Don't listen to the nerds who mock your accent. Most of them couldn't sing in tune, not even "Happy birthday to you" at their sister's birthday party let alone sing that song WHILE playing the guitar. You may have an (slight) accent but you are true to the spirit of that beautiful song and your rendition is moving.

I read the 'by me' as him definetly distinguishing it's not Van Morrison. Van's got to be one of the most difficult people on the planet to try and duplicate. He's got an extremely unique voice and most people look pretty foolish even trying. This guy does a real good job though.
