  • like make it a smooth motion that continues throw the throw as the arm begins to swing forwards, have forearm move either slowly up (if not try down)

this should give some extra umff(as long as u have heavily geared servos to prevent breaking)

  • As I mentioned in the info box, it was just a crude hack throw. I in know way put effort into optimizing it - and in fact it just worked my first try so it was good enough. This was just a test to show it was possible, where in the long term I plan to use AI to optimize the throw.

  • to add more distance to the throw i would put a final motion of the forearm flicking or moving upward at the point of seperation of ball and end effector

  • Fantastic robot, I never got my $50 Micro controller working :( , I was wondering if you had like a Axon Lite that costs like 20-40 dollars with less features instead of the $120 axon?

  • The Axon is now $100.

  • So is it all automated?

  • yes

  • u should make a sensor so it would chase the ball and then give it back

  • Well the plan is to use the camera to track the ball.

  • I'm a little surprised the head/eye don't track the ball the way it does in the color blog visual tracking video. I guess that would just make it more difficult to coordinate the hand to what it's seeing.

  • Its not actually tracking anything yet. Having issues with the camera lately . . .

  • I wonder if it would chase the ball if you threw it.

  • Thats my long term plan!

  • great! i'll be waiting in line day 1

  • very nice,

  • haha cool :D
