friends.
2. ps3 has blu-ray and a better graphics card which allows the system to process images faster.
3.if a game is the reason for it messing up and not the system y do fanboys come and start shit about the system in my OPINION ps3 is better BUT i do own both
They must patch another thing: If you reload with a sniper (L96A1) and you press 2 times triangle while you are reloading it switch to you're second weapon, and not to you're sniper. So please also patch this.

it happened to me in ffa & domination quite a lot. Your game is running fine, and then suddenly, boom, your screen freezes, and you can try all sort of things, but the only way to get rid of it, it to reboot your ps3 with the button on it, even your controllers will be frozen

@24Vett Actually the PS3 and Xbox have more similarities than differences. PS3 is slightly more powerful graphics wise. But that only matters for exclusive titles. And they exploit that very well (God of War 3, Uncharted 2, Heavy Rain). Xbox obviously has a better online community. Mainly because more people have mics. They operate almost identical now. Xbox only has more players (aka assholes) because of Halo. I play Xbox more though. Love my PS3 too.

I own a 360 from WHEN IT CAME OUT, and it still works (Yes, the original.) And Black Ops works fine, they need to fix the PS3, that really sucks guys.

I just watch this today and at 9:45 suffered from the horrible game loading freeze what was the word... improved or whatever I can't remember but its not improved from where I stand and its defiantly not fixed that's for sure thanks for all the vids master bations are some of my fav keep up the great work look forward to new vid peace!!!!

That whole "rare situations involving a combination....." is bullshit. The game freezes on me (three times today!) at random even if there's not that much happening at the time i.e not a shit load of kill streaks at once etc. I'm starting to doubt if it will ever be fully patched properly and also fear it's fucking up my beloved PS3. i just sent in 1 ps3 for secvicing through sony and already can tell its gonna b a horrible experience since the controller i sent n to get a new 1 is just sitting there cause they to sorry to send me the new 1 sent n the 13 now its the 9 wtf sony and now to beat all black ops has ceased to play on my backup ps3 both only a month out of the factory warranty period so n general fu sony im bout to switch to microsoft

Before 1.05 I only got nat moderate and often strict. WITH uPnP. (Either DMZ hosting or port forward triggering, didnt matter.) Seem to work now. Still, super annoying. I would pop in MW2 and not only nat open but host 18 player lobbys.

I lag on Black Ops WAY more than I do on MW2 :/
I swear on Black Ops I can put a full clip into someone with any gun and somehow always lose..... and no I'm not a bad player! I am awesome (not to sound cocky) on MW2 but Black Ops is just designed for campers and noobs.

I was playing ground war domination on WMD and it froze at one point were I died. So I left my ps3 alone for a good 10 minutes to see weather it would put me back in my party but it was still frozen in the same place after 10 minutes. I have now found out that changing your game search to "locale" helps a lot.

I'm really tired of all the people saying "Its got some issues but Black Ops is still a good game." I'm pretty sure that if a game needs upwards of 5 patches within a 3 month period after release and it's STILL unplayable then it's NOT A GOOD GAME.

@unstopableguy1 Just go into offline split screen, play either TDM or FFA and set enemies and friends to 5 in the options. You can't use Combat Training offline, but there are bots in offline splitscreen (but just like Combat Training, you can't play any objective game.)

@unstopableguy1 It might be that the offline bot option was added in a patch. (Which, as you, know requires an internet connection.) If not, then once you go in split screen (offline) from multiplayer, go to "edit game type" (I think) and set it to TDM or FFA. Then go to "edit game options" and set enemies to 5 and friends to 5 (note that these will be the last two listed on this menu). Hopefully that helps, it's kinda hard to give instructions without the game in front of me.

i own both ps3 and 360 and play black ops on both systems. i have no bias toward either. bottom line is ps3 owners got the shaft in that even after all of these patches and regardless of party and connection issues, black ops still runs WAY WAY smoother on 360 PERIOD. now if treyarch ever makes them play the same (like IW did in MW2 and COD4), i will feel as though my money on the ps3 version wasn't wasted.

i don't know y everyone argues about ps3 or 360 they are almost the same in every way. but there are some differences 3 to be exactly:
1. 360 has a way better community than ps3 mainly because sony only allows 100 people to be ur friends.
2. ps3 has blu-ray and a better graphics card which allows the system to process images faster.
3.if a game is the reason for it messing up and not the system y do fanboys come and start shit about the system in my OPINION ps3 is better BUT i do own both

They must patch another thing: If you reload with a sniper (L96A1) and you press 2 times triangle while you are reloading it switch to you're second weapon, and not to you're sniper. So please also patch this.

Patch 1.06 Freezing problem to me;
it happened to me in ffa & domination quite a lot. Your game is running fine, and then suddenly, boom, your screen freezes, and you can try all sort of things, but the only way to get rid of it, it to reboot your ps3 with the button on it, even your controllers will be frozen

@24Vett Actually the PS3 and Xbox have more similarities than differences. PS3 is slightly more powerful graphics wise. But that only matters for exclusive titles. And they exploit that very well (God of War 3, Uncharted 2, Heavy Rain). Xbox obviously has a better online community. Mainly because more people have mics. They operate almost identical now. Xbox only has more players (aka assholes) because of Halo. I play Xbox more though. Love my PS3 too.

I own a 360 from WHEN IT CAME OUT, and it still works (Yes, the original.) And Black Ops works fine, they need to fix the PS3, that really sucks guys.
