My wife had this procedure, it changed her life. But be careful the doctors will try and run the bill up. It's an hour surgery at the most, and I ended up being over 70,000 bill to our insurance company. It's a good service they're performing but by the way they are advertising even in the comments leads me to believe they are making a ton of money from this.
Thank you for the information. I have 3 fibroid growths and very heavy periods. I get bad cramping as well. I will look into this more in my area. If I call your number, will you be able to direct me to a Dr. in the Sarasota, FL area who specializes in this procedure as well?
I had this procedure done in VA in Sept of 2010. I would recommend this to any woman. The procedure was pretty simple. All of my previous problems are completely gone. (I was anemic, potassium deficient, and had terrible menstrual complications.) The procedure fixed all of that! I was back on my feet a couple of days after the procedure. I had 5 tumors. Definitely check into this!
Thank you, this video was very informative. I am to have this procedure soon and the fact that I can actually see what will be done to me has eased some of my anxiety. I have my MRI scheduled and after my doctor reviews this, we will set the date for this procedure. I'm glad to have this procedure which is a lot less evasive than the hysteroscopy/laproroscopy I had years ago.
Hi Guys. My name is Ana and am living in sweden am 28 years old. I have 3cm x 1,6 mm myomectomy on the back of my uterine. My biggest consider is that am not gonna be able to have children soon...Im living in Sweden, here in sweden Im not gonna get any help because doctorns dont deal with "young" patc. like me, they say am to young to do ANYTHING ... my myomectomy on the back of my uterine as I said before and is half in and half out of uterine...Is there any help for me...please/yours ANNA
Yes, there is definitely options for you. We strongly encourage you to call our offices at 866-362-6463 so that you may have the opportunity to receive a FREE consultation with Dr. McLucas and better understand what alternatives you have to treat your fibroids.
After having an ultrsound done i was told i have 3 utrine fibroids, one seems to be alot larger then the others.. Can you tell on the ultrasound, can you actually see if they are inside the walls of the uterus, or the outside?...I do not have meducal insurance, so this seems to be a better way to deal with these fibroids... My pap smear came out fine.....i was informed it makes a differance wether they are ouside or on the inside....for this procedure?
@kodiacwolf yes, an ultrasound is one method that your doctor may look to in order to check for uterine fibroids. Additionally, your doctor may choose to do an MRI. In this procedure, magnets and radio waves are used to create excellent images of the uterus. However, not all doctors agree with using MRI as it is a much more expensive procedure than other forms of testing. If you have additionaly questions, please call 866-362-6463. Thanks
Hello, l've been reading up on ufe - l have questions. Most info l've read speaks on if you have submucosal fibroids the ufe treatment isn't as effective due to the location. Also most do not consider ufe a viable option if you desire to preserve your fertility. Is any of this true? I'd like to know what're the tangible minimally invasive options are out there for a 40yr old who's been diagnosed w/fibroids (though symptomatic since 18yrs) in '04 who doesn't have children but personal health &
@omooyaobatala UFE is effective and non-invasive, which is why many women prefer this method of fibroid treatment. At any rate, there aren't any guarantees as it pertains to your fertility. There are many women who have had UAE and have had successful pregnancies after the treatment. At the same time, some women experience premenopausal symptoms after under going the procedure. Also, at this point, more research is needed to thoroughly demonstrate the impact that UAE may have on fertility.
@Jodebbie1 Yes, please give our office a call at 866-362-6463 and we can set you up with a phone consultation with Dr. Bruce McLucas. We would love to help you better understand fibroids and the options that you have to treat them.
@IrinaNOLA One benefit of this procedure is that it is done under local anesthesia, so you dont have to worry about "going under". Additionally, in terms of out-of-picket- costs, the prices can often range depending on each patients individual health situation, as well as whether or not they have insurance. To find out more, please feel free to contact us directly by calling 866-362-64633 . You may contact the office to request a free consultation.
