@mxl812 Shitty life ? Listen to " No Surprises " instead of " Fake Plastic Trees ". This song is for people who are sick of their life but still have hope
uhm... If Thom and Jonny had played this song at Reservoir... That could might have been the best version. U might be talking about the version that was posted by elemilex. i think that version is better than this one, though, i love this concert. i own this dvd. it rocks! :) tks RH!
i dont really remember how i heard, but the story goes like this, he was frustrated with the way fans and media etc. where still stuck on creep, and just the lyrics themself tell how he was feeling at the time, not to mention how he felt about the way the enviromental problems where being handled, basically he was on the edge of giving up on all
This song captivates a place that we all reside within, a somewhat parallel universe of the bitter, true reality of what's underneath the surface of our very existence..."She looks like the real thing, She tastes like the real thing...My fake plastic Love" And sometimes it's easier to pretend.
hahhaa, i watched that one per your recommendation, and i couldn't see what you were talking about, and then it just EXPLODES into the third verse and i realized... yeah. good call.
nah I think they loose the emotion of this song with this way of performing it, just comes across as lackluster especially compared to the slow build and release of later years.
You heard right. It was a business and shopping district in London and it landscaped with a lot of artificial plants. That could be where the title came from. Amazing song. :D

Absolutely no difference between the live version and the studio one. Only Radiohed can do this!
Progressiveownsall 1 year ago
@Progressiveownsall Actually this version is different, if you listen to the electric guitar line it is more textural, with a Tele-country-ish feel.

@GwynforLwyd
But both are kick-ass, aren't they? :D
Progressiveownsall 1 year ago
@Progressiveownsall I hear a huge difference. The leads aren't the same, and the band comes in on the first verse.. among other variations.
