Did any of you non-Inuit stop to ask... what do the Inuit 'feel' when we use this word? Who used that word? I bet it wasn't the Inuit people. I find that attitude very ignorant and it makes sense to me that the word Inuit should be used especially since it is now known that the word "Eskimo" isn't what the Inuit call themselves.
People using the word "Eskimo" instead of "Inuit" because they didn't take the time to learn the proper name of these people doesn't mean that is should be used when talking about that time frame. They are quoting, yes, but capturing the 'feeling' of the era this report came from might be different in the eyes of an Inuit person.
