  • Goodness she is SO beautiful!!!!!!

    Such a lovely QueenXD

  • I would have been thrilled to go on that Maiden Voyage.

  • 25 000 pounds per purson woooollllllll

  • Jesus... how does a thing like that get made? o_o

  • in the docks

  • i was there i was grate!!!!

  • grate=great!!!!!

  • Why didn't they make such a big deal about her in America? I wish they did. The news guy is right, balconies are only about 1,500$. I've been saving since the 8th grade to take the QM2 for my senoir trip and I have just about enough for a balcony! XD

  • at least she goes to america

  • umm. then its a waste. the Queen Mary 2 is docked permanitly. it will never sail again. so what are you going to do with all that money from 8th grade?!?!

  • The original Queen Mary is docked. I'm saving to sail on the Queen Mary 2 (who's service started in 2003). So yeah, I think you got the two Queen Mary's mixed up. -_-0 It happens some times! XD

  • I just refer to them as QM1 and QM2. It's a shame that the QM1 is located in America, I'm sorry but I really do think it should be kept in Britain, QE2 is going to be permenantly docked in Dubai at the end of this year, that really annoys me.

  • maybe just maybe the britans will be happier with it here because they are complaining at US GERMANS and yet they think germans might get payback for the Tirpitz, and the bismarck.

THEY HAD NO RIGHT TO BREAK UP THE TIRPITZ

  • @tiarauscher Yeah we did... You sank the Hood... So sod off! And the Tirpitz was broken up by Norwegians, not the British!

  • I agree--and I'm American!

  • No, the Queen Mary is docked permanently. The Queen Mary 2 is still in service

  • actually they did, i went on her madden voyage, in Ft. Lauderdale and we had electric fences around the ship we had coast guards chasing people like crazy, so yes they did make a big deal about the ship

  • Yeah, they did, but that's not what I ment. I ment that she had almost no news coverage (at least any that I saw). Back 50 years ago a big new ocean liner was the 'talk of the town'. Yeah, they made a big deal about her safety, but not her purpose.

  • no you didnt you big fat lier

  • really i didnt? because thats why i have all the news papers and what not from the places we went, and i have all the ship event papers? hmm yep your right i never went on the ship

  • @ZeroGal5 They didn't make a big deal? HMMM Take it back, look at what just happened recently in New York, the Royal Rendevouz of the 3 Queens. Like a news reporter said ", no one could pull of the spectale at New York just like Cunard. If it were another cruise line, then no one would care; but it's not it's Cunard and New York Celebrated."

  • @TITANICLUSITANIA yes, back THEN during her maiden voyage they didn't. of course they'd celebrate the Royal Rendevouz, that always has been and will be a big deal. and by the way, if it was such a huge deal to the rest of the public then it would've been featured on news here in Detroit. the only way i got to watch it was via webcam in the QV's bridge that night and YouTube. please to keep in mind that my comment was made a LONG time ago BEFORE the latest Royal Rendevouz.

  • Please keep in mind that I live in Florida and I saw a huge spectale when the Queen arrived from her maiden voyage. The Royal Rendevouz was a big deal, it got featured in paper and even the internet news from the USA, Mexico (I know because my Aunts and Uncles live there and they told me), Colombia (My cousin Lives there), and of course England. In all cities of these states, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, El Paso, Bogota, Mexico DF, Salamanca, Cartagena...etc.

  • @ZeroGal5 It probably wasn't featured in the news at Detroit, because it isn't something of detroit's concern. Detroit publishes things that pertain to Michigan. As do all other parts of the world.Just because it doesn't get published in the Detroit papers doesn't mean it wasn't a huge spectale. Don't be vacuous and insolent and believe it wasn't big just because a city didn't publish it. They had many fireworks and people at New York. Ayy Informate mas antes de abrir la boca cretino.

  • @TITANICLUSITANIA "Don't be vacuous and insolent," excuse me? i'm not trying to undermine Cunard or the Queen Mary 2, like other ocean liner enthusiasts i respect them and love them. my original comment was stating that OVERALL ocean liners are not as big of a calamity as they used to be, which is shame. personally, i do appreciate being called 'insolent' or 'vacuous', especially since you don't know me personally. i never called you anything negative, why would you do so to me?

  • @TITANICLUSITANIA yes, i am aware that new pertaining to Michigan would be in our news papers, gosh i'm not that 'insolent', but we've had a long, proud maritime heritage and i was fuming that it at least didn't have a little article about it in our 'other news' section. the real kick in guts is that they (of course) had articles about the Oasis of the Seas. with an event as historically significant as the Rendevous one would hope that it would be featured in their city's paper.

  • @ZeroGal5 The Oasis of the seas didn't achieve as much spectale as the Royal Rondevouz. All of New York was celebrating (well the greater half of New York) Well it's awfully strange that QM2 didn't come out in the papers, if you're such a "maritime heritage appreciators." I say this because it did come out in Miami New Times, sun-sentinel, El Paso Times, El Diario (Mexico), and El Tiempo (Colombia). "i do appreciate being called 'insolent' or 'vacuous'" I think you mean to say that you don't

  • @TITANICLUSITANIA that is correct, i DON'T appreciate being called 'insolent' and 'vacuous'. and you don't have the right to judge this state or her people without knowing it. and a while you said a while ago all of New York was celebrating her arrival, but you say that only 'the greater half' did? what ever, to be honest i don't want to waste my time arguing with a child about this debate, especially since you twisted words into something that i didn't mean.

  • @TITANICLUSITANIA let me know when you've grown up learned to stop insulting people, then we'll talk.

  • @ZeroGal5 Unlike you I'm not a pathetic wretched child. If you're a grown up, then it's sad that you still think and write like an uneducated child. Bye.

  • @TITANICLUSITANIA wow what a coincidence to meet you here! youtube is a small town i see :)

  • @brotmann86 HAHA It is actually. :D
