  • Where did you get the solenoid or did you make it?

  • whoa..

  • it would be could to make a mini geni for int to power a small bulb for outages

  • DAMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • kinda put your balls over there and see what happends :D

  • Put your finger in there

  • madd fast fapping:)

  • How much would it cost to make one??

  • thats scary i would wana stand right next to that lol

  • fantastic!

  • Wow thats a great motor

  • FLYIIING!!!

  • ha ha wow talk about nice fans if you had like fan blades attached to it.

  • Comment removed

  • what the fuck does that have to do with it

  • rofl, what? hahaha

  • Very nice motor. I love things that are so simple but so cool. I like to make Stirling engines but I think I might have a go at making some basic electric motors after seeing this one. good work mate.

  • That one really picks up.

    Good Job!

  • leave the dud alone at least he is trying to make a difference you aliens how are messing up our planet who work for the oil company

  • how long will it last till it stops?is the battery a must for the motor?can i change it to another magnet.

  • My other video gives detail of how it is made. Like any motor it uses electricity. The battery is on the lower right corner, the red and yellow object. Helicat

  • wow man nice, but how you gonna keep those components safe? since it doesnt need compression to run...

  • but u didnot tell about the battery.i.e voltage n Amp.?Also tell the about the winding (NO. of turn and guage)Plz.Thanks.reply soon

  • @Helicat awsome can u make a how to vid

  • what was that under the magnet?is it a batery or same a magnet?tell me quick when u see this post!!!

  • nice how u made it?

  • dude that is fucking awesome! they should upsize those and start puting them in cars. patent that thing yo!

  • regular motors woulnt carry momentum like this one would, so yeah, imagine a big-scale prototype, maybe with four extending magnets instead of two. something so simple can be a real big deal doutchbag

  • wow. vary extensive vocab. thanks for the spelling check, your i.q. is above what i expected. might not seem practical to you, but with the right mind, unlike yours, the flaws could be properly delt with resulting in a more efficient design, meaning people like you will be proven wrong. doesnt murpheys law state that with every action there is an opposite and equal reaction? there you go. slightly up the ampage and be amazed.

  • ROFL!!! are u kidding me?!?! Murphey's law? ahahahaha its NEWTON'S 3rd law u dumb shit! thats probably one of the funniest things Ive ever read... also now that i think about it, what has that statement even got to do with your little rant? it was bit of a random thing to say dude.

Just shutup and stop trying to sound smart, if u were to deal with the flaws and make it more efficient, the only thing u could do would be to shorten the arms... EFFECTIVELY TURNING IT INTO A NORMAL ELECTRIC MOTOR!

  • wow thanks again. forgive me for being so young. either way how does being mistaken make me stupid? 4.5 on the fcat (florida comprehensive assesment test) writing, 4 on math, and 3.5 on reading is quite above average, so compared to many other people, i am more sophisticated even if i mix my words. how many times have i cussed too? stooping to your level (vulgar language) is a bit far and unneccessary. im just trying to show you my side of the arguement if you would understand what is being said

  • how do i do this

  • WOW how you stop that thing!

  • disconnect electricity from the electromagnet

  • nice!

  • a) its not fake, b)there is a way but to by it is like 1billion quid and it gives u 2%energy extra (102% out)

  • wtf?

  • wtf?

  • WTF

  • WTF?

  • WTF?

  • WTF?

  • I see how it works....not that fake

  • just like your mom

  • that was crazy

  • Sounds like V8!

  • lol, how do you figure that?

  • it`s a classic motor you idiot and spins like it, you can see the wire that power up the rotor, no science rocket. So what you mean by fake ? you`re like a time traveler or something so in your time you have time-machines but electric motors don`t exist :))))

  • or have it generate its own power, but also produce power...like i said endless

  • dude u could totally use that to generate power just like a generator...u know think of the possibilties...endless..........

  • What?!?!!? Provide motor to an engine just so it can make less power than it uses, thats a joke.

  • ur a joke

  • Lets get electricity to power an electric engine that will run a generator to make electricity. Yeah THAT MAKES ALOT OF SENSE!

  • the only power needed from an outside source is to get the machine started then as it gets going it switches to its own circuit in which its creating its own energy to power the electromagnet at the bottom and another line will be the extra power that does not get used then that gets sent off to power some other object...u digg?

  • No you sound like you're describing perpetual motion which is impossible. The electric motor has to draw in electric energy to power the electro magnet. This energy that it draws in will be greater than the power that the generator puts out because of losses due to friction etc. It's impossible.

  • what if you hook up a transformer after the generator? hmmmm? HMMMMM? Didn't think about that bitch, did you?Did You?

    bitch

    lol

  • Let me get this straight, you are telling me you can hook an electric motor to a generator and the power from the generator can be used to run the electric motor right? Is that what you're trying to say?

  • or have a small solar panel

  • Comment removed

  • You NEVER realy NEVER can make more energy that you use so it doesent work

  • es muy genial como para generar energia

  • wow nice job. im going to make a motor soon these things look so cool!

  • haha i once made one with a magnet. paperclips and a rolled up copper wire.. but this is awsome

  • Watching this and thinking what next you could do,,this reminds me of the timing mechanism in an old chevy distributor(HEI has it too). As the RPM increases the centrufical weights get pulled out by centrufical force which presses on a lever which advances the timing even futher.I'm going to make one of these.

  • Cool Machine

  • But I still see a battery, isn't it?

    Fascinating machine!

  • I think it fascinating! Have you tried any practical applications? you know how they've come up with the flash lights that generate a charge by shaking them. if you could put one that rides on a cam lobe or something? or possibly something that works on the principle a hand well pump for pumping water?...It seems that its creating alot of torque once it's running top speed. will a slight physical resistance eventually slow this to a stop? I want one waaaa!!!!!

  • i was just waiting for a magnet to fly off haha

  • at first i was like: o,o

    Then i was like: O_O

  • how does it work?

  • how many rpm does it put out

  • top speed is about 900 rpm

  • very nice

  • you put a dremmel disc cutter on the end

  • put ur hand on that XD

  • The battery pack is the red and yellow thing on the lower right of the motor platform. Helicat

  • wowXD

  • that is awesome!!! does it actually move stuff??

  • wow i am a inventor i love this invention

  • a shitty motor isnt an invention, still cool that he made it tho

  • this is the best

  • where did ya get those magnets or did u make them??

  • thats pretty nice!

  • wow!

    I love this motor!

  • I think he fast foword

  • wow thats really cool

  • great!

  • 7?cells * 1.2V = ~8.4V

  • Seems reasonable. I have built something like this and use a 9V battery as a source and it spins really fast.

  • battery cells look to be at least size C's, a lot more amperage than one 9V

  • try using a reed switch with it.

  • dont stand to close to that thing

  • This is just a motor the battery that powers it is on the lower right corner. Helicat

  • you could recharge batteries with that...

  • I don't get it?

  • stand a little closer, you will.

  • still don't lowest-rank

  • Ordinary DC motors rotate the coils inside permanent magnets, this one rotates the magnets and the coil is stationary. Using cams instead of carbon brushes is a detraction, because graphite is already a good high speed lubricant and handles heat well. Distribitor cams need periodic lubrication and point replacement, as well as RFI filtering capacitors to protect the points from electromigration.

  • make it really big and power ur house that would be cool

  • I almost made one of those - I was thinking of calling it 'eye injury'.

  • fascinating work. What is the purpose of the disc on the left?

  • Flywheel.

  • i love the fact that this sounds close to a petrol engine

  • Most of the sound you hear is the washer on top of the electromagnet clicking it is just a little loose so when the permanent magnets rotate by it it rattles.

  • awesome just on question how do you stop it?

  • disconnect the battery.

  • damn, people who comment on science videos are assholes. theyre always callin eachother dumbass and shit. how about a 'good job it works... its pretty cool'???

  • This is basically how the universe works, people..just a lot bigger.

  • newman magnet enginge,,,,,??

  • cool dude, fuck evryone, its a good idea

  • have your motor power the electromagnet that way no outside constant power is needed

  • friction would take over and it would die you dumb ass

  • well there you go you just invented a perpetual motion machine fuck your a genius .

  • Not really, becouse that is realy imposible.

You cannot put, say, 4 wats into a system and then turn it into 10 wats. Thats imposible.

But what I think really happends here is that this motor is using a small power imput, and then it uses that to draw a much larger power into the system, and then using a bit of that to keep itself running and the other to power anything else.

That is in many ways much like how a heatpump works, it gives of many times more output than what was put in.

  • you ever hear of sarcasm?

  • dont talk unless you know what your talking about its magnetism a motor uses electromagnets thats why its not always on this one uses permanent magnets so it needs no electricity to run

  • Yeah it runs w/o any power. Clearly you're the professor here.

  • LMAO

  • dumbest comment on here.

  • Makes energy for what, batteries?, or a lamp?

  • you gotta start somewhere,

  • Interesting that you said that. I just purchased an extensive set of 2" thick N42 Axially Neodymium Block and Cylindrical Magnets and will build a large model first, but with a greatly improved design. A design that has simply been overlooked, or at least what has been released into the public domain.

  • Adams Pulse generator :)

  • now think if 1 of those magnets fleww off and hit u in the eye lol!!!!

  • you should out a saw where that circle thing is that would be cool

  • Love the engine, do you have any plans for it that you would sell?

  • Duh, its a normal electric motor. It's the same kind of motor we use all the time. However, I'm impressed that this was homemade.

  • how many volts?

  • how strong does it have to b?

  • Nice that a very creative idea i like that dosent do any think buy spin to buy that cool put a prop on the end make a fan lol

  • Too bad you didn't connect two field magnets. It would run much smoother, and you would increase the RPM to ~1000 RPM.

  • Wonderfull desplay old chap

    pat on the back...pat pat

Now what is the supply power? 12v dc?

and what makes it gain speed?

  • Thanks for the kind words. On the video it is running off of a 9.6 volt nicad pack. It runs up to about 900 rpm on 12 volts. It gains speeds slowly because it actually produces very little power. It just takes a while to get to full speed. P.S. the battery is on the lower right.

  • Well I finished my motor its amazing- i didnt go your route using moving magnets... i used the induction ring and the 5 coils... yes 5 coils - I wanted to make it five because i havent seen one of thoes yet so yeah i went with that at 12 volts the brass commutator motor produces 1450RPM LOL amazing i say!

  • thats some serious power for a battery

  • Looks like you are fixing to rip that board.

  • and... how do you stop it?

  • To stop I just un clip one of the battery connections which you cannot really see on the video. The connections are on the lower left portion of the video where the green wires are

  • lol, what if the battery flew off =0 that what really hurt if it hit you =0

  • lol what id the disc flew off?

  • The battery can't fly off. Those cylinders that are rotating are magnets with wound copper wire. Now that would hurt if it flew off.

  • Can teach me how to make

  • I can see an electric RC airplane battery pack sitting right there-- it's the red brick in the lower right. This looks like a simple model of a standard brushless motor.

  • Yep that is the battery that runs it. I never thought of it as a brushless motor but you are right.

  • thats pretty awsome

is it all free energy or are there batterys involved?
