Do you know how long this generator will run for with the eco switch turned "off" I will be using around 2000 watts at a constant rate and i hear that its not a good idea to leave the eco switch on? Will it still match the engine speed with the load even though the eco switch is switched off? Thanks.
DO you mean eco off with no load, or eco off with a 2000 wat load? One benefit to the iseb model is you can pretty much always keep eco on because the instantaneous battery "feed" allows the engine "catch up time" for compressor starting.
The only time its not good to leave eco on is if you know you are pushing a series of compressor based devices which could overwhelm the battery current boost.
I have this genny and a honda 2K for about 2 years now and I use it to Work and RV.
I hope you don't run it that close to the open garage. Many people die of carbon monoxide poisoning from doing that as the gas can go right through the walls into the house.
We never run it inside the garage (at least not more than a minute at a time) but thanks for bringing this to everyone's attention. It's easy to forget that this thing is kicking out CO.
Has anybody check to see how the Boliy Generator (3600 Watt) at a little over $1,000 compares with this Yamaha?

Wow, sorry to hear about your theft. We do keep ours chained and locked! The variety of chain we use is pretty tough...

@oxtailman
Sorry to hear that.

Trusten, these cost around $1700. I haven't priced them recently, but the model is the Yamaha 3000iSEB.
