Not bad, but there's two issues here. One: You've got no cooling to the engine, which will make it run hot and mess up your tune. Two: It looks like that car's five seconds from leaping off the thing, doesn't seem solid.
@TestECull Yeah I have a fan for when Its done properly...this is just a "show video". The car can't go forward or backwards as there are metal "barriers" stopping it and the elastic bands stop it falling off the side.
I think this is a great Idea I've tried using a box that held up the chassis but this I think would be a much better way to do it it's just not the same without the rolling resistance. Bravo to you.
@TheHaywiremav i have the same thing and it just has the .15 engine electric start and it only starts when the planets are allighned right haha, but everything has to be perfect for it to start
@laurieh i would worry from what i can see its off ur engine and when it smokes its wayyyyyyy how aybe cos ur not moving no air goin thrugh the head???
he is right a dyno has a dynometer and is used to set up gear shifting nd shit a rolling road is for setting up fueling as with model trains they are used to set up sound and shit
@plejmo7, Yes I know people call it the same thing but this doesn't have a dynometer so isn't a dyno, its a rolling road, what else is there to call it?
Thats why its called a rolling road, people look at it because they are interested, thats why you click on a video, so over 13000 people accidentially clicked on this vid?
Oh right, the metal bit there is actually just so the car doesn't fall off the blue wheels as when I put it on the blue wheels it either falls backwards or forwards, its not holding it down in anyway, just keeping it on the rollers.

ooh looks like ur burning the clutch just to get those rollers moving!, I would suggest maybe putting the roller shafts on bearings??
bloodreighn 1 year ago
@bloodreighn The smoke at the end was just something (probably fuel) burning off the hot exhaust, nothing to worry about.

drift car..... i like... i have a redcat aero supra from hpi... its sick but its electric... it goes like 25 though
MrSupra95 2 years ago
I should make a treadmill for my r/c car... I think it's putting on a few pounds....LOL!
Did it work to set your fueling right?
heli400 2 years ago 3
@heli400 Yeah I got higher percentage fuel so could turn the fuelling down more as better fuel = less heat too so could make it leaner.

coconutdrops 2 years ago
yeah, and the point is? you don't get any readings of horsepower and so on, which is the point of a dyno if I'm not totally mistaken. lol
plejmo7 2 years ago
Its a rolling fucking road, not a dyno.
For the last time, Its to set the fuelling!!!!!!!!!!!
laurieh 2 years ago 2
i think you got your names wrong, a rolling road is another word for dyno..
plejmo7 2 years ago
@plejmo7, Yes I know people call it the same thing but this doesn't have a dynometer so isn't a dyno, its a rolling road, what else is there to call it?

who knows :P

do u ever drive it
Cjayjonez 2 years ago
yes, read the info on the right why I made the video!!!!!!
laurieh 2 years ago
pointless video
pentiumdoz 2 years ago
why?
laurieh 2 years ago
From the info panel on the right:
"I made a home made r/c car rolling road to set the fuelling accuratly (it's hard when the car is driving at 30mph odd)"
(Assuming you know how to read, of course)
hairyalien 2 years ago
Try putting it on the ground
WhiteBrownYellow 2 years ago
What?
laurieh 2 years ago
fucking drive it...
WhiteBrownYellow 2 years ago
What the fuck do you think I do with it? keep it on the rollers for hours.
laurieh 2 years ago
who wants to see it just sit there on your fucking table.
WhiteBrownYellow 2 years ago
What table?
Thats why its called a rolling road, people look at it because they are interested, thats why you click on a video, so over 13000 people accidentially clicked on this vid?
laurieh 2 years ago
Nope, sounds normal to me.
Laofse 2 years ago
its not really a dyno if it doesnt tell u how much power it makes
tomasthegroovy 2 years ago
suppose so actually, its a rolling road then.
laurieh 2 years ago
you should have some type of fan or constant blow of wind on it to keep your engine from overheating.
theqman13 2 years ago
I have a fan for longer runs.

Is that air filter stock ?
Looks nice Lol

this is a very bad idea no air going over the heat sink which aint good
cod4madass 3 years ago
yeah I've thought about that, I don't run it that long, I have a fan for longer runs.
laurieh 2 years ago
don't let the engine get 2 hot when i do something like this i douse the engine with nitro fuel but it is an expensive way :(
bullittube 3 years ago
You put fuel on your hot engine to cool it?
laurieh 3 years ago
yes it will not light at the temps the engine gets 2
bullittube 2 years ago
yeah it was more the oil in the fuel burning itself to the engine leaving black stuff everywhere, i was thinking.
laurieh 2 years ago
Hold it back with that piece of metal could strain your engine. You should design it so the car doesnt need any restraint.
GrateGenin 3 years ago
I don't see why putting a restraint on it would put strain the engine?
laurieh 3 years ago
Think of it this way. Your car would go too fast and jump off the dyno if there wasn't that metal restraint there right?
It's the same thing as holding back your r/c car to let it burn out or something.
GrateGenin 3 years ago
Oh right, the metal bit there is actually just so the car doesn't fall off the blue wheels as when I put it on the blue wheels it either falls backwards or forwards, its not holding it down in anyway, just keeping it on the rollers.

Fine....it's a rolling road LOL
laurieh 3 years ago
Hi, can you tell me how to made one dyno like your's?
wanmrox 3 years ago
It was easy just got some old mechano and just built it as i went, also some big elastic bands to keep it from falling off.
laurieh 3 years ago
