I'm a jazz trombonist, so I don't give in to this stupid hip-hop/pop propoganda that's on the radio. I'm generally very anal about music. I only usually listen to jazz or rock, with few exceptions such as madcon. And I love this version, it's just I like madcon's better. That is my opinion. This is pretty cool, though. Especially for its time!

Having listened to both this and madcons version I honestly have to say that the version by Shocking Blue is superior to either because it is done with an intensity that gives credence to the title of the song. Far and away Shocking Blue brings to this song the sexual intensity that the lyrics describe more than any other version.

Well I'm not hating either. Love Madcon's modern oomph, but simply cannot resist the drum beats and piano riffs in this version. Think I prefer the high vocal notes in the bridge too - 'I need you to understand...'. Respect to the original, and thankyou Madcon for shining light on it!
