Driveshaft? Its a front wheel drive car. Lifting a car like that does no more damage than lifting it with a floor jack. Get a clue and then come talk to the pros.

This may surprise you, but I do believe you. Some reality shows are fictional and others acted out to some degree. So I'm not surprised that Operation Repo is fictional. It's still a form of entertainment. You can tell some of it is acting though.

The victim is the "owner" of the car. If you had a balance on it, it doesn't belong to you. It belongs to whomever you were paying your bills to. What makes them a victim is that the borrower skipped out and ran away. Do I really have to explain this?
So if we use your logic then we must assume that all Americans caught up in the housing crisis that have defaulted on their mortgages are criminals. Why don't they get arrested? Should we put them on probation? Put them in jail? Do they get a jury trial? Did your parents teach you this?
I think in the case of defaulting on vehicle payments is if you can't make the payments, come clean with the bank. Try and work something out with them if you can. If you can't, it's tough luck, you have to give up the car. The bank owns it. Same with housing. Yeah it sucks, but some mortgages are just plain risky. It a risk people take. If the banks can't be paid back, they have a legal right to take back their property. Ducking, hiding and providing misinformation is fraud.
If you can't pay up that's one thing. But deceiving the bank and/ or authorities to avoid getting caught is where it becomes criminal. In that case, they get a jury.
In Our town LONG BEACH, Ca 2 repo men were killed last year & a couple of months back someone drove buy & sprayed the front office with 9 mil during bizness hours!!!

do what my mate steve did... buy new numberplates, but tell the motor registry when you pick them up, that they're a gift for someone elses car, then give your bank an old address, then do the same for the motor registry and voila! you have no more repo on your ass... and, by the way, if you work in a shopping centre like him, they won't allow tow trucks into the carpark if they're repossessing a vehicle...
the correct way is to call a rollback or sling truck in....... but if in a pinch you can pop the linkage or pull the drive shaft...... or just drag it to a safe location and then call your rollback in

1: Change your plate.. This is easy and cheap to do! #2 Take a peace of Duck tape "Cover up your vin in the windsheld... #3: Peal off the vin number inside the drivers door jam! 4: Change your phone number to a unlisted number!
5: If someone calls u don't knwo Hang up right away. 6: if u get anything in the mail.. like a pen or other small device. Get rid of it asap "Its a repo tracking device

Heres my tip on how to get these motherfucka repo jerks away from you. and u would never have to worry about your car being repo. 1st go to a Junk Yard and pull a vin number off a same junk model and put it on your car and steal a sticker from a different dealer and put it on your car. It worked for me for 4 years and only made 2 payments to get it. How sweet!

Really, there is no real way to repossess an AWD vehicle using this type of lift shown in the video quickly. You'd have to put dollies under it, which are EXTREMELY unsafe! And it isn't a very easy thing to do! So, a sling lift is really almost better for repossessing an AWD vehicle.=]

That Vulcan 810 is PERFECT for forklifting out cars. The reach is so damn good! If you have a Vulcan and haven't tried this method yet, then you definitely need to. I'm 14 and even I know how to forklift cars out with a Dynamic, or a Vulcan.
I've been dragging out cars with the chain to the front of the truck method for 3 years, but would never have tried almost forklifting a car to get at the drive wheels. But the next POS ford tempo I have to grab I'm gonna try that method if positioning permits. That was cool but gutsy as hell . Rockers are'nt cheap!
Just popped one the other night the same way, Saturn L200 in an apartment complex. It is a great technique, if you can get to the side. Unfortunately for us, that is rarely the case. Almost always something beside it and have to do the ole drag it and spin it. Really smooth on the controls, too. A lot of guys that I have seen try this end up hitting the rocker panels.

Good mastery of self-loader skills. Do you know you can do a "reverse grab" to drag it out - Hit the front tires at a 90 BEHIND the front wheels and hook it like normal, pull it around and then do the drop and swap......

Heres my tip on how to get these motherfucka repo jerks away from you. and u would never have to worry about your car being repo. 1st go to a Junk Yard and pull a vin number off a same junk model and put it on your car and steal a sticker from a different dealer and put it on your car. It worked for me for 4 years and only made 2 payments to get it. How sweet!

HMMM ok to me this looks staged.. For one NICE WORK on the HOOK, Any good recovery agent with atleas a year under his belt could hook like that, #2 didnt you forget to chk the VIN??? Last but not least this repo must be a first payment default as it still has the dealership ad plates in the front!! Hey my car got repoed, and the driver didn't have it hooked very good on his truck and lost my car going 70 down the interstate, I didn't find out about this till two days later when i went to get my car back, needless to say I have a new car now, THANKS HEARTLAND TOWING IN OMAHA!!!!

Really, there is no real way to repossess an AWD vehicle using this type of lift shown in the video quickly. You'd have to put dollies under it, which are EXTREMELY unsafe! And it isn't a very easy thing to do! So, a sling lift is really almost better for repossessing an AWD vehicle.=]

I think you are seriously exaggerating on your number of cars pulled in 2007. In order to have numbers like that, you would have had to pull 5 cars a day for 365 days! BULLSHIT! I will assume you work for a company and are not an owner, I will also assume that you use thier truck.. So industry standard is approx 100.00 to the driver for a involuntary and 50.00 for a Voluntary. So you claim to made 200k last year?? BWAHHAAHAHAHA

That Vulcan 810 is PERFECT for forklifting out cars. The reach is so damn good! If you have a Vulcan and haven't tried this method yet, then you definitely need to. I'm 14 and even I know how to forklift cars out with a Dynamic, or a Vulcan.

I've been dragging out cars with the chain to the front of the truck method for 3 years, but would never have tried almost forklifting a car to get at the drive wheels. But the next POS ford tempo I have to grab I'm gonna try that method if positioning permits. That was cool but gutsy as hell . Rockers are'nt cheap!

Just popped one the other night the same way, Saturn L200 in an apartment complex. It is a great technique, if you can get to the side. Unfortunately for us, that is rarely the case. Almost always something beside it and have to do the ole drag it and spin it. Really smooth on the controls, too. A lot of guys that I have seen try this end up hitting the rocker panels.

I personally use the drag cause I love the sound. But I really cant wait to try this one. And yes you do have to stop down the road and strap the tire, chain up and put on the lights. Then call it in to the police office. Not all fun work.

Good mastery of self-loader skills. Do you know you can do a "reverse grab" to drag it out - Hit the front tires at a 90 BEHIND the front wheels and hook it like normal, pull it around and then do the drop and swap......
