The only instruments I play are the turntable and the CD player. John Adams is a favourite composer. Your playing has increased my appreciation of this aria. Thank you.
I'm a pretty bad pianist, and I have no excuses since it's the only instrument I play. But when I play scores that don't really hint at the melody, I find that I get completely lost unless I sing along.
How in the world do you keep track of how many repetitions of each chord/arpeggio to play? Did you write notes in the music book, do you sing along in your head, or what?
Anyway, I think you did a great job here! The last thing I expected to find was minimalist opera karaoke :)
How Great! I played Horn in my wind ensemble school days and orchestra weekend practices, but I'm really a pianist. So we're just opposite. MAN, would I love to buy that piano reduction. Although I think I'd get Klinnghoffer 1st. When I heard the 'Day Chorus' from Klinghoffer in 1993, I was 13. I'd NEVER heard music like that. And I've been HOOKED ON ADAMS ever since.
What's the chord progression in this one?
