Don't agree with 100% of what tmot says, or what anybody says...but I do agree with him about tattoos and the perceptions that come along with them.
Tattoos until about 20 years ago were signs of rebellion. You'd only see them on sailors, bikers or convicts. They had a strong stigma back then when a man had them. Women with tats? That was out of the question.
Definitely wasn't and ISN'T something that you would associate with femininity or being ladylike.
