I agree you cant beat the original. but i saw EDrive in concert a few weeks ago and although it isnt the original they really made it their own i thought it was great. BTW Brad Mates is sooo hot he can retire in my necks of the woods (literally woods lol jk) anytime ;)

Emerson Drive is amazing.

Of course most people will prefer Nitty Gritty Dirt Band's version; it's the original. Pretty much EVERYONE in country music covers it because it's a classic. It's covered by bands because country music fans will respond to it, obviously.

Brad Mates CAN sing. Very very well actually. Emerson Drive is incredibly talented, there is nothing like an EDrive concert. They're very underrated. I don't understand where all the Emerson Drive hate is coming from, and I don't think they were trying to upstage the Nitty Gritty Dirt band, but they're version is very good and they have the talent, no doubt about it.

They sound amazing when they sing this live. The video quality here just sucks, that's all.

I love Emerson Drive. I will admit the Nitty Gritty Dirt band sang this song way better but Emerson Drive didn't do half bad. A song they did ruin, however, is "The Devil Went Down to Georgia." Brad is great singer dispite what other people say. He should just stick with the band's songs.
