  • I wish life was like that evert boy wanted to be a cowboy toy guns were every thing

  • by placing a mix of black powder and tissue paper in the cartridges, the gun would fire pencil erasers through paper targets from across the lawn. This would make the toy very dirty rather quickly. It would jam up and often break under these conditions.

  • Holly shit. I would kill for one

  • Has anyone bought the stick'm caps on ebay? do they still work after all those years?

  • sucks that they didn't have these when I was a kid. To worried about making cap guns cheap, out of plastic and with an orange tip so they would be politically correct. Hell today they paint the whole cap gun gun red or blue.

  • Santa, Don't buy one for @DannyandBrandonTV

  • They don't make em like they used to lol

  • Why can't Mattel sell this great toy today? It would be a winner.

  • Dear Santa...

  • 0:04-0:31 EPIC!

  • ok dempsey turn the teleport on we are going back to the 60s t get this

  • greenie stickum caps. . .gotta luv it. . .Like other posters, I loved greenie stickum caps and still have a toy cap pistol from my youth. Never fired a real gun and am staunchly anti-war. . .but I'm still a sucker for Clint and John Wayne. . .

  • LOL

  • You are watching a demonstation of the most authentic cap pistol in the world, which if you were seen with now in public you wold get shot by a jumpy cop.

  • Wow. Very elaborate. You can see why they went to cheaper to produce models, though. Very impressed with the cartridge ejector.

  • Love them blue jeans with the legs cuffed.little bastard thinks he is billy bad ass now cause he is packing a colt 45.

  • @SIGNALSTAT Yeah man, fucking kids playing with toy guns. Pah!

  • i bet this gun could shoot real bullets with a few simple mods.

  • Notice the hands. The hands are not those of a child. All in all though this commercial is still awesome.

  • CAPGUNS.ORG

    Don't be a stranger

  • i think was 10 dollar 1950

  • "Worth 12 dollars. Never been used."

  • Our commericals are WAYYY better. Check them out and comment

  • back than it was 5 cents now its 500 dollars on ebay (not a joke) and even if you buy it how are you supposed to play with it, imagine how many you could buy if you had 500 back than. you would have a whole army

  • THE BEST TOY EVER!! WISH I COULD GET ONE!!

  • I want one!

  • now days you would be arrested

  • Wutz those tape thingiez on da bak of da bullter??

  • @xaioguy73 the caps

  • @xaioguy73 - they were called "Greenie Stick-um Caps". They were caps that fired when you pulled the trigger and the hammer hit the bullet.

  • D: That's *such* an awesome toy! Curse my generation...

  • My bestfriend jesse is bi!

  • wow i tried this couse my dad brought 1 when his is 10 years old and now he pass it to me and i am lucky couse still have 40 bullets couse dad fired 5 and broke grandma's vase and grandma throw it at the bassment until 2 years ago....

  • I need it!!!!!

  • U could never get away with that now but I want one.

  • Thanks for sharing.

  • I was born in the wrong time-period :S

  • @AlexS9403 yeah me too

  • @AlexS9403 same here

  • @AlexS9403 then you would have been dead and not able to have posted that comment :3

  • I loved this thing. I think myself, and all my step brothers had one of these. Of course you had to have the "Greenie Stick 'Em" caps as well. I would love to find one of these in working order with the bullets. I even remember the propaganda film that led to the ban of these very realistic cap guns. *sigh* Always someone coming along and f*cking things up for the rest of us.

  • You can tell it's matell it's swell WHAT THE HELL???

  • @SK8MAN9909 lol

  • i want one!! that's an awesome toy..makes me want to start collecting ban toys in the usa from mattel..think there's a market in that ..lol

  • Wow. I used to have this toy as a kid and thanks to my towns laws its illegal and i really would like to have it as a collectors item to show my kids what me and my friends used to play with.

  • i think this was a healthy toy. not really that likely to hurt but essentially teaching the lesson of how guns REALLY work. if a kid can do this he has the knowledge to understand what a real bullet will do with a powder load instead of just a cap. , and the difference between a little plastic ball and a .38 bullet. kids are a lot smarter than people give them credit for. we teach them to misunderstand the world and then demand that they grow up- because we "know better" . it's sick.

  • I had that same gun. That was the Matt Dillon one. You could get a Roy Rogers one and a "Have Gun Will Travel" one it came with the calling cards.

  • 0:35 was pretty cool...

  • I'm sure some dumb kid tried to put dad's real bullets in the toy-gun and that was the end for that model.

  • @kirk85kirk lol and change in the laws

  • remember playing army and cowboys as a kid never see that anywhere today

  • I WANT MINE BACK. 47 years and I miss it.

  • @drg120001 Ditto...I miss this one a lot. I also had a belt buckle that had a realistic looking derringer on it. It didn't shoot bullets, like the above gun, but if you pulled a little handle it would sing out, away from the buckle and shoot caps.

  • I NEED TO GET ME ONE OF THESE !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • that would be fun

  • My dad use to have one of these, but he does not know where it is anymore

  • i want 1 thts no plastic tht brakes i want 1 of them

  • lol

  • 0:25 yooo

  • This is why I had a time machine because the only place I could find this it cost over $300,but back then it only cost $3,and the worst part is I LOVE guns, and this would be really fun to toy around with,BUT $300 SUCKS,I WISH THEY WERE STILL $3!

  • @Negamanmmj21 3$ back then was alot more money than 3$ today....

  • @game1hova MacDonald's burger was about .20 cents, gas was 19 cents a gallon. coke 8 ounce was 10 cent

  • Comment removed

  • @Negamanmmj21 i wish they were no more then 30$ or even 50$ but 300$ damn..... and you know if you buy it and start playing with it it will just brake caz its ages OLD..

  • I miss real metal cap guns. I had one back in the 60's when I was 5 years old. We went to a western theme park call Frontier Town that summers. During the course of the afternoon we rode a stagecoach that wound up being held up by "badguys". One stuck his bandana masked face in the stage coach window and pointed his gun at me and said"stick em up!" so I of course let him have it right across the nose with my metal cap gun! Boy was he pissed at being pistol whipped like that!

  • One of my greatest childhood memories is unrolling a new roll of red paper caps and running them through the gun and the smell of the exploding caps. Many were duds but we took care of them out on the porth with a hammer. Good fun!!!

  • i still have my shootin shell exactly like this ran out of bullets when i was young

  • well as it sits now criminals, as always, will have access to all the guns they want. No law has ever stopped any criminal from obtaining a gun, in fact, anyone with machinist skills can easily make a single shot illegal hand gun.....it only prevents law abiding citizens from obtaining them. your quoteb'"But if I can have the means to protect myself, then someone else can have the means to kill me"....that is correct, but at least you will be on equal footing and not at a disadvantage

  • I wish we'd had toys like this when I was growing up.

  • *Sigh*... Liberals ruined my childhood...

  • @jackanoryjames I blame video games. Why pretend you can kill people when you can do it in a video game? With realistic blood and gore even!

  • that is swell, i bought a cap pistol recently because I thought it had a double action feature but it sucked.

  • these toy where good now a days toys make kid gay

  • I can buy an ak47 in my city, but not a paintball gun. makes sense.......

  • Damn what a cool music.

  • I find it funny that if that was made now parents would have a shit fit because it looks so real.

  • @RebelFounderOdogoo I got one of these for christmas when I was a kid and I remember how heavy duty it felt and how real it looked.

  • wow who would of thought, it puts the toy guns from the 80's that i had to shame.

  • I had one of these in the 1950's. I recall the cartridge had a spring inside and the plastic bullet locked into the cartridge. The hammer hitting the cartridge would jar the bullet loose and it would be propelled by the spring. The cap was just for smoke and sound effect.

  • @Slickgoodlin you're right.....thats exactly how it worked

  • Uhm let's see... fires a projectile by means of a burning charge...

yep, that toy would be defined as firearm now.

    Sad.

  • @TheHiddenPart Nah, the cap isn't necessary. The bullets are spring-loaded inside the cartridges.

  • you can tell its mattel cuz its well 0_0

  • @branko2301 swell

  • the most authentic and the last

  • Whoa toys were so badass long time ago

  • Toy guns were a part of every boy's life.

  • you can still buy them now days................ for 250 bucks plus powder :(

  • Man, sometimes, I wished I lived back in the days of my father. I never had a cap gun when I was a kid in Brooklyn. Standards were a bit higher than they back then, compared to today. *sigh* One can dream.

  • @P3WNAGE Back then most toys for boys were gun related. I had toy machine guns, flintlock pistol, snub nose 38 pistol, etc. I'll bet I got 2 toy guns a year from the time I was like 5 years old to about 12. The toy guns were very real looking, in fact that was usually the manufacturers intent....to make it as real looking as possible

  • I WANT ONE!!!!!! :( *SOB* *SOB*

  • Now every kid walks tall with a 9mm and coaine in their ass

  • @8851045 nope, now every kid stays at home and play with fictional guns

which are basically made of a bunch of the same two numbers: 0 an 1

  • @Marcohazard Exactly

  • @8851045 thats what were redused to soccer moms made it worse they made us worse

  • that was a badass capgun.

  • why can't make toys like this today

  • @crackerbomb2 Because everything is made overseas.

  • Ahhh... I had that when I was a kid. Very cool and a load of fun. And tough. You could use the thing for a hammer. Wish I still had it. What a great time to be a kid.

  • Part of the original forethought about the 2nd Amendment Rights was to allow citizens to own guns to defend against all enemies foreign AND Domestic. Including our own government. They keep chipping away at our rights and it's so subtle we don't always see it, but make no mistake about it...it is happening before your very eyes! We're just too concerned with cell phones, iPods, porn, instant gratification and who's screwing who in hollywood. Amazing coincidence? I think not.

  • @combatvf24 i totally agree with you..... its horrible....our forefathers would call for a revolution... but with what? we have little legal guns.... slingshots will do shit to body armor....

  • @combatvf24 actually the second amendment was put in place to prevent the federal government from disarming the state militias when the Constitution replaced the Articles of Confederation and united the states after the revolutionary war.

  • @typicalviewer2 If that was the intent of the 2nd amendment why were guns not confiscated in the late 1700s or 1800s. Why did it take at least 100 years to become an issue. Had gun deaths in the USA not become so high no one would have ever questioned the actual meaning of the 2nd amendment

  • @inkey2 becasue back in the 1700's and 1800's people relied on their firearms. people hunted to feed their families, not to mention in the 1700's and 1800's there was still a frontier, and it was a dangerous place. I'm not saying you shouldn't be able to own a shotgun or a rifle for hunting. but why would you need to own a 30 round semi automatic TEC-9? it serves no legal purpose.

  • @typicalviewer2 but my point was......that if the founding fathers did not mean that the private citizen were allowed to own guns.....why did they have such a law if they were going to wait 200 years to enforce it. The point is that people should have the means to protect themself. A gun is the great equalizer......a small woman can ward off 3 intruders breaking into her house. The gun death statistics in the usa seem high untill you know that at least 40% of them are suicides

  • @inkey2 what about a big woman?.....i personally don't give a shit what the founding fathers had in mind, that was 200 years ago and things have changed. Do i think private citizens should own guns? yes. But, if i can have the means to protect myself, then someone else can have the means to kill me.

  • @typicalviewer2 I do not understand your reverse logic......you say that you believe that private citizens should be allowed to own guns.....then you end your comments with a reason why we shouldn't have them. Whats that all about?

  • @inkey2 ok,ok, i can see where my statements contradicted each other. what i meant to say was that while some firearms in the hands of responsible, law abiding citizens can provide a form of personal protection and a recreational outlet. firearms in the hands of irresponsible people can cause major social problems. a good example of this would be the Columbine High School massacare in which all of the firearms used were legally purchased.

  • @typicalviewer2 no fucking durrrrrrrrrrr

  • @ferkyou420 don't tell me not to fuck durrrrrrrrrr, i will if i want to.

  • @typicalviewer2 omg your cool haha

    =]

  • every boy? I'm sure there were girls who would have liked it to. Toys have been genderized for so long. we got to put our egos on the shelf and let the kids play with what they want to play with

  • I WANT ONE!!!!!! my dad had one and he still has it but it's broke.

  • Comment removed

  • wish i had these types of toy guns when i was a kid. had to make do with the shitty little orange colored ones

  • I had a bow and arrow set with steel pointy tips. And remember real darts. Get a garbage can lid for a shield and have a dart fight with your friends. What fun we had with dangerous toys. My friend got a gun that shot the plastic bullets and the first thing he did was shoot his mom 6 times.

  • If anyone is interested i have 2 for sale they are as close to mint as you get come with double holster and shells just awaiting new plastic tips for shells

  • Okay!, i want one!!

  • i have tha exact one nd ill sale it for 80 buht the handle is scratched

  • Well, it's so sick , insensitive, and rightfully illegal to sell violent toys like these in America! ... But your daughter can buy a Shemagh at any cool store in the mall. Part of Fatah's fall line.

  • Lol they forgot to tell how much it is

  • i wish theay would make toy guns like this today

  • or you can buy a airsoft magnum for 45$ and buy 6000 copper bbs for 10$ either way i mean airsoft magnum hurts o.o

  • reminds me of 'A Christmas Story'' lol

  • memoeries! i had the 38 revolver version when i was a kid and it was awesome - mine packed quite a punch and those plastic bullets could hurt at close range - one of my most favorite toys as a kid

  • @kezzart I had a two gun set. A .45 ACP and an M Gerand.

  • thats awesome!! too bad i was born 55 years too late : (

  • @5150gamer So, how old are you now? -10? I had one and I'm 50. You type pretty well for not having been born yet.

  • @ardvarkkkkk what ever, its still bad ass

  • danmit!!!! i was born too fuckin late!!!!!!!

  • Too cool.

  • Haha i would love to have that toygun:P:P

  • those were the days , when i had toy guns to play with . damn the pc brigade

  • I loved playing with this in the '60's: along with Vac-U- Form and my LaCucaracha slot car racer {the fastest car around with the motor rewound}and Cox controler!! Yeah boy. Real Toys!

  • wow did that toy come with a some L&m smokes? lol

  • Ringo Starr of the Beatles use to actually walk around wearing those guns, I kid you not. Back in the early `60`s he was so fanatical about cowboys he would actually go out dressed like a cowboy and have these guns in a holster. I think if you Google it you can find a picture of him like that. The guy was like 24 and he`s walking around like a kid LOL! I think they said Burt Lancaster started making fun of him and he stopped it.

  • Obama is going to arm the troops, that he is sending to the Mexican border

    with these.

  • @federalwarhawk He might as well. Those troops are not allowed to do anything and they will not be carrying live ammo. Their purpose is to give people the impression that the administration is actually doing something.

  • KICK ASS!

  • i read somewhere that the West was Not as Violent as we all think it was, more peaceful, its just Hollywood making the claims - Agree ??

  • I wish I grew up in the 60s =/

  • I still have it...

  • Yup. I had one too. GOD I loved that thing! Still have some of the little bullets for it. For some reason, why did I think it was called "Johnny Western?" God how I miss the America of the 1960s.

  • @PistolPackingPatriot Yeah America of the 60s was great ... as long as you were a white anglo-saxon male. You didn't have to eat in separate restaurants, sit on the back of the bus or be denied the right to vote like afro-americans were. You could have any career you want instead of having to be a housemaid, I mean wife Or stuck in a dead-end job with no hope for advancement earning half the pay of the opposite sex. I could go on but I won't. America is getting closer to equality, like it or not

  • @Kaalec I find it exceedingly ironic that it is precisely the "Afro-Americans" you speak of whose penchant for gun violence has resulted in laws prohibiting cool, realistic TOY guns like this in the USA. You look at the current state of affairs in the USA and call this PROGRESS??? Wow, no thanks. You are wrong, and wrong-headed.

  • @PistolPackingPatriot The America you dream of is just that – a dream. And a nightmare for too many of your fellow citizens. I do call it progress when people are no longer being lynched because of the colour of their skin. I can the colour of your skin, at least on your neck, is bright red.

  • ya i had one it was awsome i gave it to my kid and he shot his enemys eye out and we got thing we got sooded or that thing

  • i want safe shootin shells :(

  • my dad got me one at a boot sale i remember sitting in the back of my families car so i saw this police car coming up so i got my toy gun and pretended to shoot him the cop started souting and then dad came out and asked what was wrong then he had to explain the gun was a toy dont think my dad was happy

  • i wish i had that when i was a little younger. But 90's toys weren't as cool

  • I had one of these pistols when I was about 7 years old or so. Don't remember the commercial though. Life was so much simpler then. Thanks for the memories.

    ENWWN

  • Can't get much with $3 or $7 today *sigh* I have a cheap pistol from Shopright it suck made of plastic poorly sesined and not realistic like the old ones

  • @gaker3456789 The reason why is because money was very hard to come by back in the day. In the 1920s cars were around maybe $300, but that was a lot of money back then.

  • Comment removed

  • @kitty6837 I know that thank you anyway

  • Good revolver spin kid :D

  • if the toy makers of the 60s put the orange tip on toy guns then, we probably still have toy guns like that, hate those stupid orange dart shooting dollar guns, they dont even work sometimes.

  • thats so f@###$& cool!!!

  • I kinda gotta say that this is too authentic to be given to younger children.

    It's a safety thing, I'm not super left-wing and anti-guns.

"Hey daddy, I found my toy gun in your closet!"

    *BANG*

    "OH MY GOD! TIMMY!"

  • my dad bought me a gun like this. even though we didnt have much money back then, he gave me one for christmas. it was awesome. thanks pop.

  • Haha we still have these!

  • The person who was talking was my great grandfather!!!!! and has 4 of those shootin shells himself...

  • @Roblox46229 ignore what other people say cuz i actually believe u unlike all the others will

  • Had a double set when I was a kid, even had two fanner 50's that shot perforated roll caps. Recently got a fanner 50 of of e-bay that has a revolving cylinder that used perforated roll cap,s. As a plus it had the play metal cartridges rusted in the cylinder!

Nice cap gun for the money. Brings back good memories!

  • Damn liberals ruined everything

  • how many FPS that thing had

  • God I was a kid not too long ago. I envy these toys. Fuckin liberals gotta ruin toys for people.

  • I always wanted one since I was a kid and my mom would always take "violent" toys away. I'm twenty two now and just bought a cap gun tonight, broke after three hours. Thanks for banning quality toy guns, I guess I'll just have to get my license and buy a smith & wesson. You fags sure helped a lot by making them plastic with bright orange caps.

  • I had this 'Fanner Fifty' in the '50's growing up. Also had a replica Colt .45 like the guy on T.V.Still have the Colt. I was a Military Policeman and have never been arrested or ticketed in my life.

  • wow that looks awesome as fuck.

  • Friggin liberals and lawyers ruined toys for kids....

  • Dayum! That is just so full of awesome!

No way could you make and sell anything like that these days. The USA has lost so much to P. C. and sue-happy lawyers.

  • Wow this toy...is awesome now days they dont make toy guns as well as they did. The toy guns now are plastic and colorfull.. who wants that? when you can have a toy gun that shoots but it would not hurt if u got shot with it! i wish i could have this toy bad.

  • I love how it looks like he is shooting a Redcoat.... Like that was STILL a problem in the 19th century.

  • @ohhhlethal HAHA!!

  • @ohhhlethal Redcoats might come back. As might zombies.
