I really like Kelli's voice for this song, but Chris still did a damn good job.
She was no longer in the band at this point. You can't expect them to NOT do one of their most well-known songs just because she's not there.
The reason we probably like her version so much more is because that's what we're used to hearing, and also this is a live show. And note that because he's sung seven songs already and look at him + he's skinny as hell, he doesn't have much energy left at this point.

Kelli is definitely the better singer then Chris, but on the other hand Kelli's new songs sucks because of the boring lyrics, and that was a gift only Chris Corner had. Short: Chris was the brain of the band, Kelli was the Sound of the band, they made the biggest mistake by putting chris on top and kick her out... her voice is just... perfect! I really hope they will recognize this fault and ask her to rejoin them so they can make greater songs then they used to make when they were divided!

I discovered the Sneaker Pimps because of IAMX instead of the other way around, so I know very little about Kelli. I have seen Spin Spin Sugar's video , and it is awesome. I am a straight female, and I would be lying if I said I didn't think Kelli very sexy. I'm also madly, hopelessly in love with Chris Corner, so I am a bit biased toward him.
And I like BOTH VERSIONS of this song, thank you very much. Not to water things down, but I'm willing to bet that a lot of the Chris haters are straight, male and are annoyed that the smokin' hot babe is gone. That's fine; if it were reversed, I would probably be annoyed, too.
But I don't feel the need to go around slinging insults at the Kelli fans, even when they do the same toward my lovely Chris XD The Internet makes it easy to say nasty things to one another. I know I won't change it much.

This is awesome! I like this song either way with either singer. Kelly was awesome but cool to hear Chris sing the songs he wrote. Both singers have amazing emotion when they get into it.

I personally think it made Sneaker Pimps better getting rid of kelli. Splinter was a bit of let down, but Bloodsport was really good. it was commercial suicide, but thats because kelli was thier commercial tool, and I think Chris made the music more sensual and individual as opposed to Kellis voice which was good, but not that noticable. i guess it's how you see sucess.
I have my own opinions on the matter, such as if you watch Kelli live, she can't come close to sounding like she does on the albums, actually quite crappy, which is a huge fault. these matters aside though, who are any of us to judge the art that is his music, since this is his music and his art. If you don't like it don't buy it. Otherwise why be negative about a subjective matter? Maybe his idea of success isn't album sales but rather his ability to express his art and himself.
Personally, I like both, but I feel as though Chris has a more personal relationship with the music, as he wrote the lyrics, and composed it all.
Unfortunately he comes off as an ass in some of his interviews..
That aside, just take it for what it is, enjoy what has been - savor it. There will always be new artists, and great music to enjoy. The people crying over who is singing need to realize it's not about you. Stop making it personal.

Keli wasn't right for Sneaker Pimps at all. Chris Corner's voice fits the mood of the song and performance much better. Where is Keli now? Chris is thriving with IAMX which is overwhelmingly amazing.
The argument isn't necessarily that Kelli was was "soo much better" then the rest of the group, it's that they ALL added up together to make something spectacular. BOTH artists popularity has fizzled since they fired her.

From what I've read in a few places, the firing of Kelli was handled pretty badly by Chris, basically told her she brought nothing to the table (except money and popularity!) and to GTFO "his" band.
It's a shame, really. They could have even shared vocalist duties, but nope, Chris wasn't into the whole "sharing" thing...it says a lot about him as a person.
This is why Sneaker Pimps fell apart. They forgot what they tried to do with Splinter and went back to backing tracks and boring performances. Whatever you think of SP4 the 2003 shows were even worse. If they'd just got the four on stage - Joe Chris David Liam - attemptng to do it live, they'd have such better chemistry

I really like Kelli's voice for this song, but Chris still did a damn good job.
She was no longer in the band at this point. You can't expect them to NOT do one of their most well-known songs just because she's not there.
The reason we probably like her version so much more is because that's what we're used to hearing, and also this is a live show. And note that because he's sung seven songs already and look at him + he's skinny as hell, he doesn't have much energy left at this point.

Kelli is definitely the better singer then Chris, but on the other hand Kelli's new songs sucks because of the boring lyrics, and that was a gift only Chris Corner had. Short: Chris was the brain of the band, Kelli was the Sound of the band, they made the biggest mistake by putting chris on top and kick her out... her voice is just... perfect! I really hope they will recognize this fault and ask her to rejoin them so they can make greater songs then they used to make when they were divided!

I discovered the Sneaker Pimps because of IAMX instead of the other way around, so I know very little about Kelli. I have seen Spin Spin Sugar's video , and it is awesome. I am a straight female, and I would be lying if I said I didn't think Kelli very sexy. I'm also madly, hopelessly in love with Chris Corner, so I am a bit biased toward him.

And I like BOTH VERSIONS of this song, thank you very much. Not to water things down, but I'm willing to bet that a lot of the Chris haters are straight, male and are annoyed that the smokin' hot babe is gone. That's fine; if it were reversed, I would probably be annoyed, too.
But I don't feel the need to go around slinging insults at the Kelli fans, even when they do the same toward my lovely Chris XD The Internet makes it easy to say nasty things to one another. I know I won't change it much.

I miss Kelli but all you all got to admit this is awesome. I admire the passion, tone, personality. I am partial to female singers but there is no loss, perhaps an improvement in this performance. I give it a Hells Yeah!

I think that a slight problem with festivals is that a part of the audience always streams in rather by coincidence, not knowing what they're in for, unable to -fully- appreciate the output. :-/

this dude is cool.. and i love his voice, but MOP, i don't think he should be singing the songs that kelli sang while she was with the S. Pimps. It almost sounds like he's doing a cover of the song lol. Just my opinion though. Still love the S.Pimps though! Sick is one of my fav tracks!

I personally think it made Sneaker Pimps better getting rid of kelli. Splinter was a bit of let down, but Bloodsport was really good. it was commercial suicide, but thats because kelli was thier commercial tool, and I think Chris made the music more sensual and individual as opposed to Kellis voice which was good, but not that noticable. i guess it's how you see sucess.

I have my own opinions on the matter, such as if you watch Kelli live, she can't come close to sounding like she does on the albums, actually quite crappy, which is a huge fault. these matters aside though, who are any of us to judge the art that is his music, since this is his music and his art. If you don't like it don't buy it. Otherwise why be negative about a subjective matter? Maybe his idea of success isn't album sales but rather his ability to express his art and himself.

Personally, I like both, but I feel as though Chris has a more personal relationship with the music, as he wrote the lyrics, and composed it all.
Unfortunately he comes off as an ass in some of his interviews..
That aside, just take it for what it is, enjoy what has been - savor it. There will always be new artists, and great music to enjoy. The people crying over who is singing need to realize it's not about you. Stop making it personal.

As previously stated, an ego can really hold a person back. And i would say that these idiots have hardly forged ahead since losing kelli. these guys suck without kelli. She really knew how to bring the songs to life. These dicks should have had the foresight to see it not just about the music, but the performance also and how the songs are delivered. An ego is a funny thing!!! they should swallow their pride and give her a call, then redo some of there songs with her singing. Keli wasn't right for Sneaker Pimps at all. Chris Corner's voice fits the mood of the song and performance much better. Where is Keli now? Chris is thriving with IAMX which is overwhelmingly amazing.

The argument isn't necessarily that Kelli was was "soo much better" then the rest of the group, it's that they ALL added up together to make something spectacular. BOTH artists popularity has fizzled since they fired her.
Here's what I think went down: Kelli starts to become really popular, Chris fires her because HE wants to be the star, Sneaker Pimps goes down the shitter, but Chris is too proud to admit that he was wrong in firing Kelli. Hilarity ensues...

The other members of Sneaker Pimps got threatened by her popularity, so they fired her after the first album. Guess they figured it was better to be mediocre then have to share the spotlight...

I wont say that the guy singing now is bad but I dont believe he sounds as good as Kelli. However, in my opinion, I think they did fuck up by letting her go. It would probably be amazing if they team up again... But hey...

lighthammer: I would love to see them reunite, too, but I think it'll be a cold day in hell before that happens. From what I've read in a few places, the firing of Kelli was handled pretty badly by Chris, basically told her she brought nothing to the table (except money and popularity!) and to GTFO "his" band.
It's a shame, really. They could have even shared vocalist duties, but nope, Chris wasn't into the whole "sharing" thing...it says a lot about him as a person.

This is why Sneaker Pimps fell apart. They forgot what they tried to do with Splinter and went back to backing tracks and boring performances. Whatever you think of SP4 the 2003 shows were even worse. If they'd just got the four on stage - Joe Chris David Liam - attemptng to do it live, they'd have such better chemistry
