Just a reminder parents...Please know who your children are taking to online. This is not something made up. I know we are all busy, but it is all about keeping our children safe. There are true dangers that you have to pay attention to.
@utinker Dude your fucking stupid, How in the hell do you expect people to know who they're kids are *Talking to??? really though when i was 13 online my parents would be like who are you talking to, i would be like "No one im playing a game" and they would be like ok
@nauiscoming17 - There is more that can be done. Parents don't have to give up that easily if they feel they feel their children are getting into trouble online. Maybe your parents trusted you. You seem to have survived so maybe they were fine not digging into your so called privacy as some parents must do with their children. When it comes to protecting children online, with the threats that are out there today, there is no such thing as privacy.
Mary, John Walsh, the Kantra's and everyone else that has lost a child to tragedy should just mourn in private and learn when to let go and move on with their lives. There is no way in HELL that they can change the world by whining to lawmakers to pass INSANE laws that are not only ineffectual, but are adding to the national dept and creates a bigger government. The hypocrisy is self-evident. Again, these "victims" are in the minority and child abduction is a statistical anomaly.
@southport97 Would you say this if it happened to you or someone you knew and loved? This is one of the most disgusting statements Ive ever read and you should be ashamed and need to repent of this. You just took these peoples pain and thrown it back in their face. How dare you! Could you be one of these creeps? Yes the government is too big but these programs I have no problem in paying for them. You just in a way defended these monsters.
@southport97 - I, for one, have no problem with my tax dollars going towards protecting our children. I would rather see the monies going towards something to protect children than, lets say, how do we make pigs happier so they get fatter. There are many silly things our tax dollars go to, but when it comes to children and their safety online or offline, feel free to use my money.
The Internet is not as docile as the TV was back in my day. Parents need to understand that Internet access can be so interactive. The line between the cyber world and the real world are so completely blurred when it comes to a child and The Internet Predator. God Bless you Alicia and thank you so much for sharing and helping us convince parents of this oh so real danger.
God should be on the sex offenders list for raping Mary when she was only 16. If I ever see God I will definitely make a citizens arrest.
