  • where is vaiphei live in Mizoram or ????? because my grandmother is also vaiphei, your languages is not tedim not mizo please some one explain me.

  • @Tahanval2007: Vaipheis are mainly found in Manipur together with their brethren Thadous, and on the border of Indo-Burma which is Tamu township together with Thadous, Zous and Gangtes. Yes, Vaiphei is mainly a branch of Thadou lingo (what's called "Henu-Hepa" dialect) and they cannot be separated with Thadous linguistically, historically and traditionally since Vaipheis, small in number, have been always staying together with Thadous who are large in number. Consequently,

  • Consequently, their lingo is mainly derived from Thadou and as a very small percent, Mizo (Duhlian) is adopted esp. words like "Lalpa" and the like which are primarily religious terms.
