No they're not. First, people have got to remove their hoodies or helmets in gas stations, banks, airports and so on. Second, there actually is a law about appearing on the public place with your face covered. In France it is illigal to walk the street with a mask on your face. Third of all, I dont see anybody crying about the fact that we cant walk aroudn naked in the streets. Though you could argue that its your right not to wear clothes. You have no rights, they made em up. Only privileges.
interestingly enough Orthodox Jews also have a strict segregation between men and women during their prayer service. So the mind is focussed purely on God, and there is no distraction. Furthermore, Jewish women cover their hair upon marriage (like Muslim women and like christian nuns [in the Bible it says for women to cover their hair 1 Corinthians, chapter 11) so this isn't anything new or unique to Islam ... if you ban the headscarf you should not be hypocrites and also ban nuns and others ...

The school system may forbid headscarves, but that only applies to young girls in public schools, private schools are allowed to make their own rules about that sort of thing. The national law only forbids covering the face, which as far as I know is a practice unique to Islam.
But even if they did. Women wearing scarves arent nuns. The muslims are the only ones that feel the need to throw in everybody's face what religion they practice. Europeans have grown to keep this private. Thats why we cant coexist with them. Where theyre from, Islam is everything. Its law, food, science, tv, radio, everything. That being said, I don't see how wearing the burqa actually hurts anyone. The Dutch and Danes are considering it. The Swiss just banned the construction of minarets. The Muslims will of course take these things to the European Court of Human Rights. Would that Court rule against them (it has already upheld burqa bans at Turkish universities), I assume the flood door will open across Europe...

She's wrong. While the French constitution allows freedom of religion it is different from the American constitution. The first amendment states Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;... while the French says that people have the freedom of religion but the government can forbid certain religious practices if they are found to be harmful to society. So if the government thinks the Burqa is bad for society it can be banned.

No they're not. First, people have got to remove their hoodies or helmets in gas stations, banks, airports and so on. Second, there actually is a law about appearing on the public place with your face covered. In France it is illigal to walk the street with a mask on your face. Third of all, I dont see anybody crying about the fact that we cant walk aroudn naked in the streets. Though you could argue that its your right not to wear clothes. You have no rights, they made em up. Only privileges.

interestingly enough Orthodox Jews also have a strict segregation between men and women during their prayer service. So the mind is focussed purely on God, and there is no distraction. The school system may forbid headscarves, but that only applies to young girls in public schools, private schools are allowed to make their own rules about that sort of thing. The national law only forbids covering the face, which as far as I know is a practice unique to Islam.

The Dutch and Danes are considering it. The Swiss just banned the construction of minarets. The Muslims will of course take these things to the European Court of Human Rights. Would that Court rule against them (it has already upheld burqa bans at Turkish universities), I assume the flood door will open across Europe...

There is a debate here in Sweden about banning the burqa and the niqab.I don´t think it´s gonna go through. But I dont like the burqa or the niqab. However, I keep thinking about how it´s gonna be carried out practically. Are we supposed to rip the veil of the face of a woman we see wearing it?
However an employer has the right to tell what to wear when you´re at work, for example, so there will be problems if you´re gonna wear it.

She's wrong. While the French constitution allows freedom of religion it is different from the American constitution. The first amendment states Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;... while the French says that people have the freedom of religion but the government can forbid certain religious practices if they are found to be harmful to society. So if the government thinks the Burqa is bad for society it can be banned.
