  • Do you know if I could transfer save files from Adobe Reader to a website? For example, I downloaded SCGMD3, and I'm playing it with Adobe Reader. And, I want to transfer the save file to Kongregate. Is it possible?

  • @waynejunior9 yeah... playing it on your own machine should store the sol under localhost. then just move it to the appropriate location on kong.

  • @tasselfoot Alright. Thanks Tass!

  • Hey Tass. I transferred the file to my laptop using a Flash Drive.

I copied and pasted. But the save file didn't load.

Is there anything I have to do to make it load?

  • @zzzgohan as long as you're moving it to the correct location... it should work. however, some games have added preventative measures into their save files. things like lines of encryption that can tell you're playing from a different computer or location and make it not work. kind of sucks, but it does now happen from time to time.

  • Play Bloons Tower Defense 5 /watch?v=4YGzdF12qSs

  • Hey Tass. I've been playing Epic War 5 on Ubuntu and I want to move it to my Windows side. Is this possible? I can't seem to find the save file on Ubuntu.

  • uhhh i have windows 7 :(

  • so this was very informative but i have osx 10.7 lion. where would i find these files on this new os?

  • @ShelbyJ225 as far as i know, the location on mac os hasn't changed. should be the same as what's in the vid.

  • @tasselfoot it looks like some things had changed in the OS since this was made. after i go to Users/ME/there is no library... under the Library i don't have a Macromedia... not sure where to go from here but any help is helpful, lol.

  • @ShelbyJ225 i don't have a mac to check myself, but i don't see anything updated for mac os x through some googling. sorry.

  • Use Linux! It's better than Windows ;-)

  • Hey Tass, can you move the files to like a hard drive thing or move them somewhere else on the computer and not get them deleted when you clear all your cookies?

  • @Theredbox1000 of course. i back up my #sharedobjects folder regularly.

  • @tasselfoot no like I was thinking you meant like you would move your files to another place on your computer.

  • Ummm I Thought SOL Is A Test.. I Mean I Take A Test Called SOL..Freaky Right?

  • For windows users:

    Path for XP:%appdata%\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\

    Path for Vista: %appdata%\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\

    This is shorter.

Thumbs up so everybody can see this.

  • tass, did you use camtasia to film this video?

  • would this help for win 7 guys? C:\Users\****\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\XS2RUSEJ

  • Hey Tass, can I use a flash drive to take the file from one computer to another?

  • @charlie217009 of course.

  • what do i do with the file then? I put it on my flash disc and put it in my computer??

  • its sheamus

  • Cac you pleaze tell me a thing?... Because i download Flash to make games but... It lags SO much! Have you some ideas?

  • ok Tass, somehow I knew EXACTLY what you looked like JUST from seeing your walkthroughs!!! Kind of freaky (that I knew).

  • i am having a problem with transfering my gemcraft labrinth save file from armor games to knogregate i am using vista

  • @14yearoldasian Minecraft classic or Minecraft(the paid version) For paid version everything is stored in your %appdata%, just open documents and tpye %appdata% into your bar and click on .minecraft and go to save folder all worlds are in there

  • ummm yeah if you go to organize in windows vista you can show hidden files and folders there without going to control panel... yikes and you're supposed to be a expert...

  • u jelly?

  • where can i find users??? im not really good at these things

  • UHH PEOPLE USE WINDOWS 7 NOW RETARD

  • @kg6iif LOOK AT THE RELEASE DATE RETARD

  • @uut0 Windows 7 was out last year dipshit. LOL U MAD!!! :D PWN333T!!!

  • @kg6iif well,no i'm not mad,but i think you have some mental problems

  • @uut0 lol u mad :D

  • @kg6iif still not mad

  • @uut0 LUL U MAAAD

  • @kg6iif omg

  • It's Tasselfoot! Finally a face to the name. :D

  • Hi, Tass. Thanks for the upload. Now that I have my own computer, not run as Administrator, I can save game files to my flash drives, and move them. Thanks!

  • I don't know Gordon Freeman can talk :D

  • Ok I have a question I go to Flash Player can I take a save file from a site that doesn't exist anymore because owner of the site made it go bye bye please help D:

  • @GoldenAzan sure... i'd recommend copy and paste, instead of move. that way you keep your file on the old site and whatever new site you're moving it to.

  • He Tasselfoot, you are a great help in getting me through tough games. Thanks for that. Now if you could just get to work on "Platformation" in Addicting Games. A little man and small platforms (there seems to be two games with this name). I can't get past level 5 and there are no walkthroughs or cheats.

    Thanks

  • Hey man I got one thing to ask I pull up to the thingy (I use windows7 by the way) and I can't seem to find the "Flash Player" folder all that comes up is the Shockwave folder t you know what to do I'm sure you do so tell me.

  • Thanks alot, Tass now I can replay a game on newgrounds called 'One Chance' which I regret playing how i did :(

  • You look like a massive fag.

  • thx men this was very very helpful and informative been try to figure out this thing by my self...thx again...idk why 140 didnt like it

  • hi,

what do you use to do you video plz ?

I have to do the same kind of thing (with webcam+monitor in the video at the same time).

  • tasselfoot what is the file called for feudalism?

  • im running linux/ubuntu 10.10 on a dual boot with windows 7

  • Hey! Does this work on Totem Destroyer 2?

  • Will this work for minecraft? Because it runs on java not flash.

  • @14yearoldasian I highly doubt it... I don't play minecraft, so I am not sure how it works... but I suspect that any save data would be stored server-side, not local. Do you need to log in with an account? If so, it's stored server-side. Hell, is there any data to save at all? As I said... I know nothing about minecraft.

  • @14yearoldasian C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\saves

  • Dear tass,

    How about windows 7?

I run on that and i'd really like to know how to do it.

Btw thanks for telling me about mochigames.

    Pivot Opera

  • @PivotOpera Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Folder options

  • @gboisen9 thx

  • everything is more complicated and crappy on vista

  • Also: Kongregate uses "kongregate . com" for some games. Few of them, but remember to check that one too!

  • Comment removed

  • For those how cant find the appdata folder (Of those who use vista/win7): Search "Folder" from your Start panel(or whatever its called) and "Folderoptions will come up.

And to the same as tass. :)

  • can you tell me how on windows 7? windows vista and windows 7 are COMPLETELY different in control panel

  • @clonoffear No..

  • Comment removed

  • why are there so many thumb downs

  • Hey Tass, its me again xD

    I wanna transfer

DoodleGod, Crush the castle 2, Epic war 4 and EBF 3 (Again xD)

I wanna transfer them from Kongregate to Newgrounds

    Thx!

  • There isnt a path for windows vista home premium

  • Hey tass. How do YOU find out where the .sol files are located?

You just know or do you look for it, ?

Do you have any strategy for it?

  • @MsHackerNoob i've commented previously on the easy way to find them on Kongregate. I mostly play on Kong, so that is where I have most of my files. for other sites, I usually sort by date modified... the stuff that's been modified most recently is the games i've played most recently. from there, you usually can tell which game is which based on file name.

  • @tasselfoot Ahh, thanks Tass!

    Youre Awesome

  • Hey tass i want to transfer my sonny 2 armorgames save data onto kongregate but how exactly do i move it?

  • @echosealsix copy and paste. make sure you start and save a file on Kong, that way you have a file location on Kong; then just copy the file from armor and paste it on Kong to overwrite what you had. follow the steps in the video.

  • whats the folder name for Epic Battle Fantasy 3 and Epic War 4? Thx!

  • @Shakalaka35 EBF3 is in 0009/0613 on Kong. EW4 is 0008/6156. If you need it for another site, you should specify. :)

  • thanks man! i managed to get back my save file by restoring a previous version of the file. otherwise i would have lost everything!

  • Benjamin Fulford.

  • I've written some instructions for those who run Ubuntu Linux, who may not be too computer-savvy, for whatever reason. It's actually really simple.

    Go to Places>Home Folder.

Go to View>Show Hidden Files OR Ctrl+H

    Double-click the folder: .macromedia

    Double-click the folder: Flash_Player

Double-click the folder with random numbers and letters

And there you will find your files. Hope this helps some people.

  • WOOT Now that's awesome! I've been dreading considering moving my files from my slower computer to one of my faster ones because I didn't want to start another mardek 3 file (and it just takes so long to get to my point in the game I'm at) Thanks Tass!

  • Hey tass. Where can I find the files if I downloaded the .swf file and play it locally?

  • @pliskin100 localhost is the folder name

  • Tass Thx so much :) and i loved the video ^^

  • Dude you make the most of, FREE :)

  • Great job, tass!

  • What about Windows 7? please help

  • @millarmax same as vista

  • I can't find micromedia on XP!

  • @danman1950 No offense I'm not trying to be rude but it's macromedia

  • You look like the guy from IndyMogul

  • hey tass

    my website is called funny-games

    help plz

  • @LewiG666

that site was too messy and the icons were to small.

  • Hi Tass Im playing a game called 'Larry and the gnomes'. when i open the website's location it has lots of games and another folder containing more folders with names of games, i can't find the games SOL file in the first part but i can find a folder with its name on, ive tried dragging it into the new websites location but nothing happened, help? :(

  • @iCurtisDom what site did you play it on and what site do you want to move it to? you need to make sure that you play it on the new site, so that you create a sol on that site to be replaced.

  • @tasselfoot I'm not sure what I did, I moved some files about and stuff and it's now working :) Thanks for the videos and the help :D

  • you are wonderful

  • Does it work if I have a saved file on one website and I need to put it in kongregate for achievements. Is that possible?

  • @Bbwalldude yup. it definitely should work. so long as you do it correctly. :)

  • @tasselfoot okay. thanks. Ya know, it's pretty cool that you responded so quickly. Most famous people on Youtube with a lot of videos don't respond to comments to un famous people like me. Thanks again.

  • Very helpful. Many thanks for taking the time to do this. I would have never been able to figure this out on my own!

    You rock!

  • Hey can you help me find KeepBusy.com

  • Does it make a difference if I try to transfer the save file from one account on the same Windows XP computer to another? I'm getting a new computer in a month or so, so I wanted to test out if I could transfer save files properly before then by trying to move from 1 account to another.

  • @Horticultural1 you can test it out by transferring from 1 website to another. aka, play the game on kongregate, then move your save file to the same game on armor games. i think different accounts on the same PC would depend on how the computer's permissions are set up... although save files probably would be local to each account.

  • Thank you so much for this awesome video!

So, after I find my save files, I can just copy and paste them to the flash drive, right? When I go to another computer, do I have to go and copy the save files back into this same folder or is there a way to run it directly off of my flash drive (if that makes any sense!) Thank you again for your time and effort in creating these videos for the less-talented among us!

  • @Horticultural1 you'll need to move it back to the same location as you got it from. however, first, you'll need to create a save file on the new machine.. THEN replace it with the save file from the other computer. if you create the location yourself, then play the game, the game will likely overwrite your old file with a new one. Always load and save a game on the new machine / site before transferring the save file from the old location.

  • @tasselfoot That makes perfect sense! Thanks for your lightning-fast response!

  • Would it be safe if I deleted everything in, "C:\Users\Demon\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\EBVPLBK2?"

  • Hey Tass, I need help finding ZunderFury, I've searched thru twice carefully and I guess I just missed it or something... Thanks.

  • @ThrashingKOKris if you're looking on Kong, the easiest way is to load the game, then scroll to the bottom of the page. Rollover the "Contact" link and it will have a reference number associated with the URL. That number is where you save file is. If it's 00084567, that means your file is in gamez / 0008 / 4567.

  • gordan freeman! xD

  • I Friended you on Kongregate Oh and Tass it sucks that FFR I didn't get to play that D:

  • Let me tell you something Tass

People dont install linux to be cool, some of us use it to escape viruses!

You dont even have to install it, get a Live CD

If your cool enough to know how to transfer files, your cool enough to do a one time boot

  • Hai..

I play the A Knight's Story in kong for long long time but today.. My save data is missing.. I dont know what to do... Plss help me...

  • How to do it a Portuguese Windowns Seven please?

PM me please if someone knows, thanks :D

  • i copied the saved file for Necronator from armorgames to kongregate, but then i played, my saved file wasn't there.

  • I can't find the file for 'Epic War 3'. Oh and how do you import the save files to a different computer? I might be getting a mac once I get enough cash.

  • Gordon Freeman!

  • How do you do it for Ubuntu?

  • @holonboy Ubuntu is a Linux OS... I stated in the vid that I don't know the exact paths for Linux. However, a quick google search should tell you... and I suspect it's very similar to the paths for Windows/Mac.

  • I'm doing this with my Bloons Tower Defense 4 but nothing is happening. Help please?

  • @GuitarHeroDice BTD4 has server-side storage on most sites, as NinjaKiwi uses the MochiCoins system. So, you need to have a MochiCoin account... then just log into your account on different sites. However, this won't work on Kongregate, as Kong doesn't allow MochiCoins on their site; so Kong has local storage, vs server-side on other sites.

  • @tasselfoot

So basicly, the one game I need to do this with, is the one game I can't do it with? Well that blows. I'm too lazy to gold all the maps again :(

  • @tasselfoot how to you access your dream world saved file

  • @Eddie100192 You don't have to. Dream World is an MMO, which has server-side storage, so there is no save file. If you're playing DW on Kong, then your DW account data is linked to your Kongregate account; just log into your Kong account from anywhere and load up DW. If you're playing somewhere else, it should function the same way... log in / pw to get into your account which has your data.

  • thanks, man I didn't knew how to open hidden folders

  • Problem: some save file folders that you know are the game appear to have NO sol. file in them when you DID save them to your computer.

Are they saved in a secret folder i havent found yet?

  • Actually, I'm on Vista and I can access Folder Options through a Tools panel exactly like the XP part.

  • Hey Tass, I'm just wondering how you would get BTD4 mochigames version to the Kongregate version? I beat the game mochigames "style" but Kongregate came out with achievements. I can't log in to mochigames through Kongregate.

  • @landwartech Excellent question! And the unfortunate answer is that you can't. NinjaKiwi uses Mochi for their Microtransaction platform and server-side storage of save files... but Kongregate has their own MTX system, Kreds, and doesn't allow other MTX systems on their site. SO... since your BTD4 save file is stored on Mochi's servers and not locally, and you can't access your Mochi account on Kong... you're SOL. It sucks, I know. And it happened to me too!

  • @tasselfoot thanks for the info. Too bad though. :(

  • is that you

  • So how are you going to move the saved files if you only showed us how to find them?! =(

  • @AceTrainerBlue copy. paste.

  • ther is another game site ot is mostfungames.

  • you are using camtasia studio or what? please answer

  • Everytime you said the letter "s" it hurt my ears -.-

  • You are a legend! I can't thank you enough. I didn't even realise it was possible before I saw this video. Thanks again!

  • Hi tass, i want to transfer my files of epic war 1 from armorgames to kongregate but i cant find where to put the files in the kongregate folder

please help me thanks a lot

  • @ NorwegianStudios

No, you use a flash drive. This isn't an XBOX, so you don't use memory cards.

  • lol. everything is more complicated with vista

  • Thanks Tass. Just what I was looking for.

  • Omfg lol. You look like gordon freeman...sorta.

  • Hey, so how do you transfer from one computer to the next?

  • Soo, I was just wondering, uhm.

Does you name just so happen to be an allusion to a certain Kender? xD

  • @Kenderspirit

Well I just answered my own question, I love the profile setup ^_^

  • I bet he lives with his mom.

  • @SundayPK bet you do too

  • @DeathFrikinChikin haha i was about to say that and saw someone beat me to it, BROFIST!

  • @SundayPK

It's not a bad thing, your mum does all the cooking and stuff

  • Comment removed

  • nope. don't use facebook.

  • nice video! very informative and to the point.. i like that:D

  • Starcom´s Kong location?

  • gamez/0004/8040

  • Thank you! I thought the folder name should be as AG´s one, and that confused me. Now got both badges I was missing. Yay!

  • What do you do if you were playing a downloaded Flash Game on a different computer (using a flash drive) and want to save it on your flash drive, so you can play it at school or other friend's houses?

  • so you're playing it from the swf, off a flash drive. i don't think you'd be able to save. you'd have to put it on the computer, then find the temp file where the sol is being stored, then copy that back to the flash drive when you're done. then each time you want to keep playing, you'd have to replace the new sol on the computer with the one from the flash drive, then reverse that back when you're done to get the latest on the flash drive.

  • I found the folder on my XP computer, but it seems to be empty. Any clue why? I know I have the files, I've been using them.

  • oops ! bad timing ! thanks for the help, i subscribe right away :)

  • Hi tass, thanks for the vid.

Can you help me on this one ? Id like to move my Gemcraft Chapt. Zero from Armorgames to Kongregate. Can you tell me where to look, more precisely ?

Im sure this will help alot of otehr player, as this game is quite popular.

    Thanks !

  • that one is super simple to find... it's within the root folder listed near the end of the video for each site. game in a bottle uses the root folder for all their sols. easy to find via name too, starts with "giab". should be 2, one for the save file and one for preferences.

  • @siddbastard me again, i found the file, i just wasnt looking at the right place. I was was looking for a folder, but gemcraft saves dont have any. The file is simply placed at the root of the cache_armorgame folder.

  • hey i just saved .swf game to my desktop when i change the name the save gone... how i can find the save game of the desktop flash games...

  • i'm actually not sure where downloaded swf files have their sol's stored. it's likely still somewhere within the application data folder. but, yes, changing the swf name will change the folder name housing the sol, which will cause you to "lose" the sol.

  • Very helpful!

  • Thank you so much Tass, I am subscribing now. :P

  • I have searched through twice for Elona Shooter on Kongregate and I cannot find it! I found the file from before to transfer into the Kongregate Elona Shooter file, I just can't seem to find it, please help me Tass.

  • gamez/0006/1112
