  • I am sorry that your furbaby will be losing a leg but you can see NO PROBLEM. If you look at some other videos I have posted you will see that she can drag her older "brother" around as well. She is a very tough, agile girl. I am sure you find the same for your Shepred. Keep me posted on how she is doing.

  • So nice to see this and thanks so much for posting. Our 2 year old Shepherd was hurt yesterday and the vet says she'll have to lose a front leg at a cose of nearly $900. I prayed about it and thought to look for some help here. Your video gives me peace that the cost of amputation is worth it because she really won't lose any quality of life. Thank you and God bless.

  • Nothing is stronger than nature!!!

  • My Rotty has to have his right front leg amputated this week and watching Cassidy has been a HUGE help in the process of understanding and accepting the process and has given us a GREAT deal of hope and a brighter outlook for the days to come! Thank you SO much for sharing these wonderful videos! My dog and Cassidy are SO much alike! Bowling balls, laser pointers, playing with his dog brothers, etc. I really appreciate these posts! Thank You!!

  • @TCStregani THANK YOU for watching Cassidy and her crazy brothers. You will be amazed how how quickly your furbaby get's up and going. There is no doubt that we are bigger babies than dogs ;-) Just this morning she went on a VERY long walk/run and then swam. She taught herself to swim because she didn't like that her older brother was having fun and she wasn't. The hardest part will be to keep the weight down because you will want to give treats.... Let me know how everything goes.

  • Hey my dog has cancer so i made a video for him and if your reading this i would really appreciate you going to my sight and watching it thank you :) x

  • ooohh my god! she is running so fast!! im so happy for her!!! thanks god! the dogs are more stronger than us... you were right my friend!!

  • nice.:) poor dog.. but nice to see that he/she can live a perfect life with 3 legs too... :)

  • @PieceGirl12 No need to feel sorry for Cassidy. She rules her two brothers, who are bigger than her. When I first got her (with only 3 legs) I learned from the rescue person that she was happier after the leg was taken off. She is the most agile of our dogs. She can do anything. Thnnk You for caring.

  • í was attacked and bitten as a kid by 2 rottweilers,so after that incident i was scared like hel of all dogs. But when i was older, somebody told me the only way to get over my fear of dogs is to get one myself, and so that is what i did, i got a dog ,mix between newfie and bernese and landseer(5 years ago),and eversince i lost all my fear of dogs, actually i am dog crazy now.

  • one question. did u have to socialize ur rotties with kids or r they just naturaly nice

  • @brisqu They were naturally sweet, as most Rotts are. Our first Rott was really good with kids the first time she met one. (we only have furbabies) That being said, I think all dogs need to be socialized with people and other dogs. Cassidy and Roddy visit nursing homes. Taz is still a bit young. Do you have a Rott?

  • @RodCasTaz no i don't have a rott but i am really considering it. they look very sweet. i was just watching on animal planet that training is a must but they kept saying it over and over again. and thanks for answering my question. Also where did u get ur rotts

  • @brisqu Rotts are wonderful dogs. Personally, I believe in training and socializing all dogs - tiny or big. Certainly with any bigger dog it is important because you don't want them pulling you around ;-) We have a neighbor that has a small dog(poodle), he bit my big boy the first time they met... my sweet boy walked away. Their dog needs serious training.

All my dogs are rescue. I believe strongly in rescue. You can get them at any age - puppy to grown.

  • @RodCasTaz i am with you there, all dogs need to be socialized well. Even the sweetest breed like a newfie or a golden retreiver can become pretty nasty and inbalanced if you do not socialize them well. I have a mix between newfounlanddog and bernese mountaindog, and we took all the effort to socialize him well as a puppy, and he is now a very balanced, selfassured dog, very friendly. By the way, your dogs look very socialised too, they seem to be very nice dogs.

  • @brisqu Did you see the video of Cassidy pulling our other dog? Pretty funny.

  • @RodCasTaz yes i have and i think it is so adorable

  • i just rescued a 3 legged english bulldog.

he plays, runs, and has such an outgoing personality! he gets around perfectly fine!

  • Can you tell me how old she is?

  • She was apprx 2 yrs old when this video was made. We adopted her as a tripawd when she was apprx 1 yr. old.

She is now 4 and still full of fun and energy.

Did you see her recent motivational video?

  • haaa this makes me happy my doberman puppy has lost her leg in a accedent and just know she can run and play makes me happy

  • I would like to find out how your furbaby is. Which leg did she have amputated? She will be fine and full of energy, trust me!

  • well her front right leg was and shes good but she cant go near my bull dog enymore

  • Cassidy's back legs are pure muscle. In a short sprint she was timed at 19 MPH. I know she actually could have gone faster if she had a bit longer ... she was just getting up her speed.

  • Three legged dogs (I have one) develop their muscles much more than four legged dogs do, so in a full sprint they are actually faster =)

  • So very true! Did you take a look at some her going up the stairs? She's either a frog or a kangaroo!

  • I have a feeling that 3 legs doesn't realize she/he is missing a leg.

  • You are right. She doesn't have a clue she is missing anything. ;-)

  • This video is making me really happy. We just found out that our dog might need to have her front left leg amputated and its good to see dogs that can still have a great quality of life with only three legs. Thanks for posting it

  • hmmm very nice doggie play and Cassie is my Champion!

  • Thanks for the nice comment on Cassidy, she is my champion too. We are getting ready to go to an elementary school so that some kids can read to her. One of my others does this as well. They are also both therapy dogs. Third one is in training.

    happy day.

  • I wish you ar for your dogs only the best!

  • I am exhauseted just watching Cassidy :)
