A lot of corporations use volunteerism and charitable giving as a means to improve their public image but their amount of giving doesn't make the tiniest of dents in what's needed relative to what govermnent programs do to address those needs. i worked for a call center for bank of america, horrible people plain and simple. I was the one they paid 9 dollars a hour not to give you your overdraft fee's back it got too me and that's why i quit.

Let's get more specific. I believe Cenk is referring to a very under-published fact that everyone should be aware of and regarded with high priority. BoA managed to transfer $75 Trillion in derivatives to an FDIC insured bank, something they were not supposed to be allowed to do but they found a way, therefore, putting tax dollars at high risk. $75 trillion is more than the entire world's GDP. Want to crash a country? BoA is poised to do much more than just crash the US economy.

Remember, banks gamble with your money because the GOVERNMENT garentees your bank account up to 250k. So unless you have more than 250k, they will be gambling with your money. Who cares if they lose it, the tax payer will pay back the account. Remove this regulation, and banks who do it, will go bankrupt and be out of the game. Mega corps will die off, and only small local banks that build trust in the community will be left standing.
