if your a musician or not but if you listen to the other songs the bassist is playing simple

chord progression..for example as if you count 1-2-3-4..and this song Hysteria it's the same -only 4 chords..he plays the chords in different octaves to give it a different feel..

@Coldplay2085 Chris is an amazing bassist actually. He focuses on the sound and produces epic baselines. You might be right that there are better bassists in terms of speed and the technical side but to say Chris isn't an expert bassist and a 'beginner' is just completely wrong. Muse pride themselves on their sound and epic riffs and songs they produce not on the fact they don't want to play some fast horrible sounding slap bass or riffs that no one wants to hear. Muse are excellent, end of.

Matt usually uses his own, unique, custom personal guitars. This is one of them, it's called the Bomber. It was retired from touring in 2006. Do you research.

During Muscle Museum, it was labeled as Hysteria which was an obvious mistake. Then they played Hysteria after Muscle Museum, i think. If that's the case, the label was meant for the previous song in the beginning of Hysteria. The label at 3.57 was correct at least. Ah who cares lol.
