@facabella as stated by White an the director of this movie, this performace took place after their 10th anniversary show and after party. I'd assume the crying was from a very special show played not too long ago
While it is emotional, I wouldn't say it's a sad scene. Yes, Meg cries and Jack gets a little emotional, but I think it was the high point of being in a band together for 10 years. They've been through so much and all the feelings come out here. Some sad, some happy, but all all around an emotionally beautiful scene.
id say she knew her anxiety was beating her and that the white stripes were coming to an end...i hope she beats it one day, if Brian Wilson can do it Meg White can
GET BACK TOGETHER! when the band split they said that the white stripes are now what we (the fans) make of them from now on...or something like that..and i say that that they are too precious to the musical world to abandon it. they need to be united once again :(
I love how you can see how connected they are to their music and to each other. I think they still do love each other though they are divorced. It seems like the divorce doesnt matter because of how they could still create something so beautiful. It may have been a struggle but sometimes you gotta push to make a great song and performance. Though the band broke up these two are still extremely talented musicians. Love them both
The White Stripes would like to announce that today, February 2nd, 2011, their band has officially ended and will make no further new recordings or perform live.
The reason is not due to artistic differences or lack of wanting to continue, nor any health issues as both Meg an Jack are feeling fine and in good health.
It is for a myriad of reasons, but mostly to preserve what is beautiful and special about the band and have it stay that way."
At the end I was like: godamit it jack! Your lady is crying, hug her for god sake's. and then I was like: Oh, cool, can someone hug me now?
