I would like a Good demo of the Boss Bf- 3 flanger pedal, souds pretty good but i havent seen a good demo that shows up the joucy of the pedal.. so i would like to se a good demo speciale with distortion and a solo hehe take care
I don't know why anyone would ever both buying Eddie's pedal I mean they are great, but i think there better ones, and if you ever want to emulate eddie's tone he hardly ever used any pedals, all the tone/sound he got came from the guitar, no pedals apart from in a couple of songs obviously
mxr phase 90 reverb flanger good amp nice vid tho!!! check out our EVH frankie replica me and my wife built plz comment and rate we have 3 vids so far thx!!!!
Amps ? Are you running in stereo? That can result in a drop but any non-true bypass can drop volumes and the more you use together the more loss of tone. In addition 9volt convetors can do battle with each other. If you have several pedals try a voodoo lab pedal power and expierement with the pedal order as well.
You are absolutely right...he used an unmodified original for all the stuff on the classic records and live shows.Eddie set all the knobs at 12:00-this is because there were no presets in those days...he revealed this in an interview with Dweezil Zappa in the early '90s...he used the same settings on the flanger for ALL the songs using the flanger-not just "Unchained"...also "Atomic Punk",the electric piano on "And The Cradle Will Rock",and everything else...why not use what he used-the original
I own a Boss SE-70 Pro multi effectprocessor and all the effects are fantastic. I heard that these processors are becomming collector items and i understand why. The flange and other effects are just perfect. The distortion is analog and i just very content with it...just needed to tell you this because this MXR flanger sound much like the one in the SE 70 Pro.
You gotta keep practising the pinching....remember that when doing the pinch...you need to hold your Pick right....the tip of your pick has to be closer to you thumb's fleshy area...than as you initiate the pinch you have to pluck the string and touch the strings with the tip of your thumb at the same time....there is a video on youtube that shows you how to do the pinch correctly...but i can't remeber the title...try typing pinch harmonics and you might get something
well with pinch harmonics, they change depending on where you pick it on the string. To get the harmonic to scream, get your thumb of your picking hand right down to the bottom of the pick. So when you pick the string, your thumb follows and nicking the string to create a clear harmonic. It takes practice on how to do it and knowing where to pick it.
I love analog but I got a friend who likes areally space age like digital sound and he does amazing things with it so thats not always a bad thing I love my MXR EVH flanger
When you are showing us the EVH "Unchained" effects, you should play some other stuff. You mostly played the same thing over again...but anyways this is my favorite video of yours, and it was one of the first that I watched before considering playing guitar. I GOT A FENDER! lol
I love MXR stuff, I have the Flanger, Phaser, and MXR Distortion III. THe thing I don't like about other pedals is that the knobs are loose and can move when you don't want them too. MXR's knobs are heavy duty.
If you mean the AC plug its probably the ground, in which case you should get it fixed. If you ground yourself you can get a shock from the guitar strings (at least that happened to me a long time ago, I sat on the heater grate while damp (shower) and the strings shocked me because the amp wasn't grounded.
Haha I know what you mean by cheap, digital sounding flangers. I recently got a digitech turbo flange peice for of pizza (the kid was hungry!). I think I definititely got the better end of the deal, but the flange is extremely cheezy and overdone.
it's true but they do not have numbers for the flanger, delay, phaser, tremelo, tape echo, and sweep echo so it's hard to tell how much you want on those knobs
what would kind of single coil pickup would you reccomend for a punk rock/pop punk kinda sound, i know you do more classic stuff, but if you have any suggestions i appriciate them.
You can visit different websites like EMG or Seymour Duncan, they have sound samples of every pickup.. so you can take a look there and listen, for punk rock/pop you dont need too much.
I tell you what man,,if I could play as well as you David, I would never leave the house, I would have a beard that touches my knees, hair to my butt, and would be skiny as a rail because I'd never put the guitar down to shave get a hair cut or eat,,, lol.. great product review.
