I would love for you to try this....HoneySilk Conditioning Treatment, edible and all natural. Works to soften your hair and softens while shampooing, it brings your natural color bright and vibrant, GROWS the hair, gives a silky feel and look with amazing moisture. I would like to send you and some of your viewers a freee sample! Please let me know, my name is Fabulous!
I have 4c hair and what I've found is that by separating my hair in four sections to wash and condition helps alot. I only detangle my hair in the shower when it is soaked with water and lots of conditioner. Make sure your conditioner has lots of slip, like Pantene. And yes, water does help your hair grow - but you must lock in the moisture with an oil - otherwise the water just evaporates. That is key. Good luck!
love ur hair but you should only deal wit ur hair when its wet.. my fro looked similar when i took out my braids that i had for 3 months and what did it for me was detangling with natural conditioner in.. helped a lot
I make my own organic shampoo and it naturally detangles my hair. it softens it too. very easy to make and lasts for a long time. apple cider vinegar rinse and baking soda wash once a month to strip hair of dirt and build up in between. my hair grew almost 7 inches in a year. gonna keep going.
@Jarrod95 Yeah.. I followed that treatment with great results too.. No more baldy here.. Anyway you spelt the name of the site wrong, Its HairLoss101. net (remove the space)
Kay.... I neglected mine a little, and regret it. The growth slowed down, I think our hair are like plants if you water it our hair will grow and if you don't, you get dryness, knots, and split ends....
you should not compare the growth of locks with the growth of hair because locks grow a lot faster than hair because 1)this hair on the "ends" is not attached to the scalp anymore (when you have locks) thats why they can be as long as possible and 2) when you have locks, your hair is locked so, they don't have
shedding, all the hair that is supposed to fall don't and considering that we loose hair everyday, it's a substantial "fake" growth if we don't loose it..but locks are also beautiful!
I believe you had lots of tangles and knots because you didnt apply conditioner or oils to it. It wouldve been better if you messaged your two strand twists with shampoo ,applied conditioner, and actually take down your twists to detangle and then twist them back in the shower and then rinse out the conditioner. and lastly sealing them with oil. so when the twists air dried, it wouldnt be a problem with your hair. Please check out my channel c:-Bre(I hope I dont come across as picking on u....)
I'm saving this video forever...in 5 years, I want my hair to look like that...as much as it can it's own way...you know big and lucsious! freak defining curls!
@CrownJewel32 LOL I hope so...it's not that I doubt my hair's ability to grow...I doubt my ability to take care of it...I hope I find a regimen that it likes soon....I do plan to use terresentials mud wash to shampoo when my hair starts to get a bit longer...it's heaven for tangling/washing hair...
@CrownJewel32 Thanks for all the positivist and encouragement CrownJewel32, I really appreciate it! I wish you great success in your hair journey also!
@TownHeroine, more than likely your probably right. I need to school myself first before saying these things. But I have seen oil work wonders for people. But WATER for me is KEY. Thanks for your comment! :)
Yeah, I never leave my hair out unless I've stretched it with braids or something. The back of my hair is 4a and if I don't detangle that section at least 2 times a week, it starts to DREAD UP.
@GwendolynRaine, isn't it amazing how hair will lock up with palm rolling? Our hair is AMAZING in that way. It has a life of its own! I should consider stretching my hair. It's something I haven't tried and certainly not perfected. I'm definitely going to try though!
@DynamicRunner, I'm actually a subscriber of yours under another name. I love your hair! We also have the same scalp condition believe it or not. And I'm a runner! I can't salsa dance though. You certainly have me beat there! And you are AWESOME! :)
@caseymiami1, when it was shorter I mostly did the wash and go. It was simpler. Longer hair brings more time and effort, certainly. I appreciated the TWA!!! Congrats on the Big Chop! :)
past summer and got myself into the same exact situation that u did with the knots and tangles as a result! Girrrrrl! I had to get my hubby to help me get those twists out - an he ain no kinda hair dresser! Folk be talkin bout twisting hair at da root for for locs, I know from experience that all I gotta do is wet my twists for about a week or two and it's loc city how are ya! Anyway thanx for reminding me that there are no shortcuts!!! I'm gonna fav this for when I get amnesia again!
@maximuslyricus, so very true about no shortcuts! Your hair ritual/routine sounds perfect by the way. I may try that myself!!! Also, again, your husband sounds like a knight in shining armor! Any man who takes the time to get the knots out of his wife's hair should be treasured! :)
Hey girl! I keep my hair in two strand twists, and I take the twists down to moisturize with water, and then seal with shea butter & castor oil every week. Well, because I've been gettin kinda tired of taking the twists loose, detangling, pooing, moisturizing, sealing and re-twisting every week, I've been playing around with the idea of just moisturizing my twists with water and sealing! Why I don't know - cause I did that this
Thanks for the info....you r right moisture is key...water ...essential oils...my hair have been growing and not breaking for the past year because I wash it more often and I use essential oils.
watering and nourishing your hair is lik watering flowers and plants=beautifully blooming plants. washing hair to unclog pores is also key, the scalp is the foundation.x
I'm going to back you up on everything you said. When you trap moisture (water) in your hair and then find a good sealant (I like shea butter mixed with coco butter, olive oil and a little bit of Oyin burnt sugar pomade...YES! yes yes.) your hair will love you.
Yeah I really agree with you on the moisture thing! Thank you for this video because it's really encouraging to me personally. I just cut off 8 inches of hair due to neglect when I had it in braids. I decided to start all over again after spending over 2 hours in the shower trying to untangle the old hair from the new healthy hair. Now I'm left with no more that 3 inches and YIKES. Never been so short! Looks good, but I adore long hair cause it seams more feminine to me. So hear I go w/moisture
Was this the first time you had the mini twist in? I've seen some natural hair videos where the ladies had mini twist and they removed/ detangled their hair while it was wet. A few put conditioner in their hair and detangled that way. Just an idea. My hair isn't as long as yours but i find that when I detangle in the shower with water running over my head it is much easier. I think we share similar textures. Hope this helps.
You're hair has grown a lot... I learned that lesson with my daughter who has microcurls... Her twists have to be taken down, detangled, washed and conditioned once per week. Otherwise her hair will lock.
I neglected my hair a few weeks ago b/c I was in the process of moving and was not even thinking about it. Went to bed without my satin bonnet, did not twist my hair u at night, did not moisturize. When I finally settled in my new place and decided to do my hair, it was dry and matted. It took a few washes and conditioning treatments to get my hair back right. Never again.
@NaturalNola86, I hear ya! It's so easy to neglect your hair....Probably easier to neglect it then do it each and every day. But you know what? It's worth the time and effort spent!! Thanks for your comment! :)
