White supremacists? Oh we have to use the race card to get our message across????
If you actually read the legislation, you would know that this is a thing of the past. But I bet you think that milk comes from cartons, and meat magically appears in the meat section at woolies..... Your arguments are flawed. I don't like shooting kangaroos, but the population is controlled by government mandate. Dont like it?? Run for parliament and change the laws..
There is such a sick, nasty side to mankind. Self-destructive and non-compassionate. But then there is also a beautiful side that hopefully one day will prevail. If we continue as we are I hate to imagine what sort of a world we will be a part of in the future. At least more people seem to be waking up more to things that really matter. I know I have. I hope more people start trying to make more positive choices in their life and break the cycle.
@ShelterHelperDogs Umm break the cycle thats been going on for thousands of years? Come on. If roo's weren't cute and cuddly you wouldn't give to shits. If you did then you would protest the use of fly spray and bug zappers on mozzies, they should have the same rights as every other animal shouldn't they? Or is there a double standard? Please get in the real world. Roos are in plague proportions and destroying out primary industry, meat doesn't just come from coles. Get a clue
@MrMapex2010 Actually it's not just because Roo's are cute and cuddly. I extend my compassion to all animals as I am very proud to be Vegan. Are you saying that you can't see the difference between a fly and a kangaroo?? You really are a lost cause.
@ShelterHelperDogs Yep, I must be lost cause as I don't see any difference between fly and a kangaroo except the obvious. Both feel pain, both are living creatures yet you will kill one without even thinking and bitch and moan about the other being killed for food and pest control. Either I'm as dumb as a fence post or there are some serious hypocricies in your argument. You really need to leave the city once in a while and vist the struggling farmers and see their side.
@MrMapex2010 Don't try to make out that you are only killing kangaroos to help the farmers. I realise there is a problem out there. But looking at your channel you are clearly obsessed with guns and killing for fun. I didn't say that I think it's ok to kill flies or anything. There are obviously times when you can't avoid killing things such as animals running in front of a car. But to take joy in killing is a mindset I will never understand. I avoid causing harm as best I can.
@ShelterHelperDogs You haven't answered my question about the difference between a kangaroo and a fly, you just skip around it by trying to make me look sadistic. And who said I shoot roo's? I don't as I can't obtain a permit but I do support proffessional hunters kulling them when they are in plaque proportions by 1 shot to the head which is the most humane way. And I do like guns, whats the problem? Would you treat a professional shooter in the olympics the same way?
@MrMapex2010 Kangaroo's were fine until Europeans turned up in Aus. So maybe you are labelling the wrong animal as a `pest'. Kangaroos are intelligent, sentient animals. I might not speak for all vegans but I can see there is a difference between the suffering of a kangaroo and a fly. I try to reduce the harm I cause, I don't believe that being a human makes me superior to everything else on our planet. We should be the guardians of our planet but instead we are intent on destroying everything.
@ShelterHelperDogs Ok you still haven't answered my question but we can leave it there. I respect that you want to minimise your harm but you need to look at what harm the kangaroo's are causing. The fact is since the drought broke numbers have sky rocketed and farmers have been over run. They have destroyded billions of dollars worth of crops which ins't good for our two speed economy with reduced quality and quantity to export.
@ShelterHelperDogs Also they are moving more and more into our cities, this presents a danger to them and the public. Everyday when I drive along the causeway to work there will be another dead roo. You can't say that one shot to the head isn't more humane than them beeing hit by a car and being left to die on the side of the road with possibly a joey. Also what if there was a family in that car?
@ShelterHelperDogs Im not asking you to change you views as I have no right to and visversa but I do ask you to consider all the implications these animals have.
America's deer are the eqivalent of Australia's kangaroos. I tried using this video as a weapon in the fight against hunting....but you can't make ignorant people see otherwise and you can't make hateful, selfish people have a heart...
@antoniocostaamaral please you seem confused, us humans are mammals, we are animals. Occording to small-minded ppl like yourself, you think just because were more advanced and intelligent then other animals its okay to kill them.
We had a young girl attacked by a Kangaroo the other day, not nice to see a young child being attacked by a roo. There was a lady the other day that had her leg amputated after she swearved to miss a kangaroo on the road, she nearly died. Kangaroos are definately a problem in some parts of Australia.
you need to get fucking educated love.... fuck me dead, where did you grow up... Newtown in sydney? the northern Suburbs? Eastern?.. get out and learn what country and farm life is all about, these types of things have been going on for the last 50 + years.. Your vegan crys for help are not going to change anyones view.... 6.9 million, thats a spec on the map comapred to how many there are. Abos were killing and eating them for years... grow up, get some life experience then come back in 30 yrs
@pentergraph Just because it's been done for a longtime, doesn't make it right. And for the Aborigines, kangaroos are/were a need for their people. And as for her "vegan cries," I see nothing wrong with pointing out abuse that goes unnoticed by the masses. Ever watched the documentary called Earthlings? Watch it and tell me what farming animals is all about.
@TheFirearmEnthusiast And building even taller walls isn't an option? Nope, of course not. Instead we must shoot the poor bastards. Just like we shoot people who we think might rob us...wait...
@abcdefwoo1234 Shoot people who might rob us? Where did you get that from?
In some countries and states you can kill people who attack you because property can be somones livelyhood.
There are many kangaroos here, it's much more efficient to shoot them when they come onto your property. Fences cost a lot of money to make and maintain especially for people with big properties, like farmers.
People attacking you. Sounds more for self-defense. Not property.
Then I propose a less violent solution to you as well. Instead of culling/shooting, why not relocation? Obviously, to somewhere a lot people don't live in and away from farms. Heightened concentration in the area will lead to competing for food and territory which will downsize the population. And if done during the hot/dry season, there will be less to breed during the wet season.
@abcdefwoo1234 I don't have a problem with your idea, but it costs a fair bit to relocate them. Hunters these days have to pass accuracy and ethics tests before they can hunt. They do the job for free too.
@TheFirearmEnthusiast Maybe people/organizations could volunteer for catcher training and volunteer vehicles for transport. I obviously don't have all the answers. It's not that simple This is a complex thing to deal with. I just think this would be worth considering. For instance, I may not know where these animals could be transported to, but others may have studied their habitat well enough to find somewhere suitable for both the kangaroos and the cause.
@italndiva What in the world are you talking about? This video is about kangaroos. Which is why I was talking about them. Where did you see anything about milk on this page? :/
@pissedofffranchisee what happens when a group has that thought about you? I wonder what your thought and comments would be if this happened to you and your child?
@BeingKindCom LOL - their only Roos love, we got that bloody many of the things I'm either shooting them or running them over in the car on the way to the Vegie shop! (they have a habit or running out in front of the car!! Maybe their suicidal - that's why we call em suicidal skippies!
@pissedofffranchisee yuck, that sounds sad...and like there is an overpopulation problem. I just wish there was more humane way of coexisting that didn't involve cruelty.
@BeingKindCom Yes it definately is an overpopulation of Roos in certain areas of Aus. Shooting them is about the most humane way of controlling them. They have been poisoned but that is just cruel, a bullet to the head is instant and most cost effective way so far. We have a very very large country with a huge feral animal problem. We even have feral Deer running around in Brisbane Australia causing issues with cars etc and endangering life etc, roos as well. Kangaroos will never be exstinct.
@pissedofffranchisee yow, I didn't know it was that big of an issue. And yes, poisoning is a long slow painful death. I am over in the PNW (Seattle area) and people here have the same feelings towards deer. Too bad that the government won't step in and do something. Are there any spay/neuter clinics helping? I appreciate you being willing to talk about this :)!
@BeingKindCom We have had a big wet season and what usually happens after that is a massive increase in the breeding cycle of all the feral species, conseqently this causes issues of all sorts with farming and city life etc, some areas are abviously more affected than others. Spay/Neuter Clinics - None that I am aware of? But it would be impossible to impliment I feel, we have over 25mil roos and around 20mill feral pigs let alone goats, rabbits, foxes, deer, horses, camels, donkeys, crocs, bats
@pissedofffranchisee And don't forget the 22.8 million humans living there. :D But of course, being the most powerful species, we separate ourselves from these population control killings. When animals over populate more then the environment can hold for what ever reason, we use it to justify killing them. When humans over populate, we go go, "Oh, aren't children just a gift!" Never mind the fact there are 7 billion of us now. WAY more than any other mammal (or primate) in the wild.
@abcdefwoo1234 Maybe you should lead by example if you feel us human are evil and over populating? Kangaroos are a problem, but I guess you wouldn't realise that sitting around the latte lounge talking BS with the other tree huggers. They need to be culled or else we are going to have huge problems growing the crops you lot depend on to eat.
@pissedofffranchisee You assume a lot about me. I never said we're evil. Mostly I implied that we aren't responsible enough with OUR effects on the environment, yet we punish other species for the same offense. If anything, WE should lower OUR populations. And I fully intend to adopt instead of birthing new kids into the world. We are a problem right now, but we also shouldn't be killed for it. Non-violent solutions are always available with situations such as this. Culling? Why not relocation?
@abcdefwoo1234 Why not relocation? Well how will that stop the over population of any species? they are still capable of breeding aren't they, all you have done is spread the problem to another site creating a problem for someone else in the long run. So if we collect a heap of feral pigs and put them somewhere else how will that fix the problem? you now have feral pigs in 2 locations one where they were originally a problem and now a problem in a new location. Go back and think about it again.
@pissedofffranchisee Obviously, you'd relocate them to somewhere they can adapt to, not inhabited with a significant amount of people & away from farms. And when they are more concentrated in an area, competing for food and territory will come first and downsize the population. Especially, if done during the hot season. Then there will be less to breed during the wet season.
@abcdefwoo1234 So where is this magical place? you do know they can travel large distances don't you, just depends on what their needs are ie food, water, shelter etc, the other thing is how to you catch them? and what are the costs involved in doing so? You will find most of Australia is either farm land, residential/city with some National Parks etc as well, I'll be interested to see where this place is.
@pissedofffranchisee Apparently, since most of Australia has been turned into either "farm land or residential/city it is obvious now that the animals may actually have no where to go because of the sprawl of humans and human practices into their normal habitat over the last hundred years. And of course, all of the farmed animals are introduced. And that brings up the whole fact that humans do not need to be producing those animals at such a staggering rate in the first place...
@abcdefwoo1234 You still haven't answered my question - Where are you proposing to send these roos and how do you propose to capture them all and at what cost to the tax payer?
@pissedofffranchisee I conceded that part of the discussion when I said there may not be a place due to decreased habitat. And all of these other animals you listed are not native, including the deer. Not that I have no compassion towards them, but they are harming the stability of the ecosystem processes & taking space and food from the native species. As for the cats, altering of companion animals to not reproduce helps to combat the stray population. Once again, humans need to be responsible.
@abcdefwoo1234 Fair enough, nice having a chat to you, and I too agree that the feral species also need to be culled to control the population and the damage they inevitably do, I also agree with iresponsible owners of pets - they need to take responsiblity for the damage their once belovered pets are now doing to our native fauna.
@pissedofffranchisee By the way, feral pigs are not a native to Australia. They were introduce with European settlers as domesticated pigs, just like the feral pigs in the U.S.A. were. Not really comparable to a native species like the kangaroos in this subject.
@abcdefwoo1234 Yes I know where the feral pigs have come from just pointing out they also are a huge problem in Australia and breed like wildfire as well. Any suggestions on how to control them as well before they become a problem, also Deer are become more and more of a problem any suggestions on how to fix that one as well, not to mention idiots who own cats that go feral and are now common and cause problems in outback Australia, as a matter of fact I shot one the other night.
Another white person who is racist against their own kind. I notice when you speak of invading and killing indigenous population you immediately refer to "white supremacists" as if this type of thing didn't happened a couple of hundred years ago, or that no other races did the same thing like the "browns" in south and central America, or the Arabs in north Africa, or the Japanese in China. You are a product of the social revolution and ultimately it's victim.
You are a big hypocrite. Saying 'live and let live' yet you come and tell Shelley to stop making 'stupid pointless videos' and me to 'stop wasting time'. That's telling us what to do. You're nothing but a troll.
@PlanetFailure Omg you're STILL here on a video made by a pro vegan vlogger... I came here originally because I'm subscribed to Shell123ey and I'm encouraging her all the way in spreading the vegan message and I love the way she does it! You're nothing but a troll, find something else to do.
@PlanetFailure Blocked from my video and future videos and my page. Go back to sleep then! and stop wasting your time talking to vegans. We'd rather focus on people with an open mind.
@PlanetFailure Haha your view of reality is so warped its not funny. You consume the suffering and death of innocent beings regularly, you enjoy it and you support a practice which is raping the environment, and takes away huge amounts of potential food from starving people. I'm just stating facts but you get nasty and deliver the same old tired rhetoric to defend your cruelty. I've heard all these arguments a thousand times! LOL go back to sleep!
@PlanetFailure Haha, can't have a debate without resorting to personal insults?... You are on a vegan video by the way, you came to us, Shelley doesn't have to allow your opinions to be made public but still does, if it were my video I would block you... Just because your opinion doesn't change, doesn't mean others won't. Numerous people were once meat eaters and turned veg, I am one of them. I wised up to the facts of the matter. No denying the veg population keeps growing!! Veg pride!!
@PlanetFailure They're profiting off others pain so I'd hardly feel sorry for the loss of those jobs. But they could simply change their occupation. Instead of raising animals, grow vegetables.
@PlanetFailure Yeah ok then, I guess we should just a turn a blind eye to all the farmers driven off their land by factory farming (even a concern for animal farmers too as well as crop farmers) and we should just ignore the fact that poor people are starving while we feed corn/grains/soy etc to billions of animals that they could be eating instead if we stopped raising animals. Yes that's really letting others live. Yeah I guess your right, let's not pick on the over fed, selfish omnivores :D..
@PlanetFailure Indeed that's the way vegans live! We live and we let others live to even those of a different species unlike those who murder for their meal.
@PlanetFailure Usually I'm just stating facts not opinions. FACT animals are treated badly, FACT animal products do contribute greatly to environmental destruction, FACT you do not need animal products to be healthy, FACT animal agriculture diverts away enormous amounts of corn and grains etc from the 100's of millions upon billions of people in the world who are starving. I need not defend a lifestyle that causes no harm, the only person to be held to account is the one causing harm.
@PlanetFailure We only need to convince enough people to start a genuine political movement and campaign for animal rights. If the population of vegans and meat eaters wasn't so heavily skewed in favour of meat eaters in western countries, then vegans fight for the rights of animals, the environment and the poor would be much stronger than it is now. Even just getting up to 5 or 10% of population would create great pressure on this omnivorous society. We speak on behalf of those with no voice!
what australians kill kangoroos!! that would be like an american killing an eagle! or a canadian killing a moose!! (or....okay i can't think of any other stereotypes). oh wait we do kill moose(mece? mooses? mouse? why does nobody know the plural of moose?).
anyways kangoroos are really bouncy looking and thats why I think they should all be murdered.
@PlanetFailure 1. WTF I'm vegan I don't pay people to torture animals for my pleasure... 2. That's nice... your slowly poisoning yourself with your diet. 3. That's your opinion that it will never happen, if people start to care more about their health, the planet and not objectifying animals as things for humans to use then it could happen even if it takes centuries or millenia. 4. I'm not edgy, you came to a animal rights video, I'm vegan, I speak my truth and I don't apologise for that!
@PlanetFailure 1. Yes I wouldn't expect anything less from a nasty piece of work like you 2. I find being vegan prevents alot of the problems that make people sick in the first place, I can attest to that personally 3. I donate a substantial amount of money each year to homeless people, so that cracks your baseless belief that people who care about animal rights don't care about humans as well.
@PlanetFailure "They're animals."- This is the problem... The valuation of a different species as inferior because it is different. The valuation of difference from the familiar as inferior. It is the suppression and oppression of the weak because the weak cannot fight back and cannot protest against their treatment.
@PlanetFailure She's a vegan and against all animal cruelty and exploitation. She is educating people and IS making a difference. TOGETHER we'll make a difference, one step at a time! We cannot be silenced!
i've never heard of this before (i live in germany...) i'm so sad and angry right now :( but thank you for posting this! i'm going to go shopping for new sports shoes tomorrow and now i'll definitely watch out for what they're made of before buying... in no way i want to support this slaughter!
I <3 Kangaroos & it makes me sick 2 see someone doing such things. I live in the American country & we do the same thing 2 deer. WHY!!!??? I don't understand what pleasure could come from killing another creature.
i dont support the illegal shooting of wildlife, the vast majority of shooters behave ethically and treat game humanely (myself included) yes there are idiot cowboys out there that give shooters a bad name. I do not kill animals for enjoyment, i shoot to keep foxes and other harmfuls away from my stock, roos my not be a predator but they do use up feed and watering supplies and damaging costly fences. you could make the same vid about the beef, lamb industry. Meat does come from somewhere
This is totally revolting! Runied my day... yes grown men do cry when they see shit like this happening to wild native species and offspring. This cannot be unseen. What the hell is wrong with the govenment of Australia and the murderers in the video? Lovely lessons they're teaching their own kids. Curse of 10,000 bullet ants on them!!
@cheyanne0407 no such thing gun back firing! I look forward to shooting some as pig bait in a few weeks time! Nothing better than a rotting kangaroo corpse to attract the piggy's! Maybe I'll see you there cheyanne!
This is horrible. Although I'm not Australian I am from America and over here we treat Deer like that. I live right by the woods and can here the gun shots. It's awful.
Awesome vid. Couldn't stop laughing at the head stomping part. It's inspired us to start planning our next hunting trip. This time we'll take a camera and try to better this vid.
Anyone who has ever had a pet will recognise that thier pet was different from the other pets and all the other dogs, cats, rats, mice, guineas.. once You acknowledge this You are accepting that animal was an individual! once You accept that animal is an individual You must then think about the infinate vastness of the universe, now think about the infinite improbability of Your existence ! so what makes any other individual any less deserving? because it looks different? thumbsup if you getit

Shelly, Shelly, Shelly you used the same video as used by all against the Kangaroo industry not one new piece of video just the same old stuff Shelly the bloke in the blue overalls that part of the video was new it also is from the Game Meat Handling and Hygenie course run through Tafe NSW the same course which is 1 part of becoming a quilified roo harvester so does this mean you support the humane harvesting of roos by quilified roo harvesters?
@rooharvester By her statement "Stop killing natives!" I do not believe she supports anyone killing kangaroos. Your qualifications to kill don't mean a thing with a statement like that.
I find it hard to believe that trialsisno1 can be a member of sea shepard and whale protection yet chooses to vioce this rubbish..... stop and think about your actions and what you are projection before you loosly play with the type writer. You sound like a blockhead and as an australian you DO NOT speak for me. Did you watch the video before making your remark Trial...
Killing anything for enjoyment is a crime, and the worst thing anybody could ever do. Its not a matter of survival. If hunting is a sport the serial killers are sports men!
I absolutely love this video. Good for you. I really tire of pathetic defenses toward the senseless killing of animals. Over-population? Humans are the leading over-populated species. Destruction of property and resource? Human again. Pest control? Humans have closer characteristics to the definition of a pest than anything else on earth and we come built with the arrogance that we get to choose what lives and what dies simply because we have an astute consciousness and an opposable thumb
I LIVE IN THE OUTBACK. I know how it's done out here. Yes. Lots of people like to shoot stuff. But just because someone LIKES doing something, that DOESN'T make doing it okay. It's still detestably heinous because there is an unconsenting victim involved.
If two consenting parties are enjoying themselves, there is no crime. But when there is one party opposed to participating, THAT'S when the action becomes something WRONG. That's when sex becomes rape, and THAT'S when an "enjoyable activity" becomes something we shouldn't do when we're bored.
@Shell123ey I don't get you... HOW DOES RAPE COME INTO HUNTING KANGAROOS? then in part 2 you jump to commercial roo killing make up your mind rape or roo hunting geez lol
@JRBarrr She was probably raped or something which is why she's a hyper-sensitive social reject with obsessive-compulsive thoughts about animals being tortured.
In other words, all these PETA types use this shit as a distraction from whatever personal issues they have.
@762Fanatic Wow, you seem to understand a lot about people. Yes there's an obvious connection between being raped and caring about animals. It sounds really logical, because sociopaths are also probably the happiest and healthiest people out there.
We're all very impressed by your great sign of intelligence here. I mean, it's easy to take someone seriously who plays soldier in the snow.
Commercial roo killing is not just 'hunting'. Nor is Government culling.. rounding roos up and shooting them in pens. THAT'S not hunting. That's slaughter of natives for no logical reason. If you disagree, FIND ME A LEGITIMATE REASON WHY ROOS MUST BE KILLED LIKE THAT, AND IN SUCH MASS NUMBERS.
@trialsisno1 I am a gun owner and I call that nothing more than slaughter. I don't have a problem with hunting for food but to simply kill is sinful. Like the massacring of hundreds of thousands of Bison in the American West. We are stewards of our environment (planet Earth) and if we do not manage it properly we will in turn be extinct.
OK really Shelly, that was horrible.. I truly feel ill. But whether I like it or not the truth is the truth. I didnt even know sneakers were made from kangaroos!!! We (humans) mess every damn thing up!!!
This is an excellent video thank you Shelley. There is only one way to stop this mindless greed and total lack of concern for these sentient beings. STOP buying kangaroo meat and products made from kangaroo skin, namely sports footwear!
Sign our petitions to have the meat and associated products banned from EU. Take away the "want" and the industry fails. Without a market there is no point in shooting.
As Steve Irwin said, "DO NOT BUY KANGAROO PRODUCTS!" Sign up against this trade.
@UraniumMan no offence mate, but i think the United States wrote the book on pointlessly slaughtering wildlife i.e buffalo, sad to think it still happens today in any part of the world though,
Hunters suck the world over. Here in the US Sara Palin shoots wolves from helicopters and deer hunters inflate the deer population so they have an excuse to shoot them. They kill people in hunting accidents and rarely go to jail
I thought I have seen it all. This is so sad I can't believe they would just kill the mom like that and take her baby. This is just wrong!!! I learn so much from all of your videos. Thanks
It's sickening that the Kangaroo is on the coat of arms and a symbol of Australia yet we treat them in such horrifying ways. When will people make the connection?
This girl aint had no dick a in looonnnggg time.

We had a young girl attacked by a Kangaroo the other day, not nice to see a young child being attacked by a roo. There was a lady the other day that had her leg amputated after she swearved to miss a kangaroo on the road, she nearly died. Kangaroos are definately a problem in some parts of Australia.

Not sure if you realised, but kangaroos can jump over walls.
TheFirearmEnthusiast 2 months ago
@TheFirearmEnthusiast And building even taller walls isn't an option? Nope, of course not. Instead we must shoot the poor bastards. Just like we shoot people who we think might rob us...wait...
abcdefwoo1234 1 month ago in playlist More videos from Shell123ey
@abcdefwoo1234 Shoot people who might rob us? Where did you get that from?
In some countries and states you can kill people who attack you because property can be somones livelyhood.
There are many kangaroos here, it's much more efficient to shoot them when they come onto your property. Fences cost a lot of money to make and maintain especially for people with big properties, like farmers.
TheFirearmEnthusiast 1 month ago
@TheFirearmEnthusiast It was a simple comparison.
And if done during the hot/dry season, there will be less to breed during the wet season.
abcdefwoo1234 1 month ago
@abcdefwoo1234 I don't have a problem with your idea, but it costs a fair bit to relocate them. Hunters these days have to pass accuracy and ethics tests before they can hunt. They do the job for free too.
TheFirearmEnthusiast 1 month ago
@TheFirearmEnthusiast Maybe people/organizations could volunteer for catcher training and volunteer vehicles for transport. I obviously don't have all the answers. It's not that simple This is a complex thing to deal with. I just think this would be worth considering. For instance, I may not know where these animals could be transported to, but others may have studied their habitat well enough to find somewhere suitable for both the kangaroos and the cause.

@BeingKindCom LOL - their only Roos love, we got that bloody many of the things I'm either shooting them or running them over in the car on the way to the Vegie shop! (they have a habit or running out in front of the car!! Maybe their suicidal - that's why we call em suicidal skippies!
pissedofffranchisee 3 months ago
@pissedofffranchisee yuck, that sounds sad...and like there is an overpopulation problem. I just wish there was more humane way of coexisting that didn't involve cruelty.
BeingKindCom 3 months ago
@BeingKindCom Yes it definately is an overpopulation of Roos in certain areas of Aus. Shooting them is about the most humane way of controlling them. They have been poisoned but that is just cruel, a bullet to the head is instant and most cost effective way so far. We have a very very large country with a huge feral animal problem. We even have feral Deer running around in Brisbane Australia causing issues with cars etc and endangering life etc, roos as well. Kangaroos will never be exstinct.
pissedofffranchisee 3 months ago
@pissedofffranchisee yow, I didn't know it was that big of an issue. And yes, poisoning is a long slow painful death. I am over in the PNW (Seattle area) and people here have the same feelings towards deer. Too bad that the government won't step in and do something. Are there any spay/neuter clinics helping? I appreciate you being willing to talk about this :)!
BeingKindCom 3 months ago
@BeingKindCom We have had a big wet season and what usually happens after that is a massive increase in the breeding cycle of all the feral species, conseqently this causes issues of all sorts with farming and city life etc, some areas are abviously more affected than others. Spay/Neuter Clinics - None that I am aware of? But it would be impossible to impliment I feel, we have over 25mil roos and around 20mill feral pigs let alone goats, rabbits, foxes, deer, horses, camels, donkeys, crocs, bats
pissedofffranchisee 3 months ago
@pissedofffranchisee And don't forget the 22.8 million humans living there. :D But of course, being the most powerful species, we separate ourselves from these population control killings. When animals over populate more then the environment can hold for what ever reason, we use it to justify killing them. When humans over populate, we go go, "Oh, aren't children just a gift!" Never mind the fact there are 7 billion of us now. WAY more than any other mammal (or primate) in the wild.
abcdefwoo1234 1 month ago in playlist More videos from Shell123ey
@abcdefwoo1234 Maybe you should lead by example if you feel us human are evil and over populating? Kangaroos are a problem, but I guess you wouldn't realise that sitting around the latte lounge talking BS with the other tree huggers. They need to be culled or else we are going to have huge problems growing the crops you lot depend on to eat.
pissedofffranchisee 1 month ago
@pissedofffranchisee You assume a lot about me. I never said we're evil. Mostly I implied that we aren't responsible enough with OUR effects on the environment, yet we punish other species for the same offense. If anything, WE should lower OUR populations. And I fully intend to adopt instead of birthing new kids into the world. We are a problem right now, but we also shouldn't be killed for it. Non-violent solutions are always available with situations such as this. Culling? Why not relocation?
abcdefwoo1234 1 month ago
@abcdefwoo1234 Why not relocation? Well how will that stop the over population of any species? they are still capable of breeding aren't they, all you have done is spread the problem to another site creating a problem for someone else in the long run. So if we collect a heap of feral pigs and put them somewhere else how will that fix the problem? you now have feral pigs in 2 locations one where they were originally a problem and now a problem in a new location. Go back and think about it again.
pissedofffranchisee 1 month ago
@pissedofffranchisee Obviously, you'd relocate them to somewhere they can adapt to, not inhabited with a significant amount of people & away from farms. And when they are more concentrated in an area, competing for food and territory will come first and downsize the population. Especially, if done during the hot season. Then there will be less to breed during the wet season.
abcdefwoo1234 1 month ago
@abcdefwoo1234 So where is this magical place? you do know they can travel large distances don't you, just depends on what their needs are ie food, water, shelter etc, the other thing is how to you catch them? and what are the costs involved in doing so? You will find most of Australia is either farm land, residential/city with some National Parks etc as well, I'll be interested to see where this place is.
pissedofffranchisee 1 month ago
@pissedofffranchisee Apparently, since most of Australia has been turned into either "farm land or residential/city it is obvious now that the animals may actually have no where to go because of the sprawl of humans and human practices into their normal habitat over the last hundred years. And of course, all of the farmed animals are introduced. And that brings up the whole fact that humans do not need to be producing those animals at such a staggering rate in the first place...
abcdefwoo1234 1 month ago in playlist More videos from Shell123ey
@abcdefwoo1234 You still haven't answered my question - Where are you proposing to send these roos and how do you propose to capture them all and at what cost to the tax payer?
pissedofffranchisee 1 month ago
@pissedofffranchisee I conceded that part of the discussion when I said there may not be a place due to decreased habitat. And all of these other animals you listed are not native, including the deer. Not that I have no compassion towards them, but they are harming the stability of the ecosystem processes & taking space and food from the native species. As for the cats, altering of companion animals to not reproduce helps to combat the stray population. Once again, humans need to be responsible.
abcdefwoo1234 1 month ago
@abcdefwoo1234 Fair enough, nice having a chat to you, and I too agree that the feral species also need to be culled to control the population and the damage they inevitably do, I also agree with iresponsible owners of pets - they need to take responsiblity for the damage their once belovered pets are now doing to our native fauna.
pissedofffranchisee 1 month ago
@pissedofffranchisee By the way, feral pigs are not a native to Australia. They were introduce with European settlers as domesticated pigs, just like the feral pigs in the U.S.A. were. Not really comparable to a native species like the kangaroos in this subject.
abcdefwoo1234 1 month ago in playlist More videos from Shell123ey
@abcdefwoo1234 Yes I know where the feral pigs have come from just pointing out they also are a huge problem in Australia and breed like wildfire as well. Any suggestions on how to control them as well before they become a problem, also Deer are become more and more of a problem any suggestions on how to fix that one as well, not to mention idiots who own cats that go feral and are now common and cause problems in outback Australia, as a matter of fact I shot one the other night.

MrVeggieman11 4 months ago
@PlanetFailure Haha, can't have a debate without resorting to personal insults?... You are on a vegan video by the way, you came to us, Shelley doesn't have to allow your opinions to be made public but still does, if it were my video I would block you... Just because your opinion doesn't change, doesn't mean others won't. Numerous people were once meat eaters and turned veg, I am one of them. I wised up to the facts of the matter. No denying the veg population keeps growing!! Veg pride!!
MrVeggieman11 4 months ago
@PlanetFailure They're profiting off others pain so I'd hardly feel sorry for the loss of those jobs. But they could simply change their occupation. Instead of raising animals, grow vegetables.
MrVeggieman11 4 months ago
@PlanetFailure Yeah ok then, I guess we should just a turn a blind eye to all the farmers driven off their land by factory farming (even a concern for animal farmers too as well as crop farmers) and we should just ignore the fact that poor people are starving while we feed corn/grains/soy etc to billions of animals that they could be eating instead if we stopped raising animals. Yes that's really letting others live. Yeah I guess your right, let's not pick on the over fed, selfish omnivores :D..
MrVeggieman11 4 months ago
@PlanetFailure Indeed that's the way vegans live! We live and we let others live to even those of a different species unlike those who murder for their meal.
MrVeggieman11 4 months ago
@PlanetFailure Usually I'm just stating facts not opinions. FACT animals are treated badly, FACT animal products do contribute greatly to environmental destruction, FACT you do not need animal products to be healthy, FACT animal agriculture diverts away enormous amounts of corn and grains etc from the 100's of millions upon billions of people in the world who are starving. I need not defend a lifestyle that causes no harm, the only person to be held to account is the one causing harm.
MrVeggieman11 4 months ago
Since when are you the unquestionable master of morality?
wilosaur 4 months ago
@PlanetFailure We only need to convince enough people to start a genuine political movement and campaign for animal rights. If the population of vegans and meat eaters wasn't so heavily skewed in favour of meat eaters in western countries, then vegans fight for the rights of animals, the environment and the poor would be much stronger than it is now. Even just getting up to 5 or 10% of population would create great pressure on this omnivorous society. We speak on behalf of those with no voice!
MrVeggieman11 4 months ago
what australians kill kangoroos!! that would be like an american killing an eagle! or a canadian killing a moose!!

MrVeggieman11 4 months ago
@PlanetFailure 1. Yes I wouldn't expect anything less from a nasty piece of work like you 2. I find being vegan prevents alot of the problems that make people sick in the first place, I can attest to that personally 3. I donate a substantial amount of money each year to homeless people, so that cracks your baseless belief that people who care about animal rights don't care about humans as well.
MrVeggieman11 4 months ago
@PlanetFailure "They're animals."- This is the problem... The valuation of a different species as inferior because it is different. The valuation of difference from the familiar as inferior. It is the suppression and oppression of the weak because the weak cannot fight back and cannot protest against their treatment.
In short it's called 'speciesism'.

Just like the difference between sex and rape.
If two consenting parties are enjoying themselves, there is no crime. But when there is one party opposed to participating, THAT'S when the action becomes something WRONG. That's when sex becomes rape, and THAT'S when an "enjoyable activity" becomes something we shouldn't do when we're bored.
