A fast way of getting rid of your bounty is to be in the theives guild. When your in the theives guild you can go to creeva in bravil after you have become a shadow foot. Its been a while since I played but as soon as you join I think there is an argonian in leyawin.
If you go to screeva or the beggining person (maybe christophe) you only pay HALF the bounty and you dont lose stolen item :) hope this helps

@SGTMendez69 did the same thing on the whodunnit quest, rounded up all the food and placed a basket of poisoned apples on the table, and 1 on each of the npcs sat down at the dinner table and watched 3 out of the 5 charcters die then convinced bith of them it was other person. XD
Here's a huge glitch/bug I discovered. I waited until he went to bed and then tried to pickpocket him. It failed and he got up shouting "Pickpocket! Thief!" and all that. I cast Spectral Form while in stealth mode.
Here's the funny part. All the guards then got up and started to attack him! ALL of them. I just sat there and watched in shock as they killed him. I got credit for finishing that part of the quest and only had a small bounty for pickpocketing.
@UnluckyTurtle if you heard, it says that the arrow cant penetrate armour, so you have to catch him without armour to then kill him with the sithis arrow
I did the Thieves guild before doing the Dark Brotherhood. I like wearing Nocturnal's Cowl when commiting any crimes so I can have a good side and a bad side.

hrm... I agree on making the game too winnable takes the fun out of it, but man, modding oblivion can really improve the experience-- especially getting rid of the min/maxing in leveling.

Try searching around the area where you think the arrow might have landed. I missed him once (-_-;) and just walked into the pond with him and got it back so i could line up another shot.

Yes, the arrow is optional, its a nice one shot kill but you don't have to do it that way, I hacked him all to Sh*t once with Goldbrand...its was quite fun..

When I started the game I've disabled Adamus Phillida. Now I can't see him with his bodyguard in the quest. How do I put him on the game again? Tried to use the console command ENABLE but it was useless.
How was the drawer already open? On my game it had an average lock on it. Also, where's a good place to get lockpicks? I only have 2 left and I always have to save before I lockpick so if I break one I can reload...it really gets annoying.
You can buy lockpicks from the fences of the thieves guild, you can find them from crates and boxes too but that's just normal info, can't help you any better..
What a stupid legal system...you just killed a high ranking officer but if you have the money to pay them off they don't care...I bet if you had been the one to kill the emperor and paid them off after wards, you'd be on your merry way.
Well, I was behind the houses on the left, when I killed him. Then I went to the city and waited about an hour. And then I came back to the body and there was no guards anymore :p
I found that the easiest way was to shoot him off from the right, where the rocks are. If you shoot him while he's in the middle of the lake, his bodygaurd doesn't notice right away (takes about 8 seconds to notice O.O). So you have time to just go to the body, fast travel before the guard notices, and you escape with no bounty :D

For the record, you might as well just hack him to pieces, there's no point using the arrow.
The Quest description is very discrete about the fact that YOU DON'T HAVE TO USE THA RROW TO GET THE BONUS. Blow his face of with a good spell or just break his neck with a hammer and you'll still get the reward (night mother's blessing, i think).

Well, when you've got 100% chameleon, it's really fun to do anything you want for a little while, but it gets boring later, since no one can touch you. It's not really that fun to play a game in which you're completely invisible. Even you yourself can't see your character in 3rd person view.

i really got lucky on this quest and wasn't caught at all. at the site were he goes swimming i was hiding in the grass to the right of the water, i shot him and the guard just walked away like nothing happened :D
Thanks. I like to play games as they are meant to be; with no cheats, no mods, etc. I also try to play games without any walkthrough, but I've gotta admit, some games literally force you to :p
Not completely fair to lump mods in with cheats though...a lot of mods add rather than detract from a game. For example, mods can add quests to the storyline after the main one has ended..fix bugs, add items that are in balance to the rest of the game etc
don't know why but for some reason he won't show up at the lake between 3 and 8pm i killed his body guard now after aiting around for a couple days (3-6)

Easiest way to finish that quest is great the grey fox cowl kill what's his face on sight while wearing the cowl then when he's dead and you got his finger take off the cowl and guards will still attack you but press block+action button infront of attacking guard and bam no prison no money lost just a simpe kill

What I do is climb onto the rooftop via the canopy on the right of the pool, use a invisibility spell, run away (no bounty coz no one saw me) then come back later to collect the finger and keys, and when I go into the guys office when there's a legion guy there he doesn't arrest me or anything, which he should (glitch I think) that's my favourite quest
Or, get a sigil stone from an Oblivion gate that has a Chameleon effect, duplicate them and enchant enough items of clothing with them. That's how I did it.

if you bite somebody who is asleep and drink his blood, then the next day you don't get sun damage. an easy way is to bite beggars/homeless people when they sleep at their bedrolls
Just explore, or ask various people around the different cities by selecting the option "Rumours." They may mention something about Deadric Worshippers, and a map marker will be added. Or, you can just explore the the whole game area, it's very likely you will come across atleast 1 Deadric Shrine.
What I did was break into his house, and when adamaus and his guards got mad at me, I jumped up on the rafters, and for some reason the two other guards executed adamus phillada.
the armor is in the amelion tomb go to a settlement close to leyawin and you will see a girl with the last name amelion. she has a fine of 100 gold to pay. she will ask you to go to her fathers tomb and get his armor and sword. get it and bring it back to her. pay her the 100 gold and you keep the armor.
this game is sooo long, im tryin to complete all side quests b4 the story line.. i got to lvl 40 and my plystation hardrive corrupted so all all memory got erased.. i was lvl 100 on nearly all stats includin illusion, conjurin, alteration, sneakin, and with 99 sword .. almost cried.. lol. started agen like last month now im lvl 26 wid 100 sneak, acrobatics, conjurin, an more.... found out how to duplicate all items except quest 1s.. tht makes me rich!! unfortunately dont have cam..

what you do is you put chamelion on your armour until it reaches about 100 or higher you shoot him with the bow and no one will notice at all.

you kill a civilian and you get about 1000 worth of bounty.

i really got lucky on this quest and wasn't caught at all. at the site were he goes swimming i was hiding in the grass to the right of the water, i shot him and the guard just walked away like nothing happened :D

Thanks. I like to play games as they are meant to be; with no cheats, no mods, etc. I also try to play games without any walkthrough, but I've gotta admit, some games literally force you to :p

except that i use cheats but only after i've beaten the game without them.
i'll use mods, but just the ones for places and aweapons and armour. no game winning mods those are gay..

Not completely fair to lump mods in with cheats though...a lot of mods add rather than detract from a game. For example, mods can add quests to the storyline after the main one has ended..fix bugs, add items that are in balance to the rest of the game etc

don't know why but for some reason he won't show up at the lake between 3 and 8pm i killed his body guard now after aiting around for a couple days (3-6)

loaded up the file from before i klled his guard.
Been into the barracks many times to check (as the marker tells me to go there), nothig, it even let me waste a strong invisibility potion, please help me so i can advance the brotherhood story plot

That armor isn't a mod. You can get it through a Fighters Guild mission. It looks like ebony but silver.

Easiest way to finish that quest is great the grey fox cowl kill what's his face on sight while wearing the cowl then when he's dead and you got his finger take off the cowl and guards will still attack you but press block+action button infront of attacking guard and bam no prison no money lost just a simpe kill

You can get it, but you got to do a quest for it. It's the one where you got to go through a cave to get the Eye of Nocturnal.

Guys i got this glitch when i killed him and waited a 1 hour for the guard to go(because i was close to the guard when i killed him, though the guard did not attack me untill i went close to him) even though i killed him it did not say i killed him and i can't complete the quest, any ideas?

What I do is climb onto the rooftop via the canopy on the right of the pool, use a invisibility spell, run away (no bounty coz no one saw me) then come back later to collect the finger and keys, and when I go into the guys office when there's a legion guy there he doesn't arrest me or anything, which he should (glitch I think) that's my favourite quest

Or, get a sigil stone from an Oblivion gate that has a Chameleon effect, duplicate them and enchant enough items of clothing with them. That's how I did it.

if you bite somebody who is asleep and drink his blood, then the next day you don't get sun damage. an easy way is to bite beggars/homeless people when they sleep at their bedrolls

Why bother picking locks? Just get the Skeleton Key from one of the Deadric Princes and click auto-pick. No picks break.

Just explore, or ask various people around the different cities by selecting the option "Rumours." They may mention something about Deadric Worshippers, and a map marker will be added. Or, you can just explore the the whole game area, it's very likely you will come across atleast 1 Deadric Shrine.

the armor is in the amelion tomb go to a settlement close to leyawin and you will see a girl with the last name amelion. she has a fine of 100 gold to pay. she will ask you to go to her fathers tomb and get his armor and sword. get it and bring it back to her. pay her the 100 gold and you keep the armor.

this game is sooo long, im tryin to complete all side quests b4 the story line.. i got to lvl 40 and my plystation hardrive corrupted so all all memory got erased.. i was lvl 100 on nearly all stats includin illusion, conjurin, alteration, sneakin, and with 99 sword .. almost cried.. lol. started agen like last month now im lvl 26 wid 100 sneak, acrobatics, conjurin, an more.... found out how to duplicate all items except quest 1s.. tht makes me rich!! unfortunately dont have cam..
