    For a start, the S2000 is either modded, or the 350z has been poorly modded and is losing power. The 03-06 350Z always beats a STOCK s2000. an 07-09 350z destroys an 03-06 350z, so it would absolutely rape any S2000.

    I'm not sure if hondata does the flash anymore, but I would go with flashpro instead by hondata.  You'll have to get tuned but in the long run it will benefit you more.

  • @dicktp That's because this is one of only a couple vids where the Honda wins. Every other one shows them lose, not by much, but lose nonetheless. At higher speeds they just can't compete with 300+ hp.

    its obviously they cant compete with 300hp at speeds over 180 km cause its a tiny 2 litre engine after all :)

  • @dicktp A well driven older Z will be about even with an S2000 in the 1/4, or possibly faster by a tenth or 2. An HR Z is a whole another story, and while it's traction limited to the end of second, third and fourth gears it's gone. Some of the best trap times for a stock HR is low 13's at 107-108mph. The Honda can't match that, but it is a crisper handler.

  • I'm sorry, I'm generally passive when it comes to running people, but this guy insisted. Also, since this video, I have boosted the s2k, so really there isn't a reason to compare myself to a NA 350z. This was just something that happened while I was on vacation in Florida.

  • I see a lot of videos with S2K pulling good distances on modded 350z's but I have never seen on do it in real life, especiialy HR's. When my 370z was stock I beat quite a few heavily modded NA S2K's no problem and ever since I have put foll bolt ons on it. I used to own a pretty heavily modded (more than my 370z) RSX S and I always thought it was fast until I got my 370z. That might be the same reason why S2K owners always want to race. I dont try and race C6 'Vettes evertime I see one.

    Hey bro, if your running a AP1, then they don't make a reflash for you. Only the 06+ models have reflashable ecus. So you would have to go with an ems. You could try and find a kpro setup for yourself, aem v1 or v2 ems, or even a haltech setup. Even so hondata has stopped dooing reflashes because of the release of the flashpro. There are plenty of options for you with an ap1.

  • I honestly don't believe the 350z is that much quicker in the sense of quarter mile..... I was running 14.0-.1 in the quarter stock.... And 06 down 350's are very comparable. Not saying that the s2 is quicker or slower but the weight advantage is noticable, and clearly in this vid this 350 is not quicker even with his quick 3rd honk that I didn't expect

  • @SloAP2 nah my dude, 06 has 300hp if its a manual. HRZ's will do a 13.1 with 305bhp which means an 06 has to do atleast 13.5.

  • @hoodyman88 Not sure what your "nah" is about or why your quoting hp numbers. Your boy seems to be one of the better drivers out there, cause most your average guys are not seeing that time either due to driving skill or elevation.

  • Both cars are nice but in different catagories, don't even know why ppl compare them. V6 vs i4 it is pretty sad that the Z can't take the advantage. The Z needs to lose weight. I own an ap1, it is an awesome car but needs more low end torque. Props to both cars tho!

  • no I only had the reflash and exhaust. I got rid of my buddy club header that I was using prior to this video.

  • Probably because it's a waste of money...

    Aftermarket headers rarely do anything for the S2000. If they do, it'll be negligible and come at a huge price premium.

  • i went ahead and bought a megan racing header. I couldnt justify putting out the coin it takes to get a really good jdm header, but from what s2ki has stated the megan is promising for being so inexpensive because it has the same primary sizing and collector sizing as J's but a very similar design to stock bend wise. I got them on the other day but havent had a chance to drive the car by myself because of these bullshit snow and ice storms weve been having.

  • I think you're right because the S2K already comes fine tuned. The best you could probably do is delete the cat and get a test pipe. Then a CAI.

    Kpro would then really put it into play.

  • My s2k already had skunk2 70mm exhaust, skunk2 70mm test pipe, injen intake, and an 03 ecu swap before the new header. I was just adding a header to complete the setup now i need a decent tune to capitalize on my mods. So far with what i have im happy and the car is definitely faster. I made sure to research the shit out of my mods on s2ki before i bought anything and everything i have has been proven by many owners to work. The megan header was worth it and the car is pulling strong as ever :)

  • Wow hopefully one day I could get the S2K I've been planning on. Then I'm for sure going to sign up for S2Ki.

    Anyway, either the Z driver couldn't drive or the Hondata reflash make a big difference, because an S shouldn't pull on the Z in the higher gears.

  • Damn right dude I have a 08 350z I raced a 07 s2k and beat him by a car in the lower gears he jumped ahead by half a car in 1st but around mid 2nd and 3rd gear i was atleast a car length ahead. Peace

  • That's just a stock 06. Y pipes would make it sound a lot louder than that. Also the 07 block will not mate up to 06 heads.

  • Running an 07 block would require a raised hood. It has the lights of the 06+, but the hood of an 06, which makes me think it's just an 06. However, the 06 does have an engine with increased redline compared to the 03-05 models (the VQ35DE Rev-up).

    This was probably a 2006 Z.
