@MusiicRoolz I think Elena does love him for who he is. She just hasn't been able to come to terms with that yet because she feels like she owes Stefan a chance. She feels guilty just like Damon does and she is trying to do the right thing.  I think most people in her position would be just as confused, maybe more so.

this song is always used in the most BAD ASS moments in TV. Remember Walter White telling those amateur meth cookers that the ABQ was HIS TURF and that they should leave before he finds them?! Now Damon's here giving an Emmy worthy performance full of raw emotion, pain and heartbreak. This moment defined whether he was going to prove to himself if he could be a good guy or is he just a bad guy. Could he change? So powerful. Loved it. He's also such a pretty crier!! One of the things that makes me believe Damon and Elena are meant to be together is that their characters are different. And now, she starts to fell in love with the guy she didn't like. Damon has done many things to elena -either bad or good. Stefan is just the guy elena wants. So stelena is easy, but DELENA is hard and more special. That's why I LOVE DELENA <3

No, I get what you mean about Damon, and by this point I don't think there is a single person that can hate him (other than because Elena might end up with him), but I want someone better than Elena for him. For Damon I want someone that can put him in his place when he's being an ass and not just give him the silent treatment. To people that say this is a foreshadowing to fans that a Damon/Elena relationship can't work you are so wrong! It seems like Damon has changed and the writers are going in the direction smith was going in before the series was turned over to a ghost writer. Which was a delena end game. In the books Damon becomes a human and then dies then it is assumed that he is reborn again. Then in comes the ghost writer. I love this couple so much. I think it will eventually work out :)

i love this scene because it foreshadows that an elena/damon relationship will not last. he says it himself that he can't be the man elena wants him to be. he is a supernatural born killer with a thirst for human blood and he can't help it. so to all the elena/damon relationship fans please enjoy season 3 because it is not going to last! i look forward to damon's realization and finally gets over his misplaced obsession with elena. and this can't be fun for ian playing the tamed damon.

Most people eat meat, which some view as murder, but because it's natural and necessary to survive, it is not widely frowned upon. Most vampires wouldn't think twice about him killing her. The fact that he hesitates at all speaks volumes about how good he really is at heart. He WANTS to be human and he WANTS to be good. It's just not what comes naturally to him. But the important thing is he tries.
