  • where is part 2?

  • it kind funny how everyone says USA so good yet there the ones who started the Prewar Period with 1854 and 1855 Treaties with the USA.

  • With this, they sewed the seeds of the Atomic Bomb blasting their asses to the glory of humiliation and defeat.

And today, China I guarantee has not forgotten this, which they are now the awaken giant.

  • Japan during this period was "empire-building" copying what "western nations" were doing. However, even after defeating Russia, Japan was not really accepted. Part of the reason probably had to do with racism. America, England etc..were allowed to have colonies and invade other areas but Japan was not? (Not trying to defend Japan, just pointing out the hypocrisy). Anyhow, with the conquest of Manchuria, the West decided to put an embargo on all natural resources especially oil to Japan.

  • I am japanese stop hating..........we just that pretty

  • The Brits are surely misinformed or just simply don't want to recognise Manchuria as part of China, under the warlord Zhang Xueliang.

  • ofcourse the chinese wouidnt have a chance against japan before because they were weakand poor and didnt want to have to do anything with war at that time but now they are the becoming the richest country and have the biggest army now but they couid deafet japan but not all of china has been invaded by japan like the outskirts of hong kong canton china is bigger than japan and the culture of asian comes from chinese

  • @kokulink plus the nickname of china is katan or katai and the word sword comes from katana that comes from the nickname

  • what do the katans have to do with japs! china did nothing nothing! well they win

  • I thought this was darkwing duck?

  • Japanese soldiers sexual options were respected (many militaries were openly homosexuals) and many homosexuals killed many American soldiers because they refused have affairs with their captors. Sorry if looks prejudice, nothing against sexual orientation, a lot against harassment.

  • This may sound sick but I must say that I am in awe by the masculine nature of the old militaristic culture of Japan.

  • Japanese soldiers were probably the toughest sons of bitches in WW2. Too bad they crap equipment and shitty tactics.

  • @maddingo12

    Yes. Too bad for them.

  • The japans soldiers whas 1 of the bravest soldier they running straight into the eye of hell whit bullets firingen over them

  • chido el video !! dont hate !!!

  • Japan is now one of the USA's best friends among countries. In the 50's and 60's the Japanese emulated US lifestyle in a very excited way (Levi's, Coca-Cola, etc). It is very hard for us westerners to understand how the people that we see as polite and gentle could have committed such horrible atrocities just 60 years ago. Older American Veterans can still tell horror stories of WW2 Japan. China, Korea and Phillippines still do not trust Japan, for pretty good reason. It's an enigma...

  • look, whatever Japan done in the past, they are still humans: the new generation is guiltless and they deserve livingspace. They are a magnificent and intellegent people who have a lot to offer and the rest of the world (especially China) has a lot to learn from them. Don't be too harsh on the Japanese please. Condemn their crimes but they deserve living space too.

  • This is coming from a very hardline Chinese Nationalist.

  • @EmperorTiger: I agree with you. Even though I live in America, I don't have the typical American perspective of the world, I grew up in Austria. America was founded in the name of imperialism, and even had "Manifest Destiny" which reminds me of "Lebensraum". Americans are good people though, its just the few rednecks who spoil it for the rest of them.

  • Down with racist, imperialist Japan!

  • japan rules :D

  • we took care of them suckas

  • The damn Japs are reckless.

  • It was China that did it for you mate, not you.

  • ?????

  • @CocodriloNYC

    Thank God for that.

  • I had 6 uncles serve in WW2, 5 in the Pacific. 4 were seriously wounded, 2 partially disabled for life. I remember when I was a little kid in the 50's and 60's hearing the "war stories", mostly when the old guys were drinking. They hated the Japanese, and with quite apparently good reason. Even though we are friends with the Japanese now, I could never fully trust a Jap for as long as I live knowing what they did to the Chinese, Phillipinos and US and British P.O.W.'s...

  • Well, I would blame the Right-Wing Politicians for my ancestor's death and torment...

  • Can you see how the Iraqi children will probably think of US?

  • oh you americans are SO innocent, aren´t you?

you didn´t enslave millions of africans, you didn´t steal native americans land and butcher them by the millions. you didn´t burn millions of vietnamese to death. starve iraqui children...shall i go on?

  • shhh

  • Hey loser white boy who wishes he was Japanese, America is not innocent from bloodshed. Who denies it? But every country is guilty of such crimes, including Japan and Germany.

  • thats´s all i´m saying internet tough guy. now go have another wank in your moms garage. i was answering to the racist comment by randy109.

  • Especially Japan. Do u know about the brutal killing in Nanjing?

  • No one has ever wanted to be asian, never, not a single time in the history of the human race.

I wouldn't wish being asian on my worst enemy.

  • @hammer231984

    . . . . . okay . . ?

  • Actually, no. The Africans were enslaved by Africans and sold to traders. Native Americans land was usually purchased, as from the Iroquois. Use of cluster bombs in North Vietnam was resorted to minimize damage to flood control dykes, despite NVA practice of putting air defense weapons on the dykes. US embargo of Iraq never included medicine or food, but starvation was created by Iraqi government.

  • native americans were captured by christoper columbus trough 1451-1506 he had taken the indians took as slaves tade and killed them he wasnt american he was an italion jew plus burning vietnimese thats war you have to accept the fact that you gotta do what you gotta do irawui thats misunderstanding to starve them was to draw attention for stratagie

  • its "Filipinos"... well, thanks for your empathy for the victims... the world has changed now

  • As they said at the beginning, it was the military power getting too big for its boots.

  • 8:02 whats the name of that song? i like it

  • Notice the common denominator...appeasement or neglect leads to further aggression......Hitler's confidence stemmed on apeasement as well...

  • My girlfriend is half Japanese and half hawaiian.... funny how that 60 years ago my grandfather was trying to kill japanese and now here I'm about to marry one....

  • Excellent stuff !

  • japan has a thing for quality, everything they make or do is not quantity its all about quality, millitary units, cars, electronics. This is something really powerful they have over many countries.

  • The Japanese already had the huge land mass of Manchuria, they had no reason to invade China and commit all those atrocities against the Chinese.

  • You think Manchuria is small? the Manchurian territory under the Japanese was HUGE. Manchuria had alot of natural resources and best of all it was barely populated at the time, so the Japanese could have set up colonies there.

Invading China was just a sign of getting too greedy. Germany made the same mistake by invading the Soviet Union, when Germany already occupied most of Europe. Sometimes people just get too greedy, then don't know when to call it quits.

  • they killed like 6 million chinese what goes around comes around ie hiroshima and nagasaki

  • that's what most of those damn pacifists never get

  • @zinkcoo

It was not because of the need of land or territory, its about resources.

  • Awesome! Thanks for posting this excellent video.

  • And hits keep coming!

    Thx for putting these up!
