  • It sounds great - I am toying with getting an open back banjo (courtesy of Santa!) but I am in UK and the selection is limited - Deering and Goldtone have dealers here, but that is about it..... thanks for putting your music out there - very encouraging for beginners like me!

  • Hi Guy - this is great (found my way here via groundhogpeggy) What model of banjo is that you are playing?

  • Hello And thanks for the note .. This is a special model from Mike Ramsey . A bit wider and deeper then a lot of his banjos ... It has a great heavy heeled neck of a Dobson type .. All the best , Guy

  • thanks good playing

  • Dick Hello , Have a look at Dwight Diller here on YT . He has very strong feelings about what frailing should be and with that in mind is still one of its , the banjos biggest supporters and a great musician .. Bruce Moilski and Bob Carlin will also be of interest . I still want to do you some simple pre bluegras up picking .. I Am A Pilgrim is coming . Yours Guy
