@AzNFudgeman The 750 has less weight to haul than the 1000, so yes, it would have a faster start down the track(all things being equal and assuming the same rider was operating one then the other) but the 1000 has more power and torque and will not stay behind for more than a few hundred feet, then it would outrun and out perform the 750. The 1000 is a lot of bike and it's not really suited for a beginner, that's why the operator of the 1000 had trouble keeping up in the vid. I'll bet.

the truth is most riders never push their bikes to its limits, they do not fully understand their bike, they go out and buy a 1000 when they should in reality stay with a 600, what im getting at is they buy the bike for show and are afraid of its full ability. so then when they go to *Race* with somebody they have no clue how to launch, get all psyched out and forget to do things like shift up, and sometimes they forget things like how to turn, stop...ect lol

@matthias2986 i agree with you there, especially when theres a new rider and they decide to jump right up to a 1000, 600 takes a good amount of skill to ride and is a fast bike let alone a 1000 which is a lot more bike, plus 600's have slightly better handling, i have an 09 gsxr 600 and maybe for my next bike i'd prolly go for another 600 or maybe 750, but no 1000 for me, then again i say that now lol

@25sportbiker as someone who has had a gsx-r 600,750 and 1000 skip the 750 and go for the 1000. its not as bad as you think its just an insane amount of more power. but there not crazy wheelie machines like people say unless you really hammer them. i said the same thing as you ' no 1000 for me.' With that being said the 07 1000 I had with yoshi pipe and power commander did 170mph in 5th gear at 9500 rpm, thats as fast as i had the balls to go.
