they do not want unlock phones because they want to tie you into a contract and for roaming. Yes phone company does let you use unlock phones on their network. For t-mobile and at&t all you need to do is switch your sim card to the new phone and thats it.

dont need to know what series your sim card is. If you visit my site. look for the iNEX hypersim for DoCoMo phones. that hypersim will work with any sim card series in Canada. Fido or Rogers will work.

everyone its unlocked by using hypersim card, its a thin SIM like card that goes on top of your carrier's sim card. ^^

Can you tell me where the difference is between the P906i, SH906i and the F906i. Coz i am considering to get two of those phones...but except how you rotate the screen i cant see any difference.

for these phone working outside of japan function wise they are all the same and perform the same functions. the only major difference is that sh906 has touch screen, p906 doesnt have flash and F906 has 3.2mp camera.

you will need a either t-mobile or at&t sim card for it to work in the US. Sorry we only take Canadian Dollars. So please do the conversion back to US dollars. its about $600 i believe.
