  • Very nice video. Ravens are very interesting creatures :)

  • DOES HE SAY "WHAT THE FUCK" AT THE END BAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • What about when he craps all over the house??

  • @Sovereign10 ~ Corvid Ranch. Google it.

  • lol i waannt a raven so bad! :c how hard was he to train?

  • @XxPushoverxX ~ Very easy; they're extremely intelligent.

  • @euromerc Is it illegal to own one without a license or it not being a rescue?

  • @DoctorBoggles ~ It's illegal to own a Common Raven, indigenous to the U.S., unless you are a licensed Wildlife rehabilitator, or working with one. You can own an African hybrid like Edgar legally.

  • @euromerc Whats the difference exactly between a common and an African hybrid?

  • @euromerc my question is, how does one obtain an african hybrid?

  • @LambardiyourmoM ~ Google Corvid Ranch, in Alabama :)

  • @euromerc do you know if they ship to canada?

  • @LambardiyourmoM ~ I think they do, because I knew a woman in Canada who had one.

  • teach him to say never more

  • @thomas242007 ~ look up video "Ravenmania-Nevermore!

  • I am so jealous of you, lady. I love crows and ravens so much. ):

  • LMAO haha QUA QUA QUA! xD haha

  • Human: Hello bird , you're so sweet !

Crow : Give me a seed or fuck off !!!

    xD

  • wow ravens are pretty damn big

  • I saw a raven at a local nature center, named Cronk. I was absolutely in love with this bird (ravens are my favorite birds) and I kept visiting him throughout the entire time I was there. Eventually, he figured out I was his biggest fan.

To those he didn't want to visit him, he would say, "walk", meaning to go away.

For those he actually liked, he would say, "hello".

At first, all he said to me was "walk". After several visits, he finally said "hello" every time. :D It was awesome!!

  • With him perched on the back of your chair, I almost expected him to say "Nevermore" from Edgar Allan Poe's "The Raven". but Qua Qua Qua is just as good....

  • awesome

  • I love you guys! The shot of you sitting there are your desk with him on the back of the chair is frankly, majestic.

  • If I were you I'd put a layer of thick glass over the monitor :-)

  • @lisaaj40 ~ they're not pets; they're rescues.

  • @euromerc i believe given the badass nature of ravens, you qualify as their pets.

  • @euromerc yes but you can get them as pets !!!

  • @euromerc Did you rescue it yourself or were you part of some volunteer program? I think that's a very nice thing to do :).

  • @euromerc where did you get it?

  • @lisaaj40 you should be someones pet

  • @lisaaj40 Im guessing u also mate for life so what the F is up with having u as a pet?...

  • @lisaaj40 because you can have them as pets.

  • you have a beautiful bird, im very jealous :]

  • Beautiful!

  • pretty sure hes really sayin what the f--- lol

  • I think its "Qua qua qua" is it making fun of your Laugh.

  • Can I know this is a corvus corax, corvus coronoides or corvus cryptoleucus? sorry for this question, but I totally started my adventure with a types of crowed-familly, and I totally fallen in love of this one, and I really want to know what exactly he is...

  • @TheChocoffe ~ Pied Crow (Corvus albus) crossed with Brown-necked Raven (Corvus ruficollis).

    Edgar is a hybrid.

  • @euromerc Thank you so much!

  • @euromerc And oh, he is quite mazing! If I have good information an albus and a ruficollis living only in Africa naturally... I'm jealous ;)

  • Its strange that we always think that its OK to have a Parrot- one that was possibly kidnapped from the rainforest, but that it's not OK to have a raven.

Man I totally want a pet raven now, just because they're common doesn't mean they arent awesome.

  • Cute!

  • i love how its name is Edgar

  • I get the aria and the 'quaquaqua' , but before that it sounded to me like 'ouhap ouhap ouhap'

  • :D You should take Edgar to an opera!

  • Qua Qua Qua soo funny it like appens randomly

  • @starmaker1998 ~ it does :)

  • Do you think they are mistaken for dcrows a lot? Where I live everyone thinks they are crows even my cousin who is an environmental sci grad. But I have refranced manuels and listened to the calls. These birds are amazing and just because there are so many no baudy wants to think of them as much more than pests. I enjoy them all year long but esp in winter.

  • @93hipgnosis ~ Ravens are a lot larger than crows.

  • @93hipgnosis Crows have grey parts when ravens are almost completely black. That's how I separate them.

  • @RaccooNooB Not in the UK - both are solid black.

  • @93hipgnosis Ravens are from the same family as crows, hence their similar look. think of it like a different variety of monkey where the size and look may be different.

  • Wait, I thought you couldn't get a pet raven. Legally.

  • @AntiTPG ~ Corvid Ranch, Alabama.

  • @euromerc Ah.

  • aria is when there is a singing solo. queen of night is what ur referring too isnt it?

  • @FrankFromTexas ~ I'm not sure. Please quantify for me.

  • Comment removed

  • WO..WOAH.

  • @K00rihi Yup they're corvids :)

  • Where do you get these beautiful birds?

  • @SaxyRita ~ Licensed rehabilitators and veterinarians.

  • where the hell is that raven that says nevermore?!?!?!?

  • @MrIHasCrayons ~ There is one on YouTube that says "Nevermore".

  • @MrIHasCrayons ~ Look up: Ravenmania - Nevermore! on YouTube.

  • @MrIHasCrayons youtube.com/watch?v=HzGsC0mtvQs&feature=related

  • WOW its true they can talk THATS CRAZY i have a baby one in my house and they are smart but this takes the cake.. lol

  • At the end it sounds like he's saying "What the Fu**" hahaha

  • o.o i never fully realized how big ravens are.... THEY ARE HUUUUUUUUGE!!!!!!!

  • Girl: Qua Qua Qua

    Raven: Wtf

  • WHOA! Was that a falsetto??

  • @crazycagada ~ Up yours with a raven tailfeather.

  • Seems like Ravens talk better than Parrots.

  • @TheSpiralHill ~ Sometimes they do.

  • That´s one big birdy ya got there! O.O

He´s beautiful by the way! :D

  • You have a lovely singing voice yourself.

  • @battletoads22 ~ Thank you :)

  • @zack199544 ~ Corvid Ranch in Alabama.

  • Doensn't it poop everywhere?

  • @mai1992 ~ yes.

  • If you don't mind me asking,

how is it that you come across a pet raven?

Did you just decide one day "Hey, dogs are cats are boring. I think i'll go catch and tame a raven..."

  • @0Smilelikeyoumeanit ~ Edgar is an African Hybrid Raven, and i got him from a breeder :) I rescue all kinds of animals.

  • @euromerc that's awesome

(and then name's pretty wonderful too :) )

  • @euromerc ha ha, Edgar?

  • @euromerc Did you name him Edgar after Edgar Allen Poe?

  • And a gorgeous raven he is too - seems very happy there - is he a flyer?

  • @MissCatShoes ~ Edgar is flighted.

  • Edgar is such a wonderful name :)

  • HOLY CRAP!!! DID YOU KNOW THERES A RAVEN IN YOUR HOUSE?!?!?!

  • hey, im lookin for a raven, does the breeder have a website?

  • @kalebder ~ Google "Corvid Ranch".

    Cheers!

  • that raven has crows feet

  • @tony1238 ~ Ravens have much larger feet than crows, even when they are chicks.

  • Awww. I want a pet ravern too. He's so cute! Such beautiful birds

  • awwwwww I had a baby raven when I was little, sooo smart!!! his wings were way to big for him lol. I love that yours speaks and sang that aria! thats awesome!

  • The "qua qua qua" sounded like something I dare not repeat. XD

  • He's cute. I think my dog and a raven would be really cute together. They'd play with eachother a lot. I wish I had a pet raven, they're really smart. :)

  • @crazybuizel ~ I have one raven that plays with the dog.

  • intellegent,goed,behandelen,ze,pikken,in,jou,dig,ha,ha

  • Not only the size and vocal range but the pointed tail clearly indicate that this corvid is a raven not a crow!

  • She On Whatching Porn On The Pc ...

  • Is it named after Edgar Allan Poe's Poem The Raven??

  • @PoisonInTheBlood6 ~ ...kinda. My ex-fiance named him.

  • @PoisonInTheBlood6 I love that poem :)

  • Where did you get that Crow? I hope you didn't capture it from the wild.

  • @Turdbuckethat ~ Edgar is a raven, not a crow, and I got him from a breeder.

  • @euromerc Rounded at the end of the tail = crow. Sorry, but I saw the Outsmart the Raven video. That is definitely a rounded tail. Raven's tails are triangular at the end. Plus Raven's are the size of a hawk, not a pigeon like your crow is.

  • @Turdbuckethat ~ Please don't make me tell you that you're ignorant.

  • @euromerc Hey don't get mad at me because you don't know your birds and got ripped off. I was just trying to help you out you ingrate. I don't care, keep thinking you have a raven and be stupid for all I care. I've been an Ornithologist for 15 years but NO, don't believe me. Believe your ignorant pet dealer instead.

  • @Turdbuckethat Calm the fuck down. If they're happy with their bird, then they're happy with their bird. Lay off.

  • @Turdbuckethat Calm the fuck down. If they're happy with their bird, then they're happy with their bird. Lay off.

  • @Turdbuckethat why is it that everyone suddenly grows lofty credentials, a giant pair of nuts and extreme asshole tendencies when commenting on youtube? in my 5 billion years of ornithological studies in alcatraz i have never heard of these kind of vocalizations in non raven members of the corvus genus, you feces. crow is a genus to which both crows and ravens belong. some of the larger species in the genus are commonly referred to as ravens. and that is pretty clearly a corax.

  • @m0sma Nice googling skills.

  • Look art your response and then ask yourself why people have extreme asshole tendencies. I could have told you everything you just said WITHOUT googling it, but I didn't want to come off sounding like a pompous ass like you have accomplished here. So, in conclusion, BLOW ME!!

  • @Turdbuckethat ~ Check out my video: Crow Vs. Raven in Size

  • @Turdbuckethat lol ur idiot that is a raven not a crow ..look at the beak

  • @badgyalbirdieakaray Was it really nessecary to call me an idiot? Maybe you should call yourself an idiot. RAVEN'S ARE CROWS you moron. They are just one of many species in the crow family.

  • @Turdbuckethat actually once again ill call you an idiot because a raven isnt a crow if it was a crow it would be called a fucking CROW .....the two birds ar esimilar they are cousins ...what you meant to say was that they are part of the Corvidae family..which also includes magpies rooks and bluejays...are you going to call those birds crows too ...know your facts before you talk..IDIOT

  • @badgyalbirdieakaray You know what? Forget it! Every time a person tries to correct someone else and maybe teach them something they may not know, their massive egos wont allow it. All you get in return is childish name calling. So all of you kiss my ass and remain the ignorant fucks that you are. I don't care anymore.

  • @Turdbuckethat sensitive arent we? DUDE ITS YOUTUBE LOL RELAX y u getting agitated over a laptop lol i can tell people have tried to correct you alot on here havent they ? maybe its actually because sometimes you might be wrong..or a bit muddled up in what with the actual facts :( ok lets be nice i wont call you an idiot anymore ..just make sure what you say is correct..hv a nice day :)

  • @Turdbuckethat if you are an Ornithologist then you need to go back to school because its obvious you missed that class or was too busy being an asshole to pay attention !! LOOK @ the size of the bird its obvious this is a raven its tail is arrow shaped

  • Cute!

  • It must be awesome to have a raven as a pet and I´d love to have one :D but ravens are supposed to like shiny things and that´s a reason why ravens 'eat' human eyes :1 Isnt it a little dangerous?

  • @PhearMonkey666 ~ The shiny things is a myth. They are curious about your eyes, however, they are smart enough to know that you're eyes do the same thing that theirs do, and they don't try to poke your eyes out. That being said, I am always cautious to keep my eyelids down a bit so there's no temptation! They are still wild.

  • I think this is a case of humans imitating birds.

  • You should teach it how to say "nevermore"

  • @doodlefreaklol Why "nevermore"?

  • @TheWartHawg because of the poem by edgar allan poe : the raven. you should look it up ^^

  • @MsCetinel Ah. I'm showing my culture (or lack thereof...)

  • @TheWartHawg lol the only reason I know of it is because I'm studying english literature in college :D

  • @doodlefreaklol

there is a raven on youtube somewhere that says nevermore

  • Edgar...as in Edgar Allen Poe..as in the writer of "the raven".

    Very clever xD

  • What would be the average life span of a raven like yours, one that does not live in the wild? I'm curious.

  • @thefitzthewitz ~ at least 25-30 years!

  • @euromerc WOW!!!

  • WOOW! this is soooo cool. Edgar rocks, how old is he? I wan't a Raven now soooooo bad :D

  • @pROTPANDA ~ Edgar will be 4 on April, 17 2011.

  • i knew a raven that could swear :D

  • not actuly a "hello"
