iPhone Basic Functions : How to Use Your iPhone Calendar

I recently updated my iPod and it doesn't seem to have the plus icon on the top right hand corner, how do I put events ? Any suggestion

I don't have a plus sign to add to the calender---any idea as to why?

@oraljanitor you have to go to settings and to iCloud then sign up, i believe its free...sign up let it load for like 2 min then go to your calendar and the plus sign should be there!
