This song in a vacuum is okay, the problem is that you inevitably have to compare it to the entire Metallica catalog. It doesn't really stand up, it would be like a good Metal Church song and that's not memorable. I think the criticisms of St Anger are pretty justified but this song could possible be rated a 6/10

Great song from a great album. I thought it was ok when I heard it. Then I watched the DVD that came with it and then I went to see them at the Summer Sanitarium Tour after it came out and heard a couple of these songs live. I loved it. They are in my opinion the G.O.A.T.

@aridchimp Yeah, you're right. When it first came out, I was heavily disappointed. But now, years later, I keep finding myself popping it into my car stereo. I kinda feel the need to hear it again. Not just one song, but the whole thing too. And so now I think it fits right into their discography as one of their better records, much more so than (re)load, which I find boring (with the exception of a few songs maybe).

I'm a really big Metallica fan, and at first, I fucking HATED this album. Then I watched the Some kind of Monster DVD, and oh man have I changed my mind. I didn't realize until I listened to the whole album that I have problems similar to a lot of the songs on this album. Listening to it gives me comfort, telling me that there are people like me who do suffer, and you can overcome it. I love Metallica, and nothing less than that.
