North5880, thier album in 87 only yielded this and Ill =Return..I thought 7, Something's Going On, & What Did I Do Wrong should have been singles and videos.
I'm not sure about that one Azone01! I can recall that they did a lot of television around that period promoting that particular track. There are other TV appearances of them playing that song floating around the internet...
"Never Give Up On You" is a great track from the Children Of The Light lp! If it wasn't for youtube and you, I would never been able to appreciate 52nd Street like that!!
This looks like it was taped from the short-lived UK series "Solid Soul" 1987. I will never forget their performance. I love this song and it's sound effects!
I asked that a year ago and after checking, they never appeared on US Soul Train, but they have been on the UK Soul Train. In fact, I don't think they made any American apearances, except maybe Video Soul/Video LP...someone clue me in on that?
Memories by the score and the lead singer was naturally pretty. Bring back SOLID SOUL....

This 1987 music from 52nd Street is just as good as their 1986 album that had Tell Me How it Feels. I like their R&B funk sound on this song.
