  • Holy cow! Haven't seen Joe Buck in decades!

In this clip, both are impressive. Thank you, Bill!

  • It was Uncomfortable to watch Jon Voight. He appeared defensive. Most guests on Raw Nerve open up about interesting areas of there lives. That's what makes the show interesting. Shatner tried to get him to open up but Voight shut down and became antagonistic.

  • Did Jon Voight bite Shatner?

  • GrassyKnollTrolls, go back under the rock you came out from under and go back to concerning yourself with little green men and blaming Jews for every problem in the world, moron. *eye roll*

  • there are only three strories.....i do love this stuff x

  • jon voight--war pig

  • He still IS a fan of science fiction. He practices Science Fiction every day in real life in every interview he makes in every opinion he voices (LUNATIC!)

  • I love Jon Voight and I love Shit My Dad Says, great show!

  • Shatner is surprisingly engaged and educated in today;s politics & current events. He doesn't play the ridiculous fake game of left "liberal" vs. right "conservative" like Voight does all the time. Voight is constantly crusading for Israel & radical zionist jews. He NEVER tells the truth. It really is too bad cuz as an actor, I like him. But as a person, he's a total piece of crap traitor. It;s no wonder his daughter thinks he's garbage & he never sees his grandkids.

  • It's so great for young people to volunteer their service, but apparently not for you when it was your time !!

  • "Five People You Meet In Heaven" - watch it and live your life...

  • Very short but good interview! I am trying to contact Jon Voight.......as well as any other actors that feel the the people are not being represented by our politicians....any ideas? dh4thepeople.info

  • Is that Shatner's swimming pool, where the police suggested, for a minute or so, that Shatner murdered his wife?

  • Voight should thank his lucky stars for the Midnight Cowboy, his only memorable movie. If he could have been a great actor, the talent was wasted.

  • @JohnnyRock2000 40 years ago The Midnight Cowboy sold his ass on 42nd St. Today he swells it on Wall St. !!

  • This is the guy that plays Creed Bratton on The Office.

  • I once liked Shatner. I think that he is one that was too weak to stand up for what is right. He would rather be popular than to be real! I have lost so much respect for him. Go Jon!! A real man that can take the rejection.

  • Kirk is my mentor that he does a good roll play him Willaim will always be my actor cause I love his skill of acting..

  • Both great people for different reasons.....

  • Jon Voight has clearly lost his friggin' mind.

No wonder his daughter won't speak to him.

  • Voight is a senile right wing mouthpiece. He lies and says he loves Star Trek even though the show goes counter to everything he stands for. Off screen he would probably call Trek a commie attempt at brainwashing. Guess some folks will kiss a lot of ass for another shot at the limelight.

  • @Mahoivlich please explain how star trek goes against everything voight stands for. its liberals who are always wanting to cut money for space rpograms, look at what you hero obama is doing. he shut down the space program. if it were up to liberals, we'd have never even gotten the space program off the ground yet.

  • @bbasher79 Star Trek is a communist utopia. No money, no property, pure socialism. Kennedy the liberal pumped more money than any other president into NASA btw. I am no fan of obama but he is at least trying to cut costs to save some money during this recession.

  • @Mahoivlich I have to agree, it was a vote against 2 evils. and I think Obama was the lesser of the two.

  • Shatner is pretty hardcore.

  • begging for more support for racist israel is his only concern about america :)

  • gr8 news he's reuinted with angelina :)

  • lol the last line sums up all actors!

  • @themage747

Not just actors....all human beings too, you included.

  • A sweet guy like Jon shouldn't have to go home to a dark house.

  • Jon Voight should be in the next Star Trek movie in 2011

  • the real ppl in America were always republicans they stand up against slavery they gave blacks rights , and Jon Voilght just reminds me of those great ppl

  • Jon Voight = Obama hating racist douchebag.

  • Two very fine Actors. I really don't know what Mr Shatner's politics are (and don't really care), because he seems to be a very real person.

  • I love them both.

  • Love Jon Voight!!!

    Great American!!!

  • Go John Voight!! Great actor, great guy! Keep on keeping on, John...

  • Good actor , bit of a douche .

  • Logic please.

  • Translator please, I think! X)

  • You think this is something turn to the search " is the cross christian " will blow your mind

  • He is not a murderer. Listen to the 911 call. That is not acting. That is genuine shock, horror emotion. People who even suggest that he could have done such a thing anger me.

  • Wow! This looks like an interesting interview. I would like to see more. I think the fact that he lives alone at his age may be indicative of the quality of his interpersonal relationships, and partially explains his treatment of Angie. So sad. I'm sad for Angie's had to live w/the void of not having her Dads love in her life. I think this is why she admires Brad's parents and his family relationship so much. The Pitt's probably arent perfect, but they'd NEVER share details with the media.

  • JOE BUCK!!

  • jon voight is a JACKASS!

    lived in california too long

  • A good question would have been if he still talked to Angelina.

  • Who the fuck cares about his daughter

  • You think this is something turn to the search " is the cross christian " will blow your mind

  • This is very interesting. I love both these men...and I had never heard of William Shatner's show before. He did a great job with Jon. I am definitely interested in this show.

  • Questions he should have asked.

Were there a lot of hillbillies on the set of Deliverance?

Did you ever feel as though you were going to be violated at any time during filming?

Are you angry that you didn't get any trigger time in the move "Heat".

Did you ever feel like kicking Burt or Roberts ass?

Did you ever take up archery as a hobby or sport?

Do you think you son-in-law is pussy whipt?

  • Bill owns every interview he's on. It's only natural that he's a great interview"er".

  • ITS KIRK ! fuck sulu, he just never made it like shatner did,

imagine star trek without kirk? couldnt happen in that day. right? now imagine it without sulu ?

    easy done POINT MADE !

  • hey its angelina jolie's daddy

  • And to the guy who said Bill is a bad interviewer: I rarely see any host who can melt the ice so easily between him and his guest like Bill do.

  • Bill is fucking great! Keep doing Captain!!

  • You know, I am kind of surprised at how good Shatner is at interviewing people. I have watched a few of these clips, and his style and pace are really unique, and so much more interesting than the humdrum late night interviews you see. He delves into deeper and more interesting topics than the usual "plugging your latest project" interviews.

  • I agree. I've been a fan since I was a kid, but I was a bit skeptical about the show. He really does a great job of interviewing people. I like the intimate placing of the chairs, etc.

  • 2 of the coolest celebs ull ever meet

  • Awkward...

  • i want to see the rest of this interview!!!

  • O'Reilly? LoL ... "We'll do it live!!!!"

  • c'mon Jon, Bill is trying to ask u if u got a honey at home, man, c'mon!

  • Great interview

  • He thinks he is a patriot anyway...he tries.

He's on the wrong side of things tho.

  • Jon is a true patriot, scarce in hollyweird

  • That was a pretty cool interview I liked that one.

  • lol, and it illuminates the light switch.

  • No offense to Mr Voight but Governments use the things we admire - veterans, patriotism etc to detract attention from the real issues - of why we are sending people to die in the first place.

  • Sometimes the cost is higher if we don't. Would you rather we send a military or wait until something gets so much worse that more people will be sure to die?

  • The British fought a civil war to gain independence from our monarchy, the americans fought a war to gain theirs from us and even the French overthrew their tyrannical aristocrats - that is the only way change in a country can happen - from INSIDE. Freedom cannpot be imposed form outside.

  • In WW2 D-Day came into Europe from outside Continental Europe and helped free France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark etc...

  • Yes and those countries asked for help.

  • True. However the point stands. The resistance movements in those places were very brave but to stop Adolf outside help was needed.

Heck Germany didn't officially ask for help either but they are a democracy now too. (I know they too had an anti-nazi resistance movement, but it took the war to get rid of Hitler.)

Also Italy, I give a lot of credit to Italy because after they saw how Mussolini messed up the Italians shot him themselves.

  • DEP717,

And what should happen to those powerful American families who funded the Nazi's?

  • Depends. The truth is most business interests in the US and Western Europe did business in Germany up until the outbreak of WW2 - and doing so during the Nazi era inevitably meany dealing with the Nazis. Everyone from IBM to Coca-Cola who did business there had some contacts.

The mentality of the 1930s (Aside from Churchill who was trying to warn people) was "play along and they won't cause a problem." Oops.

  • Nah, I was talking about specific people who gave money directly to the Nazis even after we were officially at "war" with Germany. I'm not calling any names but you can look them up if you care to. Their sons and daughters became very prominent.

  • @celestialnubian

    You mean the Kennedys?

  • Nothing

  • They funded the Nazis through Knight of Malta Prescott Bush, the money behind the construction of Auschwitz and the author of "I Paid Hitler," papal baron, and Bush's fellow Knight of Malta, Fritz Thyssen - called "The Rockefeller of Germany" because all knew the money Bush was giving him was from Rockfeller and his Vatican-correspondent, family bank, Chase Manhattan, now the Iraqi State Bank.

RC collection plates funded the rise of Hitler. Rome is Bush is 9/11 and must die for treason.

  • Remember you can markup the videos with captions. It would be interesting to see what you think when Jon was "heated".

  • Voight was great as President Washington in the 'American Carol' film. Great to see him interviewed by Shatner!

  • is it perpetual war though or is it perpetual money making and us losing lives making thatcash credits resources what ever you want to call it

government is business its a pity US never used to be this way unfort it is in the 20th century now were in 21st and its more than ever

  • Oopps, slight ommision in my last comment...

Don't go by just this clip to "judge" Bill or Jon, watch the show first.

Also, you nailed it paperbacklou, big thats to both of them for a wonderful interview

  • GREAT INTERVIEW !

Exactly the kind of stuff people want to know. A day in the life.

    Thanks Bill; thanks Jon.

  • Welp... I just watched the show and this was one of the best interviews so far. I still have lots of respect for Bill. As for Jon, he's not just an awesome actor, he's a great person as well. All I can really say is watch the show and judge for yourself.

  • And while I may disagree with Voight politically, it's nice to see that there's a kinship among actors and actresses like the one that exists between Shatner and Voight.

  • Shatner and Voight are both great actors, and this is a great interview, but where does Jon get off saying that Bill has obviously never spent any time with the soldiers? What does he know? And that's good that he thanked them for their service, but the returning soldiers need more than thanks, Jon. They need accessible and affordable medical care, pensions, and a well-funded VA. And guess what Jon, Obama's going to a damn good job and fund the VA properly - way better than your hero Bush.

  • Obama's going to bring back the draft

  • That he may, but at least he has the balls to do something to get the job done in Iraq and finally bring American troops home. What would you prefer - that too few troops are kept in Iraq and the mission lingers on incessantly the way it did under Bush? Shinseki had told the administration they'd need at least 300,000 troops, and he was deliberately ignored. If Obama brings the draft back, it will be to finish the job Bush couldn't finish.

  • I keep hearing that more and more about a return of the draft. It may happen, with a twist, the ones who hate the military can do civilian work service instead; it would work!

  • I think the draft would work and it's more than just the draft; Obama will engage the nations in the region that need to be engaged so that they can come to the table and contribute to a stable and functional Iraq. They too have a stake in the outcome.

  • Actually now that I think about it... "Raw Nerve". If this video get's on my nerves... the show is living up to it's name :)

Sounds like racybr is right - about whatever that stream of conversation is about.

  • Hmmm, I liked most of the Shatner Project vids up to this point.

Jon Voight is an awesome actor and has a right to his views without ridicule - The same right that most liberal celebs get who aren't ridiculed. I'll have to see the complete show to "judge" William for myself, maybe I missinterpreted this video.

William Shatner is also entitled to his opinion, but I don't see anyone ridiculing him.

Ah heck, I'll watch the show and still love William either way:)

  • JixMa is an ass....Why can't Mr. Voight be allowed to speak his mind? Why does he have to say the same line of weak kneed liberal B.S. that is the fashion these days in order to keep JixMa and his ilk happy? Only one week to go and the miracles will begin, right JixMa?

  • [1]No, racybr. JixMa is most definitely NOT a fascist. I believe Fascism (and Communism, too) are evil. They concentrate the power into a few hands of the Elites in power that look out for their own selfish interests above those of the people. Their main concern (in both systems) is the welfare of the State, not the individual.

  • [2]As to the charge that I was attempting to silence Voight, no sir, I was not. Reread my initial comment and see there was no statement to the fact. I merely opined that I think Voight is nothing but a fool, waving the American flag in his blind support for her warmongering.

  • I'm not a Liberal, utwolfy. And Mr. Voight can speak his mind. I didn't say anything like, "Jon Voight should just shut the fuck up!" Did I now? All I did was call a spade, a spade - or in Voight's case, a fool and NeoConservative propagandist flagwaver. The kind that think perpetual war is the solution to all ills rather than the cause. George Orwell in "1984" warned us about perpetual war and GroupThink & NewsSpeak and how Big Brother knows what's best for you. It's all happening NOW! Wake up!

  • Jon Voight's quite a fool, quite a propagandist spouting the old party line of the flag-waving crowd about how great "The Troops" are, how great America is and all the rest of that bullshit the corporate-owned, pro-military, pro-war, mass media spoon feeds the American Sheeple every second of the day.

  • I'm from this messed up little turdball in space. How about you, racybr? The planet of UpJonVoight'sAss?

  • lol good one

  • nice

  • Jon Voight is an awesome actor, Runaway Train one of my favorites :D

  • Question: Is Bill and/or family planning on going to Disney World any time from now til end of July?

  • "until they edit it." lol

  • Turn the damn lights on!!!!!!!!!

  • I have always liked Jon. I remember a show way back in the day with Jon on it talking about his Daughter and all her problems. He talked about her trying to take her life and how she needed to get her life together. I think that's what made Angelina Jolie so angry. Jon just said it all out of love for her. I am glad Bill didn't bring it up on this clip. Sometimes it is better to come home to a dark house then an angry house. Maybe he has a dog that greeted him at his door. Go Jon!!!

  • I mentioned this in another video, but it's pretty annoying that Bill talks into his guests mouths. Finishing sentences etc. Why not just let them talk?

  • I twice had lunch with Jon Voight in the 1980s. He looks the same! Damn him. LOL

  • mikma was here

  • mikma!

  • Jon Voight...a Hollywood conservative...we need more of them...

  • Actually he's a neoconservative. Hollywood needs more Ron Paul conservatives.

  • Couldn't disagree more.

Not about Ron Paul...the fact he's a neocon. He's been a conservative for more than 20 years. That's not "new".

  • You're entitled to your opinion but when I hear Jon Voight talk politics, I hear the echo of the Weekly Standard, the Heritage Foundation, the National Review...all organizations that preach the Neocon doctrine. That's just my opinion. But I'm glad to see that you too think highly of Ron Paul.

  • No problem. During the campaign I wasn't too happy with the guy, but after the meltdown, and reviewing the works of all of the touted economist over the years, we are experiencing the aftereffects of a fiat currency that is on the decline.

  • guess who i am

    *takes off glasses*

    haha, its me!

    gotta love that joe buck!

    hahaha

  • hehehe that was so cute. then he goes, how ya doin? get ya picture took huh? i loved that movie too and he was gorgeous in it! ;)

  • Voight is cooler than cool. I am a fan and he can count me as a little light that shines on him. He is awesome!

  • Mr. Shatner is a titan, emblematic of that which is free from the mundane. Mr. Voight necessitates a discourse from a non-traditional perspective. That of peer, for this hot seat performance to balance the infotainment tightrope. Hopefully their work is edited well.

  • Bill has taken the time to appreciate his life and is at peace with it.

He always has and always will be my Hero ! Love ya Man !!!!

  • Bill is so probing. Love it.

  • I saw Jon interviewed last year. They asked about his daughter Angelina. Jon cried. What a pain to carry around...a daughter who wants nothing to do with you....

  • yeah, also knowing you have grandkids and not being able to share the joys of life with them. It's a very sad thing to happen to a parent, i pitty him so much

  • No harm Bill but what were you asking him? It seemed a bit blunt. Were you fishing for him to talk about his daughter, it didnt seem very nice to go on about him going home alone to an empty dark house and all that.

  • i think that's the point of Raw Nerve

  • They didn't seem to get on. Whats the point? To be rude to guests? Pick at their insecurities or try to paint a picture that aint there?

  • i wasn't defending it, i'm just suggesting that seems to be the point of the program

  • Can we see Raw Nerve in the UK?

  • I feel the need to write something - but I don't know what.

What is Muscha (If I spelt it wrong sorry!) is that like the ora or life force..?

Jon is right even when it's the darkest of nights even with no moon there are still lights billions of them, you just need to learn how to look for them. Then become hypnotised by their magic. Become one with the universe. A cloudless night with no light polution preferably when it's below freezing. Don't forget to wrap up.

    Thank you for sharing.

  • Minutae is what he said, though I may have spelled it wrong. It basically means tiny details.

  • Thank you.. learning everyday.C

  • cool bill!!!

  • This Is far better

    Mais candid,

better than any of the scrap that Main stream Media can produce.

I am happy to believe that this type of exchange is the way *interviews* an the such will be disseminated in the future to the bane of Televisiones ou News papiers.

    Bravo!!,

  • amazing guy, Voight!

  • have you ever talked to Richard Dean Anderson yous 2 meeting up would be a brillianr interview

  • that would be awesome rda and bill shatner

  • I think it is sad Jon Voight has been seen on TV when ever Angelina gives birth wishing her and Brad all the best and he NEVER saw those grand children yet, how sad they can't make up.

  • If I hadn't ever heard of you before, Bill, I would swear that your calling would be as a chat show host. Actor to actor is very compelling when they're not skirting around the nitty gritty. You rock, Mr. Shatner.

  • Voight is cool, not quite as cool as Shatner but cool :)

  • yeah Boob, yer cool 2.

  • It's hard to believe he is Angelina Jolie's father.

  • *GASP* NO HD?!?!?!?!

  • too bad I cant see your show on regular broadcast. i don't have cable. Otherwise i'd watch. Say there wouldnt be a way I could cath it on the nect would there?

  • So far the Bio channel is putting videos of the shows on their website. Since it's on super extended cable, I think half the population can't get the channel. We need to get the cable carriers to add it to the regular channels.

  • Thank you Bill for posting this. Thank you Jon Voight for all that you are doing! I really admire your off screen work as well as onscreen work. My favourite movie of yours was Table for Five. Best wishes! :)

  • Cool clip. Now I gotta go kick my Tivo for not catching the show

  • So this is what happens when Captain Kirk meets the midnight cowboy :)

  • shatnav! or... navshat! =P

  • very nice video
